В официальном пресс-релизе Samsung Electronics объявил, что занял 1-е место в рейтинге портфелей патентов, имеющих ключевое значение для стандартов сотовой связи (Standard Essential Patents, SEP). Данные об этом были опубликованы в отчёте берлинской аналитической компании IPlytics «Кто возглавляет гонку патентов 5G? Анализ патентного ландшафта заявленных ПВЗС и вкладов в стандарты».
Кроме того, Samsung занял 2-е место в двух других категориях: доле выданных и активных семейств 5G-патентов и доле выданных и активных 5G-патентов, среди которых хотя бы один выдан EPO (Европейским патентным ведомством) или USPTO (офисом патентов и товарных знаков США).
В прошлом году Samsung тоже стал лидером по патентам на технологии связи пятого поколения в результате научно-исследовательской работы в сфере стандартизации 5G.
Samsung одним из первых приступил к поставке комплексных решений 5G, включая наборы микросхем, радиомодули и ядро. Благодаря постоянной научно-исследовательской работе вендор стимулирует развитие сетей 5G на отраслевом уровне, опираясь на своё портфолио продуктов, - от полностью виртуализированных сетей RAN и ядра до решений для частных сетей и средств автоматизации на базе искусственного интеллекта. Samsung Extends Leadership in 5G Patents
Samsung Electronics announced that it has ranked first in 5G Standard Essential Patent (SEP)(1) shares according to a patent essentiality study conducted by IPlytics,(2) a Berlin-based market intelligence firm comprised of economists, scientists and engineers. The findings were published in IPlytics’ recent report: “Who is leading the 5G patent race? A patent landscape analysis on declared SEPs and standards contributions.”
Samsung also ranked second in two other categories: share of 5G granted(3) and active patent(4) families,(5) and share of 5G granted and active patent families with at least one of them granted by the EPO (European Patent Office) or USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office).
Last year, Samsung also led in 5G patents as a result of its research and development of 5G standards and technologies.
