Для помощи бизнесу в США, чьи работники посещают офисы, компания Radiant разработала решение для мониторинга социального дистанцирования на базе носимых TIZEN-устройств Galaxy Watch. Предустановленное на Galaxy Watch Active2 приложение Radiant RFID использует технологию BLE (Bluetooth с низким энергопотреблением), чтобы измерить расстояние между владельцами таких же смарт-девайсов. Samsung and Radiant have unveiled a social distancing app for offices with the TIZEN-powered Galaxy Watch

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread around the world. But despite the fact that telecommuting remains for a large number of professions, in some countries employees of various companies are gradually returning to offices. According to a survey of employers from New Jersey (USA), the main criterion for returning workers to "offline" is their confidence in safety.

Under these circumstances, business is taking unprecedented measures to comply with sanitary safety standards, especially in industries where remote work is impossible. In order to avoid new outbreaks of disease, companies conduct regular testing of employees, provide them with masks, gloves, sanitizers and other personal protective equipment.

The Radiant RFID app preinstalled on the Galaxy Watch Active2 uses BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) technology to measure the distance between owners of similar smart devices. If a person is less than 180 cm away from another, the watch vibrates and a “Be careful” warning appears on the screen. Also, the watch turns an alarm signal if employees gather in a group of more than 10 people. This solution helps you comply with social distancing requirements and proactively alert employees in offices, factories and warehouses about the danger of virus infection. Radiant estimates that this can reduce the number of dangerous interactions in offices and manufacturing by 65-70% within a few days after starting using the watch with the Radiant RFID app enabled.

The work's radius of the BLE is almost equal to the distance that employees need to maintain to reduce the infection risk. Thus, the two devices "see" each other exactly at the moment when people violate the social distancing rule. This significantly reduces the number of false positives that tend to cause users to ignore alerts.

The Radiant RFID application does not need to be additionally installed on a smartphone, and all data that passes through the device is anonymized. Thus, the personal information of employees cannot be compromised. In addition, Samsung's multi-layer KNOX security platform is built into Samsung devices to help protect user data at both hardware and software levels. KNOX continuously monitors devices, registering any suspicious activity and attempted malicious attacks.

The introduction of such monitoring systems allows businesses to reduce healthcare costs. According to an analysis by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), a 10% increase in COVID-19 infection translates into a 1-3% increase in overall health care costs for employers. The application also analyzes anonymized data on how colleagues interact, which in case of illness of one of the employees allows you to track who he communicated with and not to quarantine the entire workshop or department in the office.

This isn't the only way Galaxy Watch wearables are used to contain the virus. For example, the Hand Wash app for the Galaxy Watch reminds you to wash your hands at regular intervals and automatically starts a timer for 25 seconds when the user starts doing it. Samsung Electronics UK объявляет об активации функции экстренного вызова на носимых устройствах с TIZEN 5.5 и выше

Функция отправки экстренных сообщений (SOS) со смарт-часов Galaxy, ранее доступная только на Android-смартфонах Samsung, теперь запущена на девайсах с операционной системой TIZEN, сообщается на британском новостном сайте южнокорейского техногиганта. Владельцы часов серии Galaxy теперь смогут обратиться за экстренной помощью, оказавшись в опасной ситуации. Достаточно 3-х кликов на кнопке блокировки, чтобы информация о вашем местоположении и призывом о помощи была отправлена родственникам и (или) службам спасения.

Функция SOS позволяет автоматически звонить или отправлять текстовую информацию 4-м заранее выбранным абонентам, при этом не требуется набора номера.

После активации вы можете разослать предупреждение, трижды нажав на кнопку Home (она же кнопка блокировки). После этого часы немедленно отправят экстренное сообщение и ссылку на карту Google с указанием вашего местоположения. Эта опция также позволяет транслировать изображения с передней и задней камеры вашего смартфона, а также сделать пятисекундную аудиозапись с призывом о помощи.

Вот как вы можете активировать SOS-вызов на часах Samsung Galaxy:

1) Откройте приложение Galaxy Wearable.

How to Activate SOS messages on your Samsung Galaxy Devices

The Samsung Galaxy SOS messages feature, which has been available on Samsung Galaxy smartphones since 2016, allows you to reach out for help if you find yourself in a situation where you do not feel safe and need to raise an emergency alert.

The feature enables you to auto-call and message up to four designated contacts without having to dial them.

Once activated, you can raise an alert by clicking your lock button three times. This will automatically send an SOS message and a Google map link of your location to your designated contacts. The feature also shares pictures from both the front and rear cameras of your smartphone, as well as a five-second audio recording.

Here’s how you can activate Samsung Galaxy SOS messages:

Samsung Galaxy smartphone[1]

1) Go to Settings.

2) Go to the Advanced Features, and select Send SOS messages.

3) You can select the recipient from your contact book or create a new contact, adding the mobile number for the recipient so they can receive your message

To disable this feature, follow the same steps above: Settings > Advanced Features > Send SOS messages > OFF.

Samsung Galaxy smart watch[2]

1) Open the Galaxy Wearable app

2) Go to Send SOSes, and then tap the switch to enable SOS messages

3) You’ll be asked to add an emergency contact. You can either create contact or select from contacts, and then add or create your designated contact.

 

Once activated, you can raise an alert by clicking your home button on your Samsung Galaxy smart watch three times. This will automatically send an SOS message followed by a link to your location.

If you would like the option of cancelling if activated accidentally, swipe to activate the Count down before sending feature, which waits five seconds before sending SOS messages and calls to allow them to cancelled.

To disable this feature, follow the same steps above: Open Galaxy Wearable app > Send SOSes > OFF.
