Singapore-based Swingvy draws $7m from Samsung-led investors
Swingvy, a Singapore-based human resource platform company, said on May 3 it has raised $7 million from a group of investors led by Korean tech giant Samsung’s venture capital investment arm.
The company said it has raised the investment in a Series A round of funding led by Samsung Venture Investment Corp. and other investors, paving the way to expand its presence in Asia, starting with Taiwan.
Launched in 2016, Swingvy provides an all-in-one HR, payroll and benefits platform. It serves over 5,000 companies and has offices in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Seoul.
The venture capital unit of the Korean tech giant has mostly invested in promising startups in North America and Europe, and Swingvy is its first investment in Southeast Asia.

Cinema City Glilot стал 38-м по счёту кинотеатром в мире, где установлено самое передовое решение от Samsung/HARMAN.
Напомним, что уникальный светодиодный экран Samsung Onyx поддерживает разрешение вплоть до 4K (2160x4096), стандарт HDR (динамическое регулирование соотношения яркости/контраста/цветового баланса), форматы 2D и 3D и обладает способностью отображения идеального белого и чёрного цветов.
Экраны Samsung Onyx по своим характеристикам в несколько раз превосходят возможности лучших кинопроекторов с лазерными излучателями, в том числе по длительности наработки на отказ.
В настоящее время Samsung предлагает конфигурации экрана шириной 5, 10 и 14 метров для залов различной вместимости.

Samsung launched the first Onyx LED cinema in Israel

SAMSUNG UNVEIL NEW ROYAL COLLECTION GALLERY ON THE FRAME TV
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., announced the launch of a new gallery of works from the Royal Collection to the Samsung Art Store for owners of The Frame TV.
The Frame goes above and beyond a traditional TV, switching to ‘Art Mode’ when it is turned off so that it looks like a piece of art hanging on your wall, perfectly complementing any living space. The works from the Royal Collection joins a growing library of more than 1000 pieces of established and emerging artists on the Samsung Art Store, curated by several international organizations, galleries and museums., including the V&A, Tate Gallery, Magnum Photos and the Van Gogh Museum.
One of the significant paintings available on The Frame from the Royal Collection is the portrait of The Royal Family in 1846, Franz Xaver Winterhalter – the well-known painting captures Queen Victoria as both sovereign and mother and currently hangs in the East Gallery of Buckingham Palace.
Another addition to The Frame collection is “The Shipbuilder and his Wife”: Jan Rijcksen (1560/2 – 1637) and his Wife, Griet Jans, Remrandt van Rijin, a thought-provoking piece of art as married couples are usually shown at this time as two separate portraits often with some gestures or glances linking the two. The painting was purchased by George IV in 1811. The final artwork to the collection is The Five Eldest Children of Charles I, Anthony van Dyck, a work of art acknowledging both the youth and the status of its royal subjects commissioned by Charles I. The painting left the Royal Collection twice, during the Commonwealth and under James II, before being repurchased by Georgie III in 1765.
Other paintings available from the Royal Collection include Madonna and Child in a Landscape with Tobias and the Angel, Titian, which is hailed as one of Titian’s exceptional work and was presented to Charles II in 1660.
