Samsung представил модернизированную версию VR-гарнитуры HMD Odyssey+

Примерно год назад Samsung представил гарнитуру смешанной реальности HMD Odyssey стоимостью 500 долларов США. Она получила пару дисплеев с диагональю 3,5 дюйма и разрешением 1440х1600 пикселей каждый, что соответствовало плотности 616 пикселей на дюйм.
Сегодня Samsung представил модернизированную версию этой гарнитуры — HMD Odyssey+. Главное отличие новинки — повышенная чёткость. При этом сами дисплеи не изменились и разрешение осталось прежним. Однако за счёт применения новаторской технологии Anti-Screen Door Effect (Anti-SDE) Samsung удалось решить проблему так называемого эффекта "противомоскитной сетки". Согласно официальному пресс-релизу вендора, это делает изображение более чётким, что позволяет говорить о воспринимаемой плотности в 1233 пикселя на дюйм, что вдвое выше, чем фактическое значение.
Технология Anti-SDE заключается в применении специального решения, позволившего рассеивать свет, поступающий от каждого пикселя. Это приводит к тому, что рассмотреть пространство между пикселями (что и является тем самым эффектом "сетки") становится практически невозможно.
Кроме использования упомянутой выше технологии, инженеры Samsung сделали обновлённую гарнитуру легче (589 г против 645 г). В остальном устройство не изменилось, равно как и его цена.
На некоторых рынках (включая Южную Корею, США, Китай, Гонконг и Бразилию) гарнитуры HMD Odyssey+ появились уже сегодня.

Availability

The Samsung HMD Odyssey+ will also be on showcase at Unite Los Angeles at the Microsoft booth 309 +310 from October 23 – 25, 2018.

1 Samsung Anti-SDE AMOLED Display solves SDE by applying a grid that diffuses light coming from each pixel and replicating the picture to areas around each pixel. This makes the spaces between pixels near impossible to see. As a result, your eyes perceive the diffused light as part of the visual content, with a perceived PPI of 1,233PPI, double that of the already high 616PPI of the previous generation Samsung HMD Odyssey+.

Сегодня на специальном пресс-брифинге в Сеуле представители Samsung рассекретили дизайн нового семейства ноутбуков, получивших название Flash. Новые портативные PC отличаются необычным визуальным решением, которое не пересекается с прежними линейками подобных устройств.
В частности, покрытие рабочей панели имитирует структуру ткани, а круглые кнопки выполнены в стиле клавиатуры печатной машинки. Иными словами, Flash действительно отличаются от других моделей на рынке. 
Компьютеры позволяют очень быстро загружать файлы по Wi-Fi со скоростью до 1,7 Гбит/с благодаря наличию беспроводного адаптера Intel последнего поколения. Также в наличии имеется сканер отпечатков пальцев, порт USB-C и  IPS-дисплей с диагональю 13,3 дюйма и Full HD-разрешением. Об аппаратной платформе в предварительном анонсе умалчивается, но с большой долей вероятности в компьютерах серии Flash используются процессоры Intel Core последнего поколения. Также, скорее всего, в аппаратах установлены SSD объёмом 128-512Гб и 8-16Гб ОЗУ.
В Южной Корее стоимость минимальной конфигурации определена в $715. Поступят ли Samsung Flash на зарубежные рынки, пока точно неизвестно. Но если учесть, что рекламный промо-ролик новинок появился на международном сайте корпорации, почти наверняка можно ожидать поставки в Северную Америку и некоторые другие регионы. 

Samsung Electronics showcases new laptop Flash

Samsung Electronics Co. on Monday introduced a new laptop named the Flash, which incorporates Intel Corp.'s latest wireless lan card for a faster Internet experience, along with a retro-style keyboard.
The South Korean tech giant said the new laptop boasts an Internet speed of up to 1.7 gigabytes per second, allowing users to download large files and enjoy high-resolution video content online smoothly through its 13.3-inch Full HD display. The product is customized for network services of KT Corp., South Korea's No. 2 mobile carrier.
The new Flash laptops, available in the colors white, charcoal and coral, also come with a unique look through the retro-looking keyboard, making them stand out from other rival products in the market.
Another notable feature of the latest device is the security system built under close cooperation with Microsoft Corp.
Running on the Microsoft Window 10 operating system, the laptop is installed with a fingerprint screening sensor. Samsung's secret folder also helps users keep confidential files safe and protected.
The Flash laptop also boasts improved connectivity with other devices and supports the Universal Flash Storage cards, which are five times faster in terms of reading speed compared with existing Micro SD cards.
Samsung said it was able to make a new laptop that boasts faster Internet and stronger security under cooperation with Intel, Microsoft and KT, and claimed the sleek design will especially attract millennial consumers.
The price tag of the Samsung Laptop Flash has been set at 810,000 won (US$715).

Мобильный платёжный сервис Samsung Pay совместно с крупнейшим финансовым супермаркетом «Банки.ру» запустил инструмент «Финансовые сервисы».
Новый сервис позволяет владельцам смартфонов Samsung, не покидая приложение Samsung Pay, получить всю необходимую информацию об интересующем финансовом продукте в одном месте и в один клик оформить заявку на него.
С помощью сервиса «Финансовые продукты» можно сравнить предложения российских банков по кредитным картам, кредитам и депозитам или отфильтровать их по определённым параметрам, для того, чтобы выбрать наиболее подходящий для себя вариант.
Актуальность информации о представленных в сервисе финансовых продуктах и передача заявок в кредитные организации обеспечивает финансовый супермаркет “Банки.ру”.
Функция “Финансовые сервисы” доступна в приложении Samsung Pay для совместимых смартфонов версии 3.6.22 и выше.
Мобильный платёжный сервис Samsung Pay был представлен в России 29 сентября 2016 года. За 2 года партнёрами сервиса стали более 60 банков и финансовых организаций, представивших сервис Samsung Pay держателям своих карт. 6 сентября 2018 года в рамках приложения пользователям стали доступны денежные переводы с карты на карту по номеру телефона.
