Samsung продемонстрировал домашнюю технику нового поколения на выставке EuroCucina 2018 в Милане

Техногигант Samsung объявил о развёртывании своих стендов на выставке EuroCucina 2018, которая проводится раз в 2 года в Милане (Италия). Южнокорейская корпорация представлена на этом мероприятии впервые, о чём говорится в официальном пресс-релизе.
Участие в этом престижном смотре достижений ведущих производителей бытовой техники направлено на повышение имиджа и репутации брэнда Samsung в регионе, который славится своими продуктами этого сегмента, а также кулинарами высочайшего уровня.

Благодаря эксклюзивным решениям инженеров Samsung Electronics, печь Double Cook Flex™ предотвращает смешивание запахов совершенно непохожих блюд (например, мясного гуляша и яблочного пирога), а также позволяет сократить время приготовления за счёт применения системы быстрого предварительного разогрева камер.    
Dual Cook Flex™ предлагает ряд интеллектуальных функций для оптимизации процесса приготовления. Например, их владельцы могут активировать предварительный разогрев духовки не вставая с дивана и дистанционно контролировать приготовление пищи через приложение SmartThings, установленное на смартфоне или смарт-телевизоре. Кроме того, автоматическое «Руководство по приготовлению пищи» подскажет наиболее оптимальные режимы, правильно сочетая температуру и время приготовления, в зависимости от применяемых ингредиентов и типа продуктов.
На EuroCucina 2018 также были представлены новейшие смарт-холодильники серии Family Hub следующего поколения, которые маркируются как Family Hub 3.0. Они работают на новой версии операционной системы TIZEN, которая значительно расширяет их возможности.
Если в прошлых линейках Family Hub можно было использовать встроенный в дверцу интерактивный экран как продвинутый планшет, подключённый к интернету и соединённый с внутренними IP-камерами, отслеживающими наличие продуктов, то в версии 3.0 к делу подключили искусственный интеллект на базе собственной разработки Samsung Bixby. Этот голосовой помощник способен самостоятельно различать наличие или отсутствие тех или иных продуктов, а также выполнять голосовые и дистанционные команды пользователей, отправленные со смартфонов, смарт-телевизоров и даже смарт-часов. Кроме того, значительно расширены возможности устройства, позволяющие активировать многочисленные интерактивные функции для взаимодействия всех членов семьи. При этом встроенный виртуальный помощник Bixby способен различать голоса своих владельцев и подстраивать интерфейс под запросы конкретного человека.
Непосредственно с интерактивной панели холодильников Family Hub 3.0 можно управлять автоматизированным домашним хозяйством, поддерживающем универсальный IoT-протокол (Интернет вещей). Не отвлекаясь от готовки, хозяйка может запустить стиральную или посудомоечную машину, робот-пылесос, проследить на экране холодильника что делает малыш в детской, ход приготовления пищи в упомянутой выше печи Double Cook Flex™ или дистанционно открыть дверь пришедшему почтальону. Кроме того, ещё проще стало совершать онлайн-покупки в торговых сетях, имеющих партнёрские отношения с Samsung. Достаточно отдать голосовую команду Bixby и подтвердить сделанный заказ персональным кодом. Разумеется, сохранены уже имевшиеся функции серии Family Hub, например, ретрансляция телепрограмм на экран холодильника и подключение к музыкальным потоковым онлайн-сервисам.
Кроме указанных выше продуктов высоких технологий, Samsung также продемонстрировал новые модели посудомоечных машин, варочных панелей, кухонных плит и климатической техники.
Кроме того, Samsung впервые представил линейку элитных кухонь Modernist Collection от легендарного американского брэнда Dacor, который принадлежит южнокорейскому конгломерату с 2016 года.  
Отметим, что все указанные устройства работают на универсальной операционной системе TIZEN, которая к 2020 году будут устанавливаться практически во все электронные IoT-приборы Samsung.
Выставка EuroCucina 2018 проходила с 17 по 22 апреля. В следующий раз производители бытовой техники представят свои новинки на этом миланском форуме уже в 2020-м.

Samsung is introducing its full built-in product lineup at EuroCucina, and among the range of unparalleled kitchen solutions is the brand new Dual Cook Flex™ oven. Its EU-industry-first innovation “Flexible Door” gives consumers independent access to the upper oven compartment without losing heat and compromising cooking performance in the lower compartment. The upper and lower compartments can even be used as one bigger compartment for large dishes by removing the divider.
Dual Cook Flex™ also makes it easier to prepare multiple dishes using the Dual Cook system. Consumers can set two different temperatures and times for each compartment to achieve the best taste possible during simultaneous cooking. The Dual Cook also prevents odor mixing between compartments, ensuring optimal cooking performance. Enabling consumers to use the upper compartment only, the Dual Cook also enhances energy efficiency by cutting down preheating time and overall energy usage.1

Family Hub™ gives consumers an easy, convenient and harmonized experience for connecting all smart devices in the home, with features like Bixby, Meal Planner, Shopping List, and Recipes that provide real life smart experiences in the kitchen.

Innovative Technology and Flat Design in the Kitchen

At the Samsung booth, visitors will be able to experience and understand the company’s unique kitchen technologies. This includes the WaterWall™ dishwasher that perfectly cleans all dishes from corner to corner, and Virtual Flame™ cook top, which provides the intuitive visual control of flames. Samsung’s Twin Cooling Plus™ technology will be showcased as well, in a transparent display to exhibit how the system controls the refrigerator and freezer independently.
In addition, Samsung’s premium designs will also be on display, including flat design, a minimalist design that seamlessly harmonizes all lines into one and maximizes usability. Samsung also displays its black stainless-steel built-in package and Dacor’s Modernist collection.
To further demonstrate Samsung’s innovative and smart appliances, Samsung will host a launch conference for partners and media on April 18th at the Auditorium of Salone del Mobile and an exclusive Samsung Club des Chefs cooking show the same day, led by Michelin-starred chefs at the Samsung booth in Hall 15. EuroCucina, and its ancillary Technology for the Kitchen Event, runs as part of Salone del Mobile Milano from April 17th to the 22nd.

В конце марта в Сеуле британский танцевальный коллектив Candoco Dance Company под руководством известного южнокорейского хореографа Ойн-Ми Ан (Eun-Me Ahn) представил спектакль «С добрым утром всех». Выступление балета Candoco, в состав труппы которого входят танцоры с ограниченными возможностями, было посвящено теме инклюзивности. Танцоры показали, насколько важно уметь принимать все превратности судьбы и взаимодействовать друг с другом в современном обществе.
Команда инженеров Samsung нашла возможность показать это представление слабовидящим людям с помощью специального приложения Relúmĭno. Благдаря сочетанию ыозможностей VR технологий и приложения Relúmĭno, слабовидящие зрители смогли разглядеть выступления в деталях, увидеть движения и выражения лиц танцоров – для многих зрителей такая возможность представилась впервые. Приложение Relúmĭno, разработанное в стартап-инкубаторе Samsung C-Lab, в сочетании с гарнитурой Gear VR позволяет усилить зрение слабовидящих людей, помогая им преодолевать трудности, с которыми они сталкиваются.

Участвуя в диалоге

Разработчики охотно общались с публикой, стремясь выяснить, что именно чувствуют зрители при взаимодействии с приложением Relúmĭno.
Делясь своими впечатлениями о спектакле, зрители рассказали, что раньше, после просмотра премьеры, им приходилось пересматривать выступления в сети, чтобы разглядеть все нюансы и увидеть ускользнувшие при очном просмотре детали. Теперь, при помощи приложения Relúmĭno, слабовидящие зрители смогли насладиться спектаклем в полной мере.
«Я смогла действительно получить удовольствие от танца, находясь в том же помещении, что и другие зрители, я смогла прочувствовать, что хотели сказать танцоры, именно там и именно тогда», – делится впечатлениями Мин-сол Ким с разработчиком Relúmĭno Юн-Нам Кимом (Yong-Nam Kim). Приложение стало источником мотивации и для Гуй-чёль Шима (Gyu-cheol Shim), который страдает от дистрофии жёлтого пятна, но борется с этим заболеванием, посещая разные визуальные перфомансы.
«Те, кто ежедневно используют устройство в повседневной жизни, делятся с нами множеством идей, – замечает член команды Чэн-вон Ли (Chan-won Lee) –Порой, они используют его так, как мы даже и представить себе не могли».
Например, ранее разработчики общались с корейской пианисткой Юн-су Но (Young-suh Noh), в результате чего была разработана функция, позволившая музыканту быстро переключаться между чтением нот и клавишами фортепиано, значительно ускоряя процесс изучения новых музыкальных произведений.
Обратная связь с пользователями приложения  Relúmĭno вдохновляет команду разработчиков, помогает оценить эффект, который оказывает VR приложение на пользователей и найти новые идеи для развития проекта.

Samsug Relúmĭno Helps People with Low Vision See Dance Performance in a New Light

On a chilly March weekend in Seoul, disabled and non-disabled performers from the U.K’s Candoco Dance Company examined individual struggles and triumphs, and the transformational potential of unity. As they danced onstage, members of the audience were breaking their own barriers and together seeing performance in a new light.
Assisted by Relúmĭno, Samsung’s vision-enhancing app, people with visual impairments were able to see the finer details, taking in the movements and the facial expressions of a live performance, many for the first time.

Art and Technology Striving for Inclusion

As the world becomes increasingly fast-paced, everyone can feel that they are being left behind. The importance of accessibility and inclusion in both the arts and the field of technology has never felt more urgent.
Directed by acclaimed Korean choreographer Eun-Me Ahn, Candoco’s performance tackled the subject of inclusion and accessibility head-on. Dancing together, disabled and non-disabled performers prompted the audience to consider life’s daily ups and downs, and the process of all people – with and without disabilities – finding balance in a complex society.
By its nature, dance is a visual medium of art, limiting access for those with low vision. However, the team behind Relúmĭno saw an opportunity to extend the reach of ‘Good Morning Everybody’ and amplify its message by further increasing accessibility. They invited people with visual impairments from all walks of life to the theater to watch using Relúmĭno.

Joining the Conversation

Even before the curtain rose, as Relúmĭno users tried on the VR headsets and adjusted the fit, excitement was buzzing around what they were about to see.
Anticipating the performance, Do-yeon Kwon, a young movie fan, shyly smiled and said, “I can see when I sit on the front row, but my neck hurts and it’s really uncomfortable. I think ‘Relúmĭno’ could be part of the solution.”
Afterwards, it was clear that the piece had taken on a special meaning for those who viewed it through Relúmĭno.
Min-sol Kim described how, in the past, she would have to re-watch performances online after seeing them live to catch every nuanced movement and subtle expression. After watching ‘Good Morning Everybody’, she expressed her emotions at seeing every detail she wanted to: “Right in the middle, when a dancer in a wheelchair got onto the ground using just his arms and delivered an emotional solo, I cried.”
It was also a source of motivation for Gyu-cheol Shim, who suffers from macular degeneration but is himself overcoming the condition through performance and art.

Learning from the Experiences of Others

The developers were eager to talk to the audience and find out more about their experiences with Relúmĭno. Conversations like these inspire the team, helping them to appreciate the impact that the application has on its users.
“Those who use the device in their everyday lives give us the most ideas,” remarked team member Chan-won Lee. “They use it in ways that we could not even imagine.”
Previously, insights from Young-suh Noh, for example, led to the development of a function which allowed the talented pianist to quickly switch between reading music and looking at the piano keys, greatly improving the speed at which he could read and learn new music.
Likewise, choreographer Ahn expressed her desire that we all learn from the Korea-U.K. collaboration and increase awareness of disability in the arts, saying: “Our collaboration proves that our perceptions are indeed changing.”
The stage is a place which is at once unique for each individual and inclusive of everyone, and where barriers are repeatedly broken. Just as Candoco Dance Company is bringing down the wall between disabilities and art through their performances, ‘Relúmĭno’ hopes to bring down the wall between people with visual impairments and live performance.
