Недавно Samsung представил новую линейку портативных твердотельных накопителей Portable SSD X5, которые рассчитаны на профессиональных пользователей и специалистов в области создания и обработки контента (прежде всего 4K видео).
Новинка использует стандарт NVMe и высокоскоростной интерфейс Thunderbolt 3, который обеспечивает пропускную способность до 40 Гбит/с. Для подключения служит симметричный коннектор USB Type-C, твкже говорится о совместимости с компьютерами под управлением операционных систем Windows и macOS, однако обычные порты USB 3.0/3.1 для работы с накопителем не подходят.
Samsung Portable SSD X5 обеспечивает очень высокие показатели быстродействия. Так, скорость последовательного чтения информации достигает 2800 Мбайт/с. Запись данных в последовательном режиме может осуществляться со скоростью до 2300 Мбайт/с. Такие характеристики достигаются за счёт того, что накопитель основывается на той же платформе, что и актуальные внутренние NVMe SSD корпорации.
Покупатели смогут выбирать между тремя вариантами вместимости — 500Гб, 1Тб и 2Тб. Имеется возможность шифрования информации по алгоритму AES с ключом длиной 256 бит.
Новинка выполнена в прочном металлическом корпусе. Вендор заявляет, что устройство выдерживает падения с высоты до 2 метров. Габариты: 119×62×19,7 мм, вес — 150 граммов.
В России приобрести новинку можно будет по ориентировочной цене 28.000 рублей, 48.000 рублей и 95.000 рублей за версии ёмкостью 500Гб, 1Тб и 2 Тб соответственно. На все указанные изделия предоставляется 3-летняя гарантия.

Samsung Electronics today unveiled its first NVMe™1-based portable solid state drive (SSD) – the Samsung Portable SSD X5 – achieving new levels of performance and reliability for external storage solutions. Based on the cutting-edge Thunderbolt™ 32 technology, the new X5 features exceptional speeds in a compact and durable form factor, making it an ideal portable storage for content creators and IT professionals on the go.

Samsung вновь признан одним из 10-ти лучших работодателей в мире

Проведённое недавно группой Universum исследование показало, что южнокорейский техногигант Samsung снова вошёл в первую десятку наиболее привлекательных работодателей мира. В опросе приняли участие студенты ВУЗов, специализирующихся на инженерных и информационных технологиях. Samsung входит в TOP10 этого рейтинга 3 года подряд. В 2017-м вендр занял 10-е место, а в этом поднялся на одну позицию.
Замыкает десятку лидеров гигант электронной торговли Amazon. Японская Sony в TOP10 не попала, удовлетворившись 11-й позицией. Facebook и Huawei Technologies заняли 23 и 40 места соответственно.
TOP10 самых привлекательных работодателей мира в этом снова возглавила компания Google (с недавних пор подразделение Alphabeth Inc.). Остальные места в первой пятёрке достались Microsoft, Apple, BMW Group и Intel.

Samsung named one of preferred employers for IT majors

Samsung Electronics was named as one of most preferred employers among college students majoring in engineering and information technology, research showed on Oct. 1.
The Korean tech giant was placed ninth in the 2018 World’s Most Attractive Employers survey conducted by human-resources researcher Universum, up one notch from last year.
Samsung was included in the top 10 list for the third consecutive year. 
US online commerce giant Amazon.com followed in 10th place, trailed by Japan’s Sony. Meanwhile, Facebook and Huawei Technologies occupied the 23rd and 40th spots, respectively. 
Google topped the list, followed by Microsoft, Apple, BMW Group, and Intel.

Samsung Electronics представляет Samsung Forward – программу, которая позволяет пользоваться мобильными устройствами Samsung по цене от 3 790 рублей в месяц. Программа действует с 1 октября, в ней участвуют флагманские модели смартфонов Samsung Galaxy Note9 и Galaxy S9/S9+ (1). На сегодняшний день Samsung Forward доступна в Москве, Санкт-Петербурге, Иваново и Мурманске (2).
«Цель Samsung – предложить нашим пользователям инновационные продукты и сервисы, их уникальные сценарии использования, существенно расширяющие возможности клиентов и позволяющие им добиваться большего. Благодаря программе Samsung Forward современные технологии станут доступны ещё большему числу россиян, которые смогут обновлять свои устройства ежегодно», – прокомментировал глава Samsung Mobile в России Дмитрий Гостев.
Отправить заявку на оформление программы можно на сайте Samsung Forward, а также в фирменных магазинах Samsung. Процесс рассмотрения занимает всего минуту. После того, как заявка одобрена, пользователь может получить смартфон в фирменной рознице Samsung, предъявив полученный штрих-код и паспорт. Процесс подписания договора полностью цифровой. Все устройства, участвующие в программе, получают защиту от Samsung по сертификату Smart Care+ с возможностью бесплатной однократной замены разбитого экрана или задней панели в авторизованном сервисном центре Samsung в течение 1 года.
Реализация Samsung Forward осуществляется в партнёрстве с компанией Forward Leasing.

Участник программы может бесплатно заменить смартфон на более новую модель после 12 платежей или сделать это раньше с доплатой 3900 рублей. Остаточную стоимость устройства при этом выплачивать не нужно. При желании клиент может продолжить использование гаджета и после 12 платежей, выкупив его по остаточной стоимости сразу, либо продолжая вносить тот же платёж до погашения суммы выкупной стоимости.
