Samsung официально представил новый планшет топ-уровня Galaxy Tab S4 (2018)

Сегодня на официальном youtube-канале Samsung опубликована видеопрезентация  нового планшета Galaxy Tab S4. 
Информация об этой новинке ранее уже неоднократно появлялась в профильных ресурсах, однако окончательные спецификации и возможности этого девайса были подтверждены в первый день августа 2018.
Практически все надежды, возлагаемые на новый девайс, подтвердились. Здесь вам и поддержка интеллектуального голосового помощника Bixby, и увеличенный объём оперативной (4Гб) и постоянной флэш-памяти, работа с картами microSD повышенной вместимости (до 400Гб), отличный Super AMOLED-дисплей (диагональ 10.5", соотношение сторон 16:10), улучшенные камеры и 4-канальный звуковой тракт от легендарного австрийского брэнда AKG с поддержкой Dolby Atmos, электронное перо S-Pen, работа в формате настольного PC благодаря совместимости с док-станцией, клавиатурой и Bluetooth-"мышкой", порт Type-C USB 3.1 (Gen 1), работа с беспроводными протоколами Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 3.1.
Ёмкость аккумуляторной батареи составляет 7.300мАч, чего хватит для 16-часовой демонстрации видеоконтента. Время на полную подзарядку - не более 200 минут. 
В качестве "двигателя" применён 8-ядерный процессор Qualcomm MSM8998 (2.35GHz + 1.9GHz), а работает девайс на базе операционной системы Android O. Активировать планшет можно с помощью идентификатора лица и анализа радужной оболочки глаз. Если размера экрана планшета владельцу будет недостаточно, гаджет можно подключить к монитору или телевизору через фирменный адаптер Samsung DeX.
В зависимости от модификации и региона продаж Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 может комплектоваться разным объёмом встроенной флэш-памяти и наличием/отсутствием LTE-модуля.

Productivity with Samsung DeX and S Pen

With the Galaxy Tab S4, Samsung is bringing Samsung DeX to the tablet for the first time. When connected to the optional Book Cover Keyboard (sold separately) or launched from the Quick Panel, the Galaxy Tab S4 powers on Samsung DeX, giving users the option to switch from the Android interface to a desktop experience. With Samsung DeX, you can open multiple desktop-style windows for your Android apps, including the Microsoft Office suite, directly on the Galaxy Tab S4, and re-size them when needed. Drag and drop content between apps and use keyboard shortcuts and commands for efficiency.
If more screen is needed, there is also an option to extend Samsung DeX to an external monitor with a compatible HDMI to USB-C multi-port adapter (not included). When connected, the Galaxy Tab S4 can serve as a track pad or a sketch pad, and new this year, the Galaxy Tab S4 can continue to work as a fully functional Android tablet, giving users two screens to accomplish tasks.

Samsung выделит $45 миллионов на автоматизацию малых бизнес-предприятий

31 июля корпорация Samsung Electronics объявила, что пожертвует около 45 миллионов долларов США (50 миллиардов южнокорейских вон) на помощь небольшим фирмам в создании смарт-инфраструктуры в своих производственных центрах.
Техногигант будет выделять ежегодно по 10 миллиардов вон в течение ближайших 5-ти лет для проекта, ориентированного на поиск совместного роста с предприятиями малого и среднего бизнеса.
Пожертвование будет сделано в фонд Korea Smart Factory.
В Samsung заявляют, что хотят поддержать усилия местных компаний по улучшению их производственных возможностей и безопасности труда, независимо от наличия или отсутствия партнёрства с крупнейшим в мире производителем полупроводников и смартфонов.
Корпорация отмечает, что она также выделит отдельно 10 миллиардов вон, чтобы помочь таким предприятиям обучить персонал и найти новые рынки в течение следующих 5-ти лет.

Samsung to fund US$44.70 million to support small biz smart factories

Samsung Electronics said on July 31 it will donate 50 billion won (US$44.70 million) to an industrial foundation to help small firms set up smart-factory infrastructure in their production centers.
The Korean tech giant said through a regulatory filing that its board has decided to provide 10 billion won annually over the next five years for the project aimed at seeking shared growth with small and medium-sized firms.
The donation will be made to the Korea Smart Factory Foundation.
Samsung said it wishes to support local companies’ efforts to improve their production capabilities and safety environment, regardless of their partnership with the world‘s largest producer of semiconductors and smartphones.
The company added it will also allocate a separate 10 billion won to help such businesses educate staff and find new markets for the next five years.

Samsung продолжает удерживать более 90% мирового рынка AMOLED-дисплеев

Аналитическая служба CINNO Research опубликовала данные о мировом распределении рынка AMOLED-дисплеев за первое полугодие 2018.
Абсолютным лидером отрасли остаётся подразделение Samsung Display, принадлежащее электронному подразделению крупнейшего южнокорейского чеболя. За первые 6 месяцев 2018 года южнокорейский вендор выпустил для своих заказчиков 160,9 миллиона панелей, что соответствует доле в 93%.
LG Display и Visionox, выпустившие по 3,5 миллиона панелей, смогли получить лишь по 2% рынка.
Компании Everdisplay (EDO) и BOE выпустили и того меньше - по 1,7 миллиона панелей, то есть около 1%. Компании AU Optronics и Tianma произвели по 0,7 миллиона панелей (0,4% рынка). Замыкает рейтинг Truly с объёмом выпуска 0,4 миллиона штук и долей 0,2%.

Samsung remains the absolute leader in the AMOLED displays world market

Market analysts from CINNO Research estimate that Samsung Display produced 160.9 million AMOLED displays in H1 2018, which sets SDC's market share in the mobile AMOLED market at 93%. The two other large producers are LG Display and Visionox, both producing 3.5 million panels (2% market share).
Both Everdisplay (EDO) and BOE produced 1.7 million panels in the first half of 2018 - or about 1% of the market each. AU Optronics and Tianma produced 0.7 million panels (0.4% market share) and Truly closes the list with a market share of 0.2% (400,000 panels).

Samsung Newsroom Ukraine aims to give the local public a better understanding of the company and its activities. Visitors to the Newsroom will be able to explore domestic and international stories, interviews and infographics. The platform will provide visitors with insights into the company’s operations in the Ukraine, as well as information on citizenship activities in the country.
