Почти сразу после того, как Всемирная организация здравоохранения (ВОЗ) объявила о пандемии коронавируса, в Samsung Electronics объявили о запуске фирменного сервиса Galaxy Sanitizing, который уже действует и в России. Благодаря этому корпорация помогает снизить угрозу распространения вирусов и бактерий.
Запуск программы Galaxy Sanitizing позволит бесплатно продезинфицировать мобильную и носимую электронику Samsung с помощью обработки ультрафиолетом (УФ-C). На дезинфекцию принимаются смартфоны марки Galaxy, часы Galaxy Watch и наушники Galaxy Buds. Корпорация напоминает, что использование абразивных материалов или агрессивных химических веществ могут повредить экран и олеофобное покрытие, поэтому советует владельцам мобильной техники использовать только сертифицированные чистящие средства, если обеззараживание производится в домашних условиях.
Сервис Galaxy Sanitizing доступен через фирменные сервис-центры и официальные магазины. На сегодняшний день он предлагается в 19-ти странах, включая Аргентину, Чили, Хорватию, Данию, Финляндию, Японию, Южную Корею, Малайзию, Новую Зеландию, Норвегию, Пакистан, Перу, Польшу, Испанию, Швецию, Россию, США, Украину и Вьетнам.
Вскоре планируется расширение действия указанной прграммы дезинфекции на Австралию, Австрию, Канаду, Чехию, Францию, Грецию, Гонконг, Болгарию, Индию, Индонезию, Израиль, Италию, Иорданию, Казахстан, Латвию, Мексику, Нидерланды, Панаму, Филиппины, Румынию, Сингапур, Тайвань, Таиланд, ОАЭ и Великобританию.
Samsung’s free Galaxy Sanitizing Service will clean your phone with the help of UV light
COVID-19 (the 2019 novel coronavirus) has quickly come into focus and taken over our daily lives. It has been officially declared a pandemic by the WHO, and people are doing everything they can to slow the spread of the virus. Washing your hands is one of the most important things you can do, but clean hands don’t matter if you’re constantly touching a germy phone. That’s why Samsung is now offering a free “Galaxy Sanitizing Service” to clean phones with UV light.
The Galaxy Sanitizing Service is being offered at official Samsung Service Centers and Samsung Experience Stores in select countries. Samsung is using UV-C light to clean the devices of bacteria, germs, and viruses. This is a much better option than wiping phones down with cleaning agents that can deteriorate the materials. PhoneSoap is a company that offers something similar for in-home use (it’s possible Samsung is using these very same devices).
The Galaxy Sanitizing Service is currently available in Argentina, Chile, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, Poland, Russia, Spain, Sweden, the United States, Ukraine, and Vietnam. It will soon be expanded to Australia, Austria, Canada, Czechia, France, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Panama, the Philippines, Romania, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.
It’s really cool of Samsung to offer something like this. Even without a pandemic going on around us, phones are known to be covered in germs. We constantly touch these devices and then our faces, but our phones aren’t as easy to clean as most objects we own. Stay clean and stay safe.
