Samsung, Micron, and Hynix Accused of DRAM Price Fixing
Law firm Hagens Berman has filed a class action lawsuit against Samsung, Micron, and Hynix in the US District Court for the Northern District of California. According to the firm's investigation, the three DRAM manufacturers conspired to limit the supply of DRAM chips between 2016 and 2017 with the purpose of inflating their prices. The firm affirmed that DRAM saw a 47 percent increase in price during 2017, which made it the largest jump ever in the last 30 years. As noted by the filing, Samsung, Micron and Hynix collectively own 96 percent of the worldwide DRAM market as of 2017. The "conduct changed abruptly" when the Chinese government launched an investigation to look into the matter. This class action is opened to consumers in the U.S. who've purchased a device that uses DRAM between July 1, 2016 and February 1, 2018.

На учебном видео для менеджеров шоурумов Samsung рассказывается о главных особенностях Galaxy A6, таких, как работа с несколькими приложениями или возможность наложения AR-стикеров и съёмки сэлфи с включённой вспышкой. В ролике указано, что у смартфона имеется 16-мегапиксельная основная камера со светосильным объективом f/1,7 и фронтальная камера такого же разрешения, но с диафрагмой f/1,9.
Также подтвердилась информация, что Galaxy A6 получил 5,6-дюймовый Super AMOLED-дисплей с соотношением сторон 18,5:9.
Чуть позже в Сеть попали спецификации (см. таблицу вверху) с индонезийского сайта Samsung, из которых стало понятно, что гаджеты обладают почти флагманскими характеристиками, предлагая стереозвук Dolby Atmos и виртуальный помощник Bixby. На борту имеется 8-ядерный процессор (пока неясно какой именно), а старшая модель может похвастаться наличием двойной камеры с возможностью запуска эффекта боке (размытие фона), большим количество ОЗУ (4Гб), более ёмким аккумулятором и поддержкой MicroSD-карт объёмом до 400Гб! Кроме того, аппараты снабжены системой идентификации владельца, подобно последним флагманским моделям.
Новые смартфоны Galaxy A6 и Galaxy A6 Plus будут доступны на рынках некоторых стран уже в ближайшие 2-3 недели.
Samsung Galaxy A6 & A6+ coming soon
Samsung Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ have been regulars on leaks and they have been coming in torrents these few days. The models are yet to go official but some of the leaked details have been official ones. Right now, Samsung Indonesia website has gone live with the Galaxy A6 and A6+ with all the details you would like to find out about the models listed.
According to the specs sheet on the website, the new Galaxy A6 and A6+ feature 18.5:9 AMOLED “Infinity” displays, fingerprint sensors, unnamed 8-core SoCs, and front-facing camera flash. The bigger A6+ even has a dual-camera setup for parallax-based bokeh, and both cameras sport 16MP f/1.7 primary shooters. Prices and dates for availability are still unknown, though.
On the design aspect, both phones are a bit different and this is not just about the screen size difference. The larger A6+ steps things up in pretty much every regard, with a higher-resolution and higher PPI screen, more RAM, a bigger battery, faster clock speed, and dual-camera configuration. The smaller and lower-spec’ed A6 will almost certainly cost a less to make up for it, though. Although both phones list “Bixby” as a feature, they only seem to include Bixby Vision, Bixby Home and not Bixby Reminder.
In addition, the sound and speakers on both phones have ostensibly been tuned by Dolby with its Atmos “immersive sound experience,” and they feature Samsung’s face recognition in addition to the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, but neither device has any water or dust resistance.
With the deluge of details featured o the website, all that is left is for us to know the prices and launch date. However, since Samsung has pushed this out officially, we are certain its launch is close by.
