Samsung опровергает слухи о намерении приобрести подразделение Nokia Digital Health для расширения своего портфеля услуг в области цифровой медицины.
Информацию о заинтересованности южнокорейского техногиганта в покупке Nokia Digital распространила французская газета Le Monde. Согласно этому сообщению, Samsung является одним из 4-х претендентов наряду с двумя французскими компаниями и американской Google.
Однако официальный представитель Samsung опроверг эти слухи, сказав, что в корпорации об этом "даже не слышали".
Samsung уже имеет соглашение с голландским концерном Philips о совместной разработке подключённых устройств с использованием технологий обоих партнёров. Согласно этой сделке, пользователи устройств на iOS и Android смогут подключаться к платформе Philips HealthSuite Digital посредством IoT-решений Samsung на базе микрокомпьютеров серии ARTIK и операционной системы TIZEN.
Цифровой сектор здравоохранения рассматривается как новый перспективный бизнес, который включает в себя носимые устройства для мониторинга физического состояния, а также товары и услуги "домашней медицины".
Продукты Nokia Health включают в себя устройства, отслеживающие активность и датчики сна. Но компания ещё не достигла первоначально поставленных целей. Финны столкнулись с финансовыми проблемами после того, как в октябре прошлого года это подразделение понесло убытки в размере 164-х миллионов долларов США.   

Samsung Not Interested in Nokia's Health Unit

Samsung Electronics denied a report that the Korean tech giant may be interested in buying Nokia Health to expand its healthcare portfolio. 
French newspaper Le Monde on Thursday reported that Samsung was considered to be one of the four bidders for Nokia's healthcare unit. The other three included Google's smart home division Nest, and the other two were French companies, according to the newspaper.
However, a Samsung official rejected the rumor, saying "we have not heard about it."
Samsung has already an agreement with the Dutch firm Philips to develop connected devices using one another's technologies. According to the deal, users of Samsung's internet of things (IoT) platform ARTIK will be able connect to the Philips' HealthSuite Digital platform.
The digital healthcare sector has been regarded as a newly emerging business, which includes wearable medical devices and home healthcare products / services.
Nokia Health's products include a body scale, activity trackers and sleep sensors. But the company has failed to meet original targets so far. The Finish company is facing financial problems following last October's write down of $164 million on its digital health business.

Конгломерат Samsung и компания Royal Phillips объявили о запуске совместного проекта в области здравоохранения. Результатом этого стратегического партнёрства должно стать повышение эффективности лечения и простота мониторинга состяния здоровья.
В Samsung поведали о своих планах в недавнем пресс-релизе. В частности, планируется подключение вычислительной платформы Samsung ARTIK Smart IoT к цифровой платформе Philips HealthSuite. Основная идея заключается в том, что инженеры обеих компаний должны организовать взаимодействие двух сервисов. Интеграция данных, хранящихся в HealthSuite и данных, получаемых через сервисы Samsung SmartThings Cloud позволит упростить предоставление услуг системы цифрового здравоохранения, повысит скорость и расширит возможности сервиса. Также появятся новые приложения для мониторинга состояния здоровья, используемых на объединённой платформе.
Новые разработки позволят совместному проекту Samsung/Philips стать огромным «облачным» хранилищем информации в области здравоохранения, которая всегда находится в доступе и, среди прочего, открывает путь к возможностям развёртывания систем удалённой диагностики.
Кроме того, разработчики смогут использовать данные из разных источников и продуктов IoT, таких как QualcommLife, Validic и собственная платформа HealthSuite IoT от Philips, основанная на IoT Amazon Web Services IoT. Кроме того, устройства, использующие защищённые системы Samsung-Art-on-Modules (SOM), также смогут интегрироваться с цифровой платформой HealthSuite.
Главное, на что обращено внимание в заявлении компаний: пользователям должен быть доступ к «облачному» хранилищу Phillips посредством вычислительной платформы Samsung, что, в итоге, повысит качество медицинского обслуживания.
