В международной прессе уже давно ходят упорные слухи, что первый массовый аппарат с гибким дисплеем выпустит именно корпорация Samsung. Поэтому неудивительно, что время от времени на просторах Сети появляются вбросы о готовящихся к выпуску флагманах, радикально отличающихся от общей массы конкурентов.
На днях появилась очередная информация о якобы готовящемся к вупуску "рулонном" смартфоне, получившем рабочее название Papyrus ("Свиток").
Портал xyzarena.com уже "раздобыл" технические характеристики гаджета, причём даже "установил", на какой операционной системе он будет работать (в статье указано на Android 7.1.1 Nougat), а ёмкость аккумулятора должна быть просто фантастической - аж 6000mAh.
Однако мы бы восприняли приведённые данные с известной долей скептицизма, ибо подобные концепты появляются с регулярной частотой уже несколько последних лет.
Samsung Galaxy Papyrus (It's Fake News?)
After the success of Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung has started working a new concept smartphone, which will be named as Samsung Galaxy Papyrus (codename). This phone will be very unique in terms of design and features. It has vertical scrolling with an OLED infinity display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Galaxy Papyrus carries a unique display with futuristic features and design. It is expected that the phone will be launched in the second quarter of 2018. The phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset which will also be equipped with upcoming Galaxy S9. It is expected that Papyrus will be released in the next quarter from the launch of Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus.
As of now, the detailed specifications of the phone are not known, but it is expected to come with a huge 6000mAh battery which will be non-removable. No wonder that it will be a dual SIM phone with 3G and 4G support with VoLTE. It will have a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac.
Early rumors report that it will have a 5.8 inch OLED infinity display with quad-HD resolution. It will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS with an optimized version of TouchWiz over the top. There are no words about the camera numbers, but it might come with 16MP primary camera accompanied with an 8MP front camera.
It will be exciting to see the detailed specs of Samsung Galaxy Papyrus in coming months, as Samsung always tries to surprise their customers as well their competitors. With an increasing share of Samsung in the mobile market, it is very important for the leading company to disclose something new to its customer to continue to sit in the top position.
