HW-Q950T – это устройство, которое воплощает лучшие аудиоинновации для домашнего использования. Отмеченная премией CES 2020 Innovation Award, модель обладает 9.1.4-канальным звуком – это максимальное число каналов, которое доступно для современных домашних кинотеатров в одном устройстве. HW-Q950T оснащена двумя беспроводными задними динамиками, а также динамиками, расширяющими звуковое поле слева и справа, в дополнение к 7.1.4-канальной системе. Samsung Introduces New Premium Soundbar Line-up

The CES 2020 Innovation Award honoree HW-Q950T soundbar is packed with
the ultimate in-home audio innovation

Samsung Electronics has rounded out its full 2020 Q-series soundbar line-up with the release of two new premium models including HW-Q950T and HW-Q900T.
The HW-Q950T delivers the audio quality of 9.1.4-channel, the maximum number of channels for currently available home-theater systems in a single soundbar. The model packs in extra-powerful sound with two wireless rear up-firing speakers and also adds left and right wide channel speakers to the previous 7.1.4-channel system, allowing the audio output to express the motion on the screen in a more realistic way with greater immersion.
Both the HW-Q950T and HW-Q900T support Dolby Atmos® – which transports listeners with immersive, moving audio that flows all around you, along with DTS:X from DTS for multi-dimensional audio technology. They also include eARC support to produce full, rich and high-quality surround sound like Dolby TrueHD.
Consumers can further enhance the immersive experience by connecting the soundbars to Samsung’s 2020 QLED TVs. Q-symphony activates and plays surround sound from both the TV and soundbar, creating incredible audio synergy with compatible TVs.
Improvements have also been made to the product design, on the top of the advancements in overall functionality. Compared to 2019 soundbar models, Samsung reduced the height of both of models to 69.5mm from 83mm to fit perfectly with the TV. The soundbars are also wrapped in Kvadrat textile, adding premium elegance while maximizing sound penetration.
“In collaboration with Audio Lab in the US, we have been able to develop multi-dimensional surround sound that can be more accessible at home, which was previously only possible with a separate home-theater system,” said Seong Cho, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Product Marketing of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “In addition to improving sound quality, we also focused on fine-tuning the soundbar’s design aesthetic by using eco-friendly textiles, made by Danish premium brand Kvadrat.”
The two new models also feature SmartThings App and Alexa voice service, allowing users to command their favorite music streaming services, like Amazon Music, Spotify, TuneIn, and iHeart Radio.(1)
Music lovers can also now enjoy their favorite music with a simple tap. The Tap Sound feature allows the music from your smartphone to be sent directly to the soundbar.
All Samsung soundbars are tuned at the Samsung Audio Lab in Valencia, California.

Технология Object Tracking Sound: когда звук следует за объектом на экране

С технологией Object Tracking Sound+ звук перемещается по экрану, следуя за объектом в каждой сцене. Например, если на большом экране QLED 8K телевизора 2020 года транслируется боевик со сценой автомобильной погони, напряжение этой сцены ощущается ещё более реальным, независимо от того, из какой точки комнаты пользователь смотрит фильм.
Реализовать эту технологию удалось за счёт оптимального размещения динамиков. В отличие от обычных телевизоров (которые имеют по два динамика), модели QLED 8K оснащены 6-ю динамиками(2), которые расположены по всему экрану и обеспечивают более полное звучание. Более того, в новых устройствах установлено 2 динамика с левой и правой стороны задней панели устройства для получения объёмного звучания.
В телевизорах с обычным дизайном, в которых динамики располагаются только в нижней части устройства, увеличение размера экрана приводит к большему количеству акустических «слепых зон» между точками излучения звука. Например, когда в фильме вертолёт пролетает в верхней левой части экрана, звук всё-равно будет исходить снизу, что приводит к диссонансу между визуальными элементами контента и его звуковым сопровождением.
В сравнении с двухканальным звуком, где динамики располагаются только с левой и правой сторон телевизора, многоканальный звук, как в кинотеатрах, вызывает ощущение реалистичности.
В новых моделях динамики размещаются сзади экрана – так же, как и в кинотеатрах. Это означает, что при перемещении объекта на экране звук будет воспроизводить тот динамик, который расположен прямо за этим объектом, в результате чего звуковое сопровождение будет соответствовать изображению на экране.
Для воссоздания той же динамической реалистичности, что и на экранах кинотеатров, технология Samsung OTS использует все 6 динамиков со всех сторон QLED 8K телевизора, в результате чего звуковое сопровождение полностью совпадает с тем, что происходит на экране, отслеживая перемещения объектов в режиме реального времени.
В OTS также реализована технология 3D-рендеринга, которая автоматически распознаёт жанр контента и соответствующим образом оптимизирует звуковую дорожку. Любой тип звука, в том числе стерео и многоканальный 5.1, будет оптимизирован как объёмный 3D-звук. Благодаря инновационной технологии пользователям не нужно сидеть непосредственно спереди от экрана, чтобы в полной мере воспринять, например, звук пролетающего вертолёта.

AVA: активный усилитель речи и интеллектуальная система обнаружения шума

Технология Active Voice Amplifier (AVA-Активный усилитель речи) позволяет оптимизировать звук в режиме реального времени.  Она распознаёт внешние источники шума и увеличивает громкость голоса на экране, если окружающие шумы становятся слишком громкими. Например, если во время просмотра фильма пользователь включает пылесос, устройство автоматически поднимает громкость диалоговой звуковой дорожки, чтобы было понятно содержание происходящего на экране.
Эта инновация не только помогает не пропустить важный диалог, но и тщательно анализирует условия окружающего пространства – комнаты, в которой установлен телевизор. Благодаря звуковому датчику в нижней части посередине экрана технология AVA позволяет встроенному Quantum Processor менять регулировки звука на выходе при обнаружении непрерывного шума в окружающем пространстве, если его уровень выше громкости устройства и длится более 3 секунд.
Звуковой сенсор телевизора анализирует сигнал из звуковой дорожки и фоновый звук из окружающего пространства. Затем искусственный интеллект сравнивает уровни громкости этих сигналов. Если внешний звук оказывается громче, чем звуковое сопровождение, то алгоритм избирательно повышает только громкость голоса в звуковой дорожке. При этом он держит громкость остального звука на прежнем уровне, чтобы пользователи могли чётко слышать каждое сказанное слово.
Благодаря технологии AVA пользователям больше не придётся спешно искать пульт, когда уровень окружающего шума по каким-то причинам внезапно возрастает, и требуется повысить громкость телевизора. Поскольку AVA является единственной существующей телевизионной технологией, позволяющей отслеживать и усиливать одну лишь голосовую составляющую звуковой дорожки, пользователям не придется мириться со слишком громким звуком всего трэка, как в обычных телевизорах, когда нужно увеличивать громкость из-за шумного окружения. Кроме того, можно с лёгкостью включить или отключить автоматическую настройку звука AVA в меню настроек.
Все эти аудиоинновации, позволяющие реализовать динамический звук в QLED 8K-моделях 2020 года, избавляют от неудобств, связанных с настройкой звука телевизора. Технологии Samsung OTS и AVA обеспечивают интеллектуальное трёхмерное звучание.

Experience True Audio Immersion with the Innovative Sound Technologies of Samsung’s 2020 QLED 8K Range

With the emergence of high definition and large-screen TVs that offer spectacular visuals, user attention has been turning to the importance of sound quality, the finishing touch to providing the most immersive home entertainment experience possible.
In developing its 2020 QLED 8K TVs, Samsung Electronics implemented artificial intelligence (AI) so that users are able to enjoy a truly powerful large-screen TV experience. The 2020 QLED 8K range features technology that configures content audio to follow the movement of objects on screen and will also change depending on obstructions or distractions it senses around the product. These features further maximize audible immersion sound when paired with the HQ-Q800T soundbar – winner of the CTA’s “Best of Innovation” Award. The QLED TV’s speakers sync with the soundbar, allowing it to serve as an additional audio channel and create a more dynamic soundscape.

Object Tracking Sound: Reading the Room for More Realistic Audio Experiences

Say you are enjoying an action movie with a dynamic car chase. As the car moves from left to right and top to bottom on-screen, with a 2020 QLED 8K TV, the tension of the scene seems even more real, regardless of where in the room you are watching from.
The secret to this dynamic and realistic sound experience is Samsung’s Object Tracking Sound (OTS) technology, realized through the optimized speaker placement of the QLED 8K range. Unlike conventional TVs, which feature two speakers, the QLED 8K has six speakers1 positioned all around the screen for a more vivid audio experience. The QLED 8K even has two speakers on the left- and right-hand side of the back of the device for a surround sound experience that fills up any room.
On TVs with a conventional design, which normally feature speakers only on the bottom of the device, an increase in screen size will lead to more audio blind spots between the points of sound emission. For example, if a helicopter is flying on the upper left-hand side of the screen, the sound would still be being emitted from the bottom of the screen, resulting in a dissonance between the content’s visuals and its audio.
Compared with two-channel sound that features speakers only on the left- and right-hand sides of a TV, multi-channel speakers, as found in movie theaters, deliver a more refined sense of realism. The optimum placement for speakers is on the backside of a screen, just as it is in movie theaters, meaning that when an object on-screen moves, a speaker right behind that object can produce sound to match the visual. In order to recreate this dynamic realism achieved by movie theater screens, Samsung’s OTS technology harnesses all six speakers on all sides of the QLED 8K TV in order to have a video’s audio follow the on-screen action in real time.
OTS also features 3D rendering technology, which automatically recognizes a content’s genre and optimizes the sound tracks accordingly. This means that any type of sound, including stereo and 5.1 channel, will be optimized as 3D multi-channel sound. Whereas with conventional TVs, users would need to sit front-on to the screen to best enjoy the sound of a helicopter in flight in a movie or TV show, with a QLED 8K TV, users can experience the sound of the helicopter moving and rising over the TV even while sitting at a side angle from the screen.

AVA: Intelligent Noise Detection to Enhance Voice Clarity

The living room is the heart of the home, and often, the soundtrack to a movie or TV show is not the only source of noise to be found in this busy family space. However, there is nothing more frustrating than having a crucial scene in a TV show be overpowered by ambient noise.
This is why Samsung’s Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) technology was developed for QLED 8K TVs. AVA technology recognizes exterior noise sources and increases the volume of the voices on-screen if the surrounding conditions become too loud. For example, if there is a vacuum running while the TV is playing, the TV will automatically amplify the audio track to ensure viewers can hear everything that is going on.
Not only does this technology help ensure users never miss a piece of dialogue, it does so intelligently by meticulously analyzing the space within which the TV has been placed. Through a sound sensor on the bottom middle of the TV, AVA technology will allow its quantum processor to adjust the sound output when it detects a continuous noise from the surrounding environment that is louder than the TV and lasts for more than 3 seconds.
The TV’s sound sensor takes in and monitors audio from the content onscreen as well as the ambient audio from its surrounding environment. AI technology then compares the volume levels of the two types of sound, and if external sounds are found to be louder than that of the TV’s content, it will selectively raise just the voice audio track from the content being watched to ensure users can clearly hear every word being said.
Thanks to AVA technology, users no longer need to scramble for the remote when ambient noise suddenly gets too loud to adjust the TV’s volume. Furthermore, as the only existing TV technology to extract and amplify just the voice audio track of a piece of content, users do not have to put up with a boisterous sound experience when looking to increase a TV’s volume due to a loud surrounding environment. Users can also easily toggle the automatic audio adjusting of AVA on or off in the TV’s settings menu.
The sound innovations that come together to make up the 2020 QLED 8K’s dynamic audio experience take the inconvenience of adjusting TV audio out of users’ hands. Users can enjoy intelligent, 3D surround sound thanks to Samsung’s OTS and AVA technologies. На днях Samsung объявил о запуске в продажу новой линейки звуковых панелей 2020 года в Южной Корее. Ранее эти модели были представлены на январской выставке CES 2020, которая проходила в Лас-Вегасе (США).

В числе новинок - премиальный саундбар Samsung HQ-Q800T. Этот продукт оснащается запатентованной технологией Samsung «Acoustic Beam», которая позваляет точнее локализовать звук при воспроизведении объёмной аудиосцены многоканальных саундтрэков и поддерживает такие актуальные форматы как Dolby Atmos и DTS: X (Digital Theater Systems: X). Таким образом, используя схему вывода звуковых каналов 3.1.2, звуковая панель, согласно официальному пресс-релизу, обеспечивает идеальное 3D-звучание даже при воспроизведении стандартной двухканальной фонограммы.

Кроме того, благодаря поддержке технологии eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel), саундбар имеет широкую полосу пропускания передачи данных. Как было сказано выше, звуковая панель Samsung HW-Q800T официально поступила в продажу в Южной Корее. Цена премиальной модели составляет 900.000 вон (примерно 730 долларов США). Однако чуть позже появится и более  простая модификация HW-S600T, стоимость которой пока ещё не объявлена.

Samsung HW-Q800T premium soundbar launched in South Korea

Samsung released the new lineup of soundbars for the year 2020 in South Korea. The soundbars were previously unveiled at the CES 2020 that took place in Las Vegas at the beginning of the year.

The lineup includes the new Samsung HQ-Q800T soundbar. This product comes with Samsung’s proprietary patented “Acoustic Beam” technology; which adds directionality to sound and supports Dolby Atmos and DTS: X (Digital Theater Systems: X) to bring 3.1.2 channels and provide a “perfect” 3D stereo sound.

In addition, since it supports eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel), it also has a wide data transmission bandwidth. Which means it does not need to compress the digital audio signal coming from the TV and will reproduce as high quality sound as possible. According to the brand, the HW-Q800T has also been precisely tuned by sound experts from Samsung Audio Labs located in the United States using some very advanced techniques.

Another interesting feature on the soundbar is “Q-Symphony”. This feature will produce richer surround sound and provide a more immersive audio experience by using the TV speakers in conjunction with a soundbar to produce the optimal sound. This special feature granted the brand a CTA “Best of Innovation Award” at CES 2020. Beware Q-Symphony only works with Samsung QLED TV (2020) though.

Finally, as we previously mentioned, the Samsung HW-Q800T soundbar is now officially on sale in South Korea. The price for the more premium model is 900,000 Won, which is around 730 dollars. The Korean giant did not release any info regarding the HW-S600T smaller model though; so we may have to wait a little longer for that.

Samsung Continues to Hold Number One Position in Global Soundbar Market

Just as Samsung TVs have ranked number one globally for 14 consecutive years,1 the company’s soundbars also hold the number one position in the global soundbar market. Samsung has held the number one spot in the global soundbar industry ever since international research firm Futuresource Consulting started officially recording in 2014. According to Futuresource, Samsung ranks number one in sales revenue, maintains 21,8% of the global market share, and accounted for 16,5% of the industry sales volume in 2019.
All Samsung soundbars and audio technology are tuned at the Samsung Audio Lab in Valencia, California, just outside of Los Angeles. Thanks to continuous efforts from the Samsung Audio Lab, the ‘Q series’, a part of its 2019 premium soundbar lineup, boasts high quality sound for which it garnered positive reviews from key tech media in the U.S. and Europe.
“It is rewarding to see that our competitiveness in the audio market over the last several years has culminated in this result,” said Seong Cho, Senior Vice President and Head of Global Product Marketing of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “We will ensure Samsung remains an industry leader in both the global TV and soundbar market for years to come.”

This technology received the CES 2020 Best of Innovation award, and is standardized across the entire range of Samsung’s soundbars (above Q60T) and some QLED models (above Q80T).
