Samsung официально представил на китайском рынке новый мобильный гаджет Galaxy C8. Это третий смартфон Samsung с двойной камерой. Первым стал флагманский Galaxy Note 8, а несколько дней назад дебютировал Galaxy J7+ среднего уровня.
Смартфон получил металлический корпус, сканер отпечатков пальцев в домашней кнопке, функцию Always On Display (постоянно выведенная на экран информация о времени, погоде, получении сообщений) и приложение Bixby Home.
Аппарат оснащается 5,5-дюймовым Super AMOLED-дисплеем (Full HD / 1920х1080 пикселей), 16-Мп фронтальной камерой со вспышкой и двойной основной камерой 13+5 Мп. Аппаратной основой стал 8-ядерный процессор MediaTek Helio P20, 3 или 4Гб ОЗУ и 32 или 64Гб встроенной флэш-памяти с возможностью расширения карточками microSD объёмом до 256Гб.
Ёмкость аккумулятора составляет 3000 мАч. В смартфоне предустановлена операционная система Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Поддерживаются две SIM-карты, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11), Bluetooth 4.2 и GPS. Размеры составляют 152,4x74.7x7,9 мм, а вес - 180 граммов.

Samsung Galaxy C8 Is Official With Dual Rear Cameras

Samsung Electronics on Thursday officially announced the Galaxy C8, the latest addition to its mid-range smartphone family and yet another one of its handsets with a dual camera setup after the Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy J7+. The latter model is essentially the one that the South Korean original equipment manufacturer (OEM) also unveiled today, save for a new name and some minor differences. The handset is powered by the MediaTek Helio P20 system-on-chip (SoC) and comes in two variants, with the more affordable one having 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal flash memory, whereas the other model ships with 64GB of storage space and 4GB of RAM. The rear side of the Galaxy C8 houses a dual camera setup entailing a 13-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel module, with the two being arranged in a vertical manner and accompanied by a dual-LED (dual tone) flash unit beneath them.
The handset itself features a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display panel with a Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) resolution and a conventional aspect ratio of 16:9. Beneath its surface is a 3,000mAh battery which doesn’t seem to be removable, with the Galaxy C8’s hardware also coming with support for 4G LTE, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.2. The dual-SIM smartphone is equipped with a USB Type-C port and compatible with MediaTek’s proprietary Pump Express 3.0 fast charging technology. The Galaxy C8 runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, with this particular version of Google’s operating system being modified with Samsung’s mobile software suite which the company is nowadays advertising as the Samsung Experience. Bixby is apparently part of the package here, meaning that Samsung’s artificial intelligence (AI) assistant is now finally available in China after being delayed on several occasions. However, unlike the Galaxy S8 lineup and the recently announced Galaxy Note 8, the Galaxy C8 doesn’t seem to be equipped with a physical Bixby key for activating Samsung’s digital companion.
The Seoul-based consumer electronics manufacturer has yet to reveal pricing and availability details on the Galaxy C8 in China, though the device is likely to start at around 2,000 yen, or $307. The company has been struggling to make an impact in the Far Eastern country in recent years and it remains to be seen whether the Galaxy C8 ends up being the device that will finally help it bounce back and regain some of the market share it lost to local OEMs.

В комплекте к столь солидному смартфону прилагаются беспроводные наушники, доступ к VIP-сервису Samsung и внешний аккумулятор ёмкостью 10.000 мАч.
Смартфон фигурирует под несколькими маркировками: Samsung World Leading Flagship 8, G9298, Leader 8, Leadership 8, Beyond the World 8 и Lingshiqijian 8 (перевести послледнее иероглифическое название весьма затруднительно). Аппарат оснащён двумя 4,2" Full HD-дисплеями, чипсетом Snapdragon 820, 4 ГБ ОЗУ, 64 ГБ ПЗУ, 12-Мп Dual Pixel-камерой и аккумулятором на 2300 мАч.
До конца года Samsung представит ещё более мощную люксовую раскладушку – W2018 на базе Snapdragon 835. О вероятной цене пока умолчим. Впрочем, для "статусных" китайцев такая цена помехой быть не должна, а скорее наоборот.

Samsung внезапно рассекретил новую «раскладушку»

В Сеть случайно попало руководство по эксплуатации нового раскладного смартфона Samsung с маркировкой SM-G9298, который ещё только готовится к анонсу.
Как следует из описания, появившегося на официальном сайте Samsung China, «раскладушка» получит два одинаковых AMOLED-дисплея с обеих сторон верхней половинки корпуса: диагональ 4,2 дюйма, разрешение 1920 х 1080 пикселей. Новинка получит 4-ядерный процессор Snapdragon 821, 4Гб ОЗУ и 64Гб постоянной памяти. При этом имеется возможность расширить память с помощью сменных карт microSD объёмом до 256Гб.
Размеры аппарата составят 128 х 61 х 16 миллиметров. Смартфон также получит аккумулятор ёмкостью 2300 мА·ч с возможностью беспроводной зарядки, графический ускоритель Adreno 530 и модем X12 LTE. В нижней половинке корпуса будут размещены две камеры разрешением 12Мп у основной и 5 Мп — у фронтальной. В качестве операционной системы фигурирует Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow).
«Раскладушка» оснащена сканером отпечатков пальцев и датчиком сердечного ритма, а также чипом NFC. Масса смартфона - 234 грамма.
Samsung SM-G9298 уже получил официальные сертификаты FCC и Wi-Fi Alliance, что указывает на высокую степень готовности к массовому запуску. Новинка должна появиться в продаже под названием Samsung Galaxy Folder 3.

Samsung’s SM-G9298 Flip Phone Manual Is Now Available Online

The manual for the Samsung SM-G9298 – a new flip phone from Samsung which makes use of two displays – is now available to download directly from Samsung. Although the manual is now available to download, it is worth noting that the manual is currently only available via the Chinese Samsung website and therefore, is currently only available as a Chinese language version. Although the images alone do confirm the inclusion of a number of features including S Voice, Samsung Health, Samsung Pay, wireless charging, and NFC.
However, in spite of this being a device that has yet to be officially launched, it is not one that has gone unnoticed until now. In fact, the Samsung SM-G9298 has been spotted on multiple occasions including passing through the FCC, TENAA, and even in leaked image form. Although the TENAA listing in particular is one which has proved to be informative as it does confirm a number of the specs. As a result and due to the previous leaks, there is very little left to learn about the Samsung SM-G9298, barring when it will actually become available, where it will be available, and of course, for how much. Although, due to the emergence of the manual on the official Samsung site in China, it is clear that it will become available in China, and likely soon.
As per the TENAA listing, the Samsung SM-G9298 is device that comes with not one, but two displays which both measure 4.2-inches and both make use of a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Inside, the Samsung SM-G9298 comes loaded with 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, and is powered by a quad-core processor (clocking at 2.15 GHz). In terms of the cameras, the Samsung SM-G9298 comes loaded with a 12-megapixel rear camera, along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Although it is technically not positioned on the front of the device due to the nature of this being a flip phone – as the user will have to flip the phone open before any self-facing images can be taken. Additional features worth noting include a 2,300 mAh battery, dual-SIM support, 4G LTE support, and Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow).
