IDC: Samsung укрепляет свои позиции на рынке премиальных игровых мониторов

Как сообщает сегодня информационное агентство Yonhap News, южнокорейский техногигант Samsung Electronics по итогам 3-го квартала текущего года поднялся на 4-е место среди мировых поставщиков премиальных игровых мониторов с частотой обновления 100Гц и выше. Таким образом, доля корпорации на глобальном рынке в этом сегменте возросла почти до 10%, согласно подсчётам аналитической службы IDC. За тот же период прошлого года эта цифра равнялась 7,6%.
В период с января по сентябрь 2018-го Samsung отвоевал на родном южнокорейском рынке геймерских дисплеев 38,2%, обойдя соотечественников из LG (24,9%) и американскую Dell (9,8%). В 2017-м ситуация была совсем иной: по итогам года лидировала Dell, контролировавшая 26,4% местного рынка, в то время как у Samsung этот показатель составлял 22,8%.
Отраслевые аналитики говорят, что южнокорейский электронный гигант всё губже проникает на рынок высококачественных продуктов благодаря таким решениям как изогнутый QLED-монитор с частотой развёртки 144Гц. Новинка очень привлекает молодых геймеров, которым нравятся дорогие 3D-игры с высокой степенью детализации.
На сегодняшний день лидером индустрии премиальных игровых мониторов пока остаётся тайваньская Acer, захватившая долю в 24,8%, далее следует AOC International (13,9%) и упомянутая выше Dell (13,8%). Samsung идёт на 4-м месте, как было сказано выше. Однако, если тенденция на вхождение электронного гиганта в сегмент дорогих игровых мониторов продолжится, это может изменить расстановку сил в тройке ведущих игроков.

IDC: Samsung ranks 4th in global market for premium monitors in Q3

Samsung Electronics Co. took up nearly 10 percent of the world's market for premium gaming monitors in the third quarter to become the No. 4 player in the sector, data showed Tuesday.
According to the data compiled by industry tracker IDC, Samsung Electronics accounted for 9,7% of the world's market for gaming monitors in the July-September period that come with refresh rates of 100Hz and higher.
A higher refresh rate leads to more frames per second, providing a smoother gaming experience.
Taiwan's Acer Inc. topped the list at 24,8%, followed by AOC International with 13,8%. U.S.-based Dell ranked third with a market share of 11,2%.
Samsung Electronics stood in sixth place with a share of 7,6% in the third quarter of 2017.
Industry watchers said Samsung's growth was led by the increased sales of curved monitors.
The South Korean tech giant has been penetrating deeper into the market with high-end products, including the 144Hz curved monitor, attracting younger consumers that enjoy high-quality games.
Samsung garnered a share of 38,2% in the South Korean market for gaming monitors in the January-September period, trailed by its smaller local rival LG Electronics Inc. with 24,9%. Dell accounted for 9,8% over the period here.
Samsung took up 22,8% of the market to fall behind Dell's 26,4% for all of 2017.

Накануне старта крупнейшей в Европе выставки потребительской электроники IFA 2018 Samsung анонсировал монитор CJ79 (модель C34J791), который уже доступен для заказа в целом ряде стран континента.
Монитор оснащён изогнутым (1500R) 34-дюймовым экарном с разрешением 3440×1440 пикселей и соотношением сторон 21:9.
Особенность новинки заключается в наличии двух интерфейсов Thunderbolt 3 на основе разъёма USB Type-C, которые обеспечивают пропускную способность до 40 Гбит/с. Реализована технология AMD FreeSync, обеспечивающая синхронизацию частоты смены кадров между графической картой и монитором: это повышает плавность игрового процесса.
Дисплей у Samsung CJ79 выполнен по технологии квантовых точек (QLED). Заявлен 125-процентный охват цветового пространства sRGB. Время отклика матрицы составляет 4 мс (GTG).
Яркость составляет 300 кд/м2, контрастность - 3000:1, углы обзора по горизонтали и вертикали составляют 178 градусов, а частота обновления в 100Гц. В наличии интерфейсы HDMI и DisplayPort, 2 разъёма USB 3.0 и 7-ваттные стереофонические динамики. Подставка позволяет регулировать угол наклона дисплея и изменять его высоту по отношению к поверхности стола.

Working on Multiple Projects Simultaneously

The CJ79 offers a clear and crisp picture quality while providing a seamless dual monitor experience on a single screen. The 3440×1440 ultra-wide curved display with its 21:9 aspect ratio provides all users with the workspace needed to multi-task efficiently and in comfort. With the Picture-by-Picture (PBP) feature, professionals can display two sources and for optimal multi-tasking, the Picture-in-Picture (PIP) feature allows users to resize the second source to up to 25 percent of the screen and position it anywhere for a more readable format.

Through a single Thunderbolt 3 cable, CJ791 users can link and dock their monitor and laptop without extensive wiring.
