Samsung демонстрирует роботизированную бытовую технику на выставке KBIS 2019 в Лас-Вегасе

Samsung Electronics внедряет элементы роботизации в своём новейшем семействе бытовой техники премиум-класса. Передовые новинки южнокорейского гиганта, одна из которых - робот-манипулятор, способный облегчить процесс готовки, можно увидеть на отраслевой выставке Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS 2019), проходящей в Лас-Вегасе с 19 по 21 февраля, сообщает южнокорейский бизнес-портал Pulse.
KBIS - крупнейшее в Северной Америке мероприятие индустрии оборудования для кухонь и ванных комнат с участием порядка 600 компаний, на котором побывают свыше 80.000 посетителей.
Южнокорейский техногигант в своём фирменном павильоне Samsung Technology Showcase демонстрирует новую серию роботизированных устройств Samsung Bot, дебют которых состоялся на январской выставке CES 2019.
Среди новинок - робот-помощник для кухни Samsung Bot Chef, выполненный в виде манипулятора. По задумке разработчиков, он должен стать "третьей рукой" на кухне. Среди функций робота - нарезка мяса, смешивание ингредиентов и добавление в блюда приправ в соответствии с загруженным в память рецептом.
Также полезным помощником по дому может стать робот-пылесос Samsung Bot Clean. Оснащённый сенсорной технологией LiDAR и элементами искусственного интеллекта, робот может не только очистить пол, но и проинформировать хозяина, на каком этапе проходит уборка.
Кроме того, в рамках линейки Samsung Bot вендор предлагает роботизированный холодильник Chef Garden, в котором предусмотрен отдел с автоматическим поддержанием оптимальной температуры, уровня влажности и освещения для выращивания зелени, систему кондиционирования Samsung Bot Air, контролирующую качество воздуха в доме. Ещё одна новинка - Samsung GEMS (Gait Enhancing and Motivating System) - система мотивации и улучшения походки, помогающая людям с травмами или нарушениями в работе опорно-двигательного аппарата.
Также на KBIS 2019 Samsung демонстрирует новые стиральные машины WF6300R и WA5400R с фронтальной и горизонтальной загрузкой, которые имеют широкие интерактивные возможности благодаря встроенному IoT-модулю. Подготовка и процесс стирки предельно автоматизированы, а контролировать процесс помогает усовершенствованная система дистанционного управления с помощью голосовых команд, которые можно отдавать через смарт-часы, смартофны или телевизор. При этом на дисплеи выводится исчерпывающая информация о типе белья, стирального порошка, кондиционера, температурного режима и т.д.  
Кроме того, на стендах представлена элитная кухонная техника легендарного американского брэнда Dacor, который с 2016 года принадлежит Samsung Electronics. После того, как Dacor получил доступ к огромному патентному портфелю Samsung, партнёры совместно разработали новые уникальные продукты для самых взыскательных и обеспеченных клиентов.

Samsung highlights its connected living appliances for every kitchen need – now available in incredible new designs

Samsung Electronics today announced that it will showcase its 2019 Home Appliance Innovations at the 2019 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas, NV.
Samsung changed the look of the kitchen when it introduced Black Stainless Steel, offering consumers a new stainless with cool tones and a sleek, modern look that quickly became the design trend of the modern kitchen. This year Samsung introduces the new neutral for 2019 – Tuscan Stainless. Inspired by warm, earthy tones, it combines a variety of natural hues for a warm grayish-bronze hue that blends seamlessly with any kitchen environment. Tuscan Stainless will be available across refrigerator, dishwasher, cooking and microwave oven models starting in May. A new Family Hub Refrigerator model in this new color will be available in August.
When it comes to laundry, no longer is the laundry room just a utility space, but a room where designers and homeowners carefully consider color, décor and functionality. Keeping with the warmer tones utilized by designers today, the new washers and dryers will be available in a stunning new champagne finish that turns the mundane laundry room into a space as beautiful and functional as the kitchen.

With Wi-Fi connectivity and new washing technology, Samsung’s new WF6300R Front Load Washer takes the guesswork out of laundry and delivers a more powerful and faster wash. Cleaning a full load in as little as 30 minutes, these new washers free up more time for consumers to focus on things that matter most to them. Wi-Fi capability allows for simple, laundry planning on the go – whether it’s turning on your washer from a mobile device outside of the home, setting up the washer so it completes its cycle just as you return home—or getting Laundry suggestions for specific garments, these new washers turn Wi-Fi connectivity into seamless simplicity.
The new Samsung WA5400R Top Load Washer utilizes a new drum design where the total vertical depth is shallower and the width is increased, so it’s easier to reach into the washer, without sacrificing capacity. The “Active Water Jet” feature allows users to pre-treat and hand wash right inside the machine. Users can even add water for larger loads at the push of a button.
In addition to the new Tuscan Stainless suite of appliances and new laundry innovations, Samsung’s luxury built-in Chef Collection will also be on display at the show and includes many of Samsung’s most advanced technologies. New to the Collection is the Chef Collection 36” Pro Range (NY36R9966). The Pro Range features cast iron grates, which go from edge to edge, and includes two brass burners. It has illuminated knobs in which distinctive blue lights are a unique touch to show that it is on. The Pro Range can also be paired with the new 36” Chef Collection hood (NK36R9600), which is Bluetooth enabled and automatically turns on the fan and adjusts its speed based on the heat coming from the cook surface. Its 22k BTU Dual Brass Power Burners offer intense heat and more precise control, for either a quick boil of water or a slow melt of chocolate. The 36″ Pro Ranges has capacity ranging from 5.9-6.3 cu. ft., both accommodating a commercial size cookie sheet.
All of these exciting product innovations will be on display at the Samsung Booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Samsung Electronics adds robotic helpers in premium home appliance line

Samsung Electronics Co. has added robotic help in its latest premium line of home appliances and will showcase the new fleet of helping hands in cleaning and cooking at the 2019 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas running Feb 19-21. 
The Korean electronics giant said Tuesday it has opened Samsung Technology Showcase in Las Vegas where visitors to 2019 KBIS trade event can check out the latest addition to its Samsung Bot robot series premiered at CES 2019 last month. The KBIS is North America’s largest trade event for kitchen and bath industry that boasts nearly 600 business participants and over 80,000 visitors from all around the world. 
The new Samsung Bot products range from a robotic arm for cooking to a robot for growing vegetable and monitoring air quality at home.
The robotic arm for cooking, labeled Samsung Bot Chef is designed to lend an extra hand when cooking. It can perform a variety of functions from cutting meat to stirring ingredients and adding seasonings based on uploaded recipe for a dish. 
Samsung Bot Clean is a vacuum cleaner robot equipped with artificial intelligence-based sensing technology LiDAR that not only cleans floor but also informs about cleaning status. 
The tech company also unveiled Chef Garden refrigerator that automatically adjusts temperature, humidity level and lighting to the most optimum point to grow herbs like basil and small vegetables such as arugula inside the refrigerator. 
Also at the Samsung Technology Showcase, the company exhibited Samsung Bot Air for monitoring and controlling air quality at home as well as Gait Enhancing and Motivating System, wearable robot suit for people with a walking disability.

Samsung Electronics ускоряет разработку нескольких типов роботов, которые поддерживают различные задачи на базе фирменной платформы искусственного интеллекта, сообщается в официальном пресс-релизе южнокорейского техногиганта, опубликованном 9 января.
Во время глобальной конференции, состоявшейся в Mandalay Bay Hotel В Лас-Вегасе, за день до открытия выставки Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2019), Samsung впервые представил 3 вида роботов на основе искусственного интеллекта под брэндом Samsung Bot и 3 роботизированных эксзосклета, применяемых в реалибитационных целях, например для восстановления двигательной активности пациентов или поддержки пожилых людей. 
Samsung предложил заглянуть в «будущее роботизированной жизни», продемонстрировав последние наработки в области робототехники.
В ходе демонстрации журналистам были показаны 3 версии искусственного интеллекта Samsung Bot, которые предоставляют услуги по уходу за пациентами клиник и пожилыми людьми, услуги по очистке воздуха в домах, а также обслуживанию клиентов в магазинах и точках общепита. 
На Samsung Bot Care возложена задача по сбору медицинской информации и работе жизненно важных органов пациента, включая замер артериального давления, частоты сердечных сокращений, качества дыхания и сна, а также отслеживание графика приёма лекарств. 
Если пользователь случайно падает или сталкивается с чрезвычайной ситуацией, такой как сердечный приступ, робот может оперативно вызвать скорую помощь и предупредить членов семьи, при условии, что в его память будут предварительно занесены контактные телефоны или другие способы связи. 
Samsung Bot Air, оснащённый технологиями определения локализации и картирования помещений, способен распознавать загрязнённые участки в доме и поддерживать чистоту воздуха путём его фильтрации. 
Samsung Bot Retail - самый "рослый" из 3-х роботов, - оснащён большим дисплеем и занимается обслуживанием покупателей. Он может выполнять роль официанта в кафе или продавца в магазине, принимая и развозя заказы, а также способен принимать оплату посредством мобильных кошельков типа Samsung Pay. Кроме того, робот может предоставить речевую и визуальную информацию о продукте и магазине, выводя данные на экран. 
Проектирование этих интеллектуальных девайсов возглавляет Samsung Research, центр исследований и разработок южнокорейского техногиганта. 
В выставочном зале корпорации на CES 2019, занимающем самую большую площадь, также представлен GEMS, интеллектуальный экзоскелет для реабилитационных процедур, который был разработан Институтом перспективных исследований Samsung.  
Samsung GEMS помогает людям, испытывающим трудности при ходьбе из-за ослабленных мышц, заболеваний или травм. Это значительно облегчает жизнь таким пациентам и не требует постоянного ухода за ними со стороны родственников или медицинского персонала. Такие изобретения весьма актуальны для стран с быстро стареющим населением, где одиноких пожилых людей становится всё больше и у социальных служб не хватает соответствующих работников по уходу за пенсионерами с различными недугами. 
В настоящее время институт разрабатывает 3 типа GEMS для людей с повреждениями бёдер, голени и лодыжек. 
«Samsung продолжит внедрять новые категории роботов, которые будут предлагать потребителям качественно новый образ жизни», - говорится в сообщении корпорации. 
Ким Хёнсук, президент и генеральный директор подразделения потребительской электроники в Samsung, сказал: «2019-й год - 50-летний юбилей Samsung Electronics, и в течение последних 5-ти десятилетий мы стремимся донести значимые для людей всего мира инновации. В 2019-м году мы выходим на новый уровень и используем лидерство в отрасли, чтобы воплотить в жизнь наше видение жизни, дополненной полезными техническими устройствами». 
До последнего времени в Samsung отказывалась официально подтверждать, что разрабатывают роботов. Но конкурирующая LG Electronics объявила в прошлом году, что сосредоточится на разработке роботов в качестве одного из новых быстрорастущих направлений с целью выведения этого бизнеса на коммерчески прибыльный уровень в течение 3-х лет. LG продемонстрировала 5 видов роботов CLOi, включая самого популярного робота-гида в аэропорту, который также демонстрируется на стенде корпорации в конференц-центре Лас-Вегаса. 
В этом году LG представила носимый "комбинезон", который помогает работникам перемещать тяжёлые предметы на больших складах. 
«Научно-исследовательский институт Samsung давно изучает робототехнику», - сказал в интервью бизнес-порталу The Investor неназванный отраслевой представитель. «LG объявила об инвестициях в коммерческую робототехнику раньше, чем это сделал Samsung, но если последний также примет решение о вхождении в этот бизнес, то довольно быстро сможет перейти к коммерциализации своих разработок» - добавил он.

CES 2019: Samsung speeding up development of AI-powered robots

Samsung Electronics is accelerating the development of multiple types of robots that support various tasks, powered by the company’s artificial intelligence platform, according to the company on Jan. 9.
During a global conference held at Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, a day before the opening of the Consumer Electronics Show 2019, Samsung unveiled for the first time three kinds of AI-based robots branded as Samsung Bot, and three other wearable robots - known as gait-enhancing and motivating systems - for supporting rehabilitation treatments.
Samsung offered a peek into the “future of connected living” by demonstrating latest developments in the robotics platforms.
There were three versions of the AI-based Samsung Bot that provide care services for senior citizens; air quality management services for homes; and customer service at retailers.
Samsung Bot Care takes care of a user’s health information, or vitals, including blood pressure, heartbeat, breathing and sleep quality, and keeps track of the user’s medication schedule.
If the user accidentally falls down or faces an emergency situation, such as a heart attack, the robot is able to call an ambulance and alert family members.
Samsung Bot Air, equipped with simultaneous localization and mapping technologies, is capable of sensing contaminated areas in a house and keeping the air clean.
Samsung Bot Retail - the tallest one among the three with a display - supports taking orders, serving customers and making payments at shops. It can also provide product and shop information on the screen.
The development of the AI-based robots is spearheaded by Samsung Research, the control tower of the tech giant’s research and development of AI.
At the company’s exhibition hall at the CES 2019, Samsung also showcased GEMS, a wearable robot for rehabilitation treatments, which has been confidentially developed by the Samsung Advanced Research Institute.
Samsung GEMS helps users with difficulties in walking, due to weakened muscles, diseases or injuries. It assists them in walking more easily with less stress to the muscles.
The institute is currently developing three types of GEMS for the hips, knees and ankles.
“Samsung will continue introducing new categories of robots that will offer new lifestyles for consumers, reflecting social needs to improve the quality of life,” it said.
Kim Hyun-suk, president and CEO of the consumer electronics division at Samsung, said, “2019 is Samsung Electronics 50th anniversary, and for the last five decades, we’ve been committed to bringing meaningful innovations to consumers everywhere.
“In 2019, we’re taking things to the next level, and leveraging our industry leadership to make our vision of connected living a reality.”
Samsung had, up until now, refused to confirm that it is developing robots. However, LG announced last year that it would focus on robot development as one of the new growth businesses, with an aim to make profits from robots in three years.
LG exhibited its five kinds of CLOi robots, including the most popularized guide robot at the airport, at its booth at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
LG, this year, came up with a new wearable suitbot that helps workers unload or load heavy objects from high shelves.
“Samsung’s R&D Institute has long been studying robotics,” an industry official said. “LG announced earlier than Samsung that it is investing in robotics to commercialize, but if Samsung makes the decision, it could move faster toward commercialization soon.”
