Старшая дочь основателя Samsung Group Ли Ин Хи скончалась в возрасте 90 лет

Как сообщает южнокорейское информационное агентство Yonhap News, 30 января скончалась старшая дочь основателя Samsung Group Ли Ин Хи. При этом агентство ссылается на представителя главы крупнейшего южнокорейского чеболя (семейного бизнеса) Ли Гон Хи.
Согласно новостному агентству, 90-летняя женщина умерла в больнице Samsung Medical Center, расположенной в Сеуле.
Ли Ин Хи родилась в 1929 году в семье основателя Samsung Ли Бён Чхоля в провинции Кёнсан — Намдо и была старшим ребёнком среди 10 детей (4 мальчиков и 6 девочек).
В 1979 году она была постоянным членом правления Hotel Shilla, в 1983 — консультантом компании JEONJU PAPER, после чего в 1991 году создала компанию Hansol Group, которая отделилась от материнской Samsung Group и стала независимой.

Samsung founder’s eldest daughter dies at 90

Lee In-hee, an adviser to Hansol Group and the eldest daughter of Samsung Group founder Lee Byung-chull, died of an illness Wednesday. She was 90. 
Born in 1929, Lee was the eldest daughter of Lee Byung-chull, who has three sons and five daughters. 
Her younger brothers are Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-hee, late CJ Group Honorary Chairman Lee Maeng-hee, who died in 2015, and late Saehan Media Chairman Lee Chang-hee, who died in 1991.
Lee joined Hotel Shilla in 1979 as a permanent executive, which marked the beginning of her career in managing the family-run businesses. 
She became an adviser to the former Hansol Paper in 1983 and spun off the company from Samsung Group in 1991. It has since grown to become Hansol Group, which now runs businesses ranging from industrial paper manufacturing, home interior materials, IT solutions and logistics. 
Lee had prioritized familial bonds. In 2012, when Lee Maeng-hee and Lee Kun-hee were embroiled in a legal dispute over inheritance, their eldest sister played a mediator role, saying, “It is not desirable to see such a dispute among the brothers.” 
Lee Myung-hee, chairman of Shinsegae Group and a younger sister of Lee In-hee, was the first among the Lee family to visit the funeral parlor. 
Hwang Gak-gyu, vice chairman of Lotte Group, visited to pay respects on behalf of Lotte Chairman Shin Dong-bin. CJ Group Vice Chairman Park Keun-hee, Hyundai Group Chairman Hyun Jeong-eun and Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry Chairman Park Yong-maan also visited.

19 ноября конгломерат Samsung Group отметил 31-ю годовщину со дня смерти своего основателя Ли Бён-чоля.
Ли, который в 1938-м году основал Samsung как транспортную компанию по перевозке коммерческих грузов, ставшую предшественницей крупнейшего конгломерата Кореи, скончался в 1987-м. В течение первых 20-ти лет с момента его смерти мемориальная служба проводилась совместно семьёй и близкими родственниками, в которую вошли владельцы крупных конгломератов Кореи CJ Group, Shinsegae Group и Hansol Group. Однако позже некоторые из этих компаний стали проводить отдельные мемориальные собрания.
CJ, в частности, начали проводить свою собственную церемонию памяти с 2012 года после того, как её почетный председатель и старший сын основателя Samsung Group Ли Мэн-хи подал иск против своего брата и председателя Samsung Ли Кун-хи, требуя акций дочерних компаний Samsung Group, унаследованных от покойного основателя. 
В этом году Samsung и CJ также провели отдельные памятные мероприятия. 
«Заместитель председателя Samsung Electronics Ли Джей-ён и члены его семьи посетили семейное кладбище на прошлой неделе», - сказал представитель электронного гиганта бизнес-порталу The Investor. 
К Ли-младшему присоединились его мать (экс-директор арт-галереи Samsung) и две сестры, которые в настоящее время возглавляют другие подразделения Samsung Group, а именно отель Shilla и Samsung C&T. 
Председатель Samsung Ли Кун-хи, который был прикован к постели с 2014 года после сердечного приступа, отсутствовал на службе. 
Его сын, Ли Джей-ён, пропускал мемориальную службу в прошлые два года из-за  судебных разбирательств о его предполагаемой причастности к коррупционному скандалу, связанному с администрацией экс-президента Южной Кореи Пак Кын-хи. Ли-младший провёл за решёткой около года, но в феврале был освобождён до окончания судебных тяжб. 
С другой стороны, председатель CJ Group Ли Джей-хён, сын Ли Мэн-хи, принял участие в поминальной службе, которая состоялась утром 19 ноября.
В общей сложности около 50 руководителей высшего звена компаний Samsung Group приняли участие в церемонии. 
Отдельные мемориальные службы в честь основателя Samsung прошли днём на семейном кладбище.

Samsung family cherishes memory of late founder

Samsung Group commemorated the 31st anniversary of the death of Lee Byung-chul, founder of Korea’s largest conglomerate on Nov. 19.
Lee, who established trucking business Samsung Trading, forerunner of Korea’s largest conglomerate, in 1938, passed away in 1987. For the first two decades since his death, the memorial service was held jointly by the family and close relatives, which include the owners of Korea’s large conglomerates CJ Group, Shinsegae Group and Hansol Group. Some of the companies, however, have started holding separate memorial services in recent years.
CJ, in particular, started hosting its own memorial ceremony since 2012 after its honorary chairman and Samsung Group founder’s eldest son Lee Maeng-hee filed a lawsuit against his brother and Samsung Chairman Le Kun-hee, demanding shares of Samsung Group affiliates inherited from the late founder.
Samsung and CJ also held separate memorial services this year.
“Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong and his family members visited the family cemetery last week,” an official from the company told The Investor. 
He was joined by his mother and former Leeum Samsung Museum of Art Director Hong Ra-hee and his two sisters, Boo-jin and Seo-hyun, who are presidents of Hotel Shilla and Samsung C&T, respectively.
The Samsung chairman, who has been bedridden since 2014 after a heart attack, was absent at the service. 
His son, Jae-yong has skipped the memorial service in the past two years due to his alleged involvement in an influence-peddling scandal surrounding the now-impeached President Park Geun-hye and her confidante Choi Soon-sil. He was behind bars for around a year on bribery charges and was released in February this year on a suspended term.
CJ Chairman Lee Jae-hyun, son of Maeng-hee, on the other hand, took part in the service held in the morning on Nov. 19. 
Some 50 top executives of Samsung Group affiliates, including Lee Soo-bin of Samsung Life Insurance, Yoon Boo-keun of Samsung Electronics, and Lee Sang-hoon, chairman of Samsung Electronics’ board of directors, participated in the ceremony.
Separate memorial services for the late Samsung founder are scheduled to be held by Shinsegae and Hansol in the afternoon at the family cemetery.
