Samsung Electronics получил премию «Партнёр года по устойчивому развитию» за вклад в программу ENERGY STAR Агентства по охране окружающей среды США (Environmental Protection Agency, EPA). Награда присуждается компаниям и организациям-партнёрам EPA, демонстрирующим превосходное лидерство, инновации и приверженность защите окружающей среды благодаря повышению энергоэффективности и соблюдению стандартов ENERGY STAR.
Samsung уже в 12-й раз получает звание Партнёра года, и в 7-й раз – премию «Превосходное устойчивое развитие» за экологический подход в производстве энергосберегающих устройств и технологий, а также распространение информации о важности экономии энергии.

По состоянию на конец 2019 года 33 продукта Samsung получили оценку «максимальная энергоэффективность» от EPA. С учётом экономии, достигнутой благодаря сертификации ENERGY STAR, использование продукции Samsung помогло сократить выбросы CO2 примерно до 243 миллионов тонн с 2009 года.
В 2016-м году Samsung также получил награду ENERGY STAR Emerging Technology за инновационные охладительные системы, а в 2013-м стал лауреатом этой премии за усовершенствованные сушильные машины для белья.
Премия «Партнёр года по устойчивому развитию» – высшая награда, присуждаемая компаниям в рамках инициативы ENERGY STAR. В число победителей входят как небольшие семейные предприятия, так и организации из списка Fortune 500, представляющие энергоэффективные продукты, услуги и недвижимость в коммерческом, промышленном и государственном секторах.

Samsung Earns EPA’s Highest Honor in ENERGY STAR Program
Achievement highlights Samsung’s commitment to protecting the environment through energy efficiency
Samsung Electronics America is proud to announce it has received the 2020 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Sustained Excellence Award for continued leadership and superior contributions to the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ENERGY STAR program. The award recognizes EPA partner businesses and organizations in good standing that demonstrate superior leadership, innovation, and commitment to environmental protection through energy efficiency and ENERGY STAR.
This is Samsung’s 12th Partner of the Year recognition and 7th time achieving the Sustained Excellence Award for its environmental stewardship exhibited through producing energy-efficient appliances and technology as well as for engaging customers, employees and students about the value of environmental protection and energy savings. For Samsung, ENERGY STAR is also a symbol of economic development and investment in the U.S. manufacturing base. At the state-of-the-art facility in Newberry, SC, every washer produced is ENERGY STAR-certified. This includes innovative front load and top load machines that not only save energy but deliver time savings, increased capacity, stronger cleaning performance and stylish design.

As of 2019, 33 of Samsung’s products were designated by the EPA as Most Efficient. Including savings driven by ENERGY STAR certification, overall product efficiency improvements have helped our customers avoid an estimated 243 million tons of CO2 emissions through the use of Samsung products since 2009.
In 2016, Samsung also won the ENERGY STAR Emerging Technology Award for Innovative Refrigerant Systems and in 2013, Samsung won the ENERGY STAR Emerging Technology Award for Advanced Clothes Dryers.

The highest honor among ENERGY STAR awards is the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year—Sustained Excellence Award. EPA presents the Sustained Excellence Award to partners that have already received ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year recognition for a minimum of two consecutive years and have gone above and beyond the criteria needed to qualify for recognition. Winners hail from small, family-owned businesses to Fortune 500 organizations—representing energy-efficient products, services, new homes, and buildings in the commercial, industrial, and public sectors.
