IFA 2017: Samsung показал новые SSD с USB Type-C объёмом от 250Гб до 2Тб

На завершившейся вчера берлинской выставке IFA 2017 южнокорейский техногигант Samsung показал компактные твердотельные накопители серии T5. Устройства поступят в продажу в октябре.
Внешние накопители выполнены с применением 64-слойных микрочипов флэш-памяти 3D V-NAND. Для подключения к компьютеру используется интерфейс USB 3.1 Type-C, что позволяет достигать скорости передачи данных до 540 Мб/с. Samsung T5 выпускаются в объёмах 250Гб - 2Тб. Производитель заявил о поддержке шифрования информации по 256-битному алгоритму AES. 
Габариты устройств составляют 74х57.3х10.5 мм, вес — 51 грамм. Накопители обладают противоударной защитой и способны выдержать падение с высоты до 2 метров. Комплект поставки включает кабели USB Type-C — USB Type-C и USB Type-C — USB-A.

Новые внешние SSD-накопители Samsung T5 используют память V-NAND

Каталог Samsung пополнился внешним твердотельным накопителем Portable SSD T5. Новинка базируется на чипах памяти V-NAND и доступна в модификациях объёмом от 250Гб до 2Тб.
Скорость чтения/записи достигает 540 МБ/с. Устройство оснащено интерфейсом USB-C 3.1, а его габариты составляют 74 х 57,3 х 10,5 мм при массе всего 51 г.
Поддерживается шифрование по алгоритму AES с использованием 256-разрядного ключа. Вендор сообщает, что устройство способно без последствий выдержать падение с высоты до 2 метров.
Версии объёмом 250 и 500Гб доступны только в синем цвете, а объёмом 1 и 2ТБ — в чёрном. Стартовая цена за младшую модель составляет 130 долларов.
