Samsung провёл в Индии презентацию нового крупноформатного смартфона Galaxy On Max.
По словам экспертов мобильного рынка, новый гаджет сильно напоминает Galaxy J7 Max. Впрочем, у новинки имеются важные преимущества: добротная 13-мегапиксельная основная камера (F/1.7) и наличие вспышки у 13-Мп фронтальной камеры (F/1.9). Наверняка такая функция придётся по душе любителям сэлфи.
Также в наличии предустановленная система Samsung Pay Mini, которая делает максимально удобным интернет-шопинг.
Кроме того, Galaxy On Max получил солидный металлический корпус и большой Full HD дисплей диагональю 5,7 дюйма. Известно также, что новинка имеет 8-ядерный процессор MediaTek MTK P25, 4Гб ОЗУ, 32Гб флэш-памяти, аккумулятор ёмкостью 3300мА.ч. Ориентировочная цена - $261. Имеется возможность установки 2-х SIM-карт и дополнительной карты памяти формата microSD ёмкостью до 256Гб.
Новый коммуникатор предназначен для индийского рынка, но не исключено, что Samsung Galaxy On Max появится и в других регионах мира.

Представители южнокорейского техногиганта приняли участие в открытии на территории индийского штата Телангана Samsung Digital Academy при поддержке Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) в рамках правительственной инициативы Digital India.
Новое учебное заведение построено в Хайдарабаде и призвано готовить специалистов в области IoT (интернета вещей) с использованием операционной платформы TIZEN.
"Инициатива Samsung и TASK должна помочь индийской молодёжи использовать все преимущества развития цифровых технологий. Обучение программированию для IoT-экоситемы на базе платформы TIZEN позволит подготовит квалифицированные кадры для этой бурно развивающейся отрасли", - сказал главный технический директор научно-исследовательского института Samsung в Бангалоре Алокнат Ди (Aloknath De). Именно в Бангалоре ведутся основные работы по развитию операционной системы TIZEN.
Теланганская академия TASK - это некоммерческая организация, созданная правительством штата для повышения квалификации молодых специалистов, а также создания синергии между правительственными учреждениями, промышленностью и наукой.

Samsung ties-up with Telangana Academy to launch Digital Academy in Hyderabad

Korean manufacturer Samsung has inaugurated Samsung Digital Academy in partnership with Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK), strengthening its commitment towards the Government's Skill India mission and also bolstering Digital India initiative.
Set up in Hyderabad, the academy will train students on Internet of Things (IoT) through TIZEN operating system, helping them learn industry-relevant skills and making them job-ready.
"The collaboration between Samsung and TASK in rolling out this skill initiative will play a key role in helping the government develop sustainable employment options," said Principal Secretary IT and Industries, Govt. of Telangana, Jayesh Ranjan.
Samsung is happy to partner with TASK to create an inclusive environment. This initiative should help young India leverage the growing digital technologies. The training on TIZEN, the OS for IoT, would enable developers to hone their app programming skills and be part of IoT app eco system," said Chief Technology Officer Samsung R&D Institute Bengaluru, Aloknath De.
Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) is a not-for-profit organization established by the Government of Telangana, to enhance skilling for youth in the state and also play a key role in enhancing synergy among institutions of Government, Industry and Academia.

Как ожидается, корпорация Samsung Electronics инвестирует ещё 623 миллиона долларов США в расширение линий по производству смартфонов на одном из своих заводов в Индии. Об этом 4 июня сообщил бизнес-портал The Investor со ссылкой на промышленные источники.
Samsung планирует расширить производство на заводе в городе Нойда (штат Уттар-Прадеш), что находится на севере страны. Сейчас предприятие занимает площадь в 120.000 квадратных метров, а после расширения она составит 240.000, то есть возрастёт вдвое, говорят источники в государственных отраслевых учреждениях Индии.
В случае осуществления этих планов, завод будет способен производить 10 миллионов мобильных трубок ежемесячно. В настоящее время фабрика может выпускать до 5 миллионов гаджетов в месяц.
Эксперты не исключают, что резкое увеличение производства смартфонов в Индии потребуется Samsung для расширения своего влияния как на местном рынке, так и в связи с поставками этой продукции на экспорт.
Ввиду того, что южнокорейский техногигант наметил стратегию развития линейки смартфонов на базе своей операционной системы TIZEN и расширение географии продаж таких аппаратов, нынешней мощности завода в Нойде явно недостаточно. Как было объявлено на майской конференции TDC 2017, проходившей в Сан-Франциско (США), до конца текущего года TIZEN-смартфоны появятся на рынках 50 развивающихся стран. В 2018-м году их число снова существенно возрастёт.
Samsung Electronics в настоящее время владеет двумя заводами на территории Индии. Второе предприятие находится в Ченнаи (Тамил Наду).
Производственная линия в Нойде, открытая в 1997-м году, фокусируется на выпуске мобильных трубок, холодильников и LED-телевизоров, в то время как завод в Ченнае ориентирован на производство стиральных машин, кондиционеров, а также холодильников и LED-телевизоров.

Samsung to invest 700 billion won for Indian plant expansion

Samsung Electronics is expected to make 700 billion won (US$623 million) worth of investment in India to expand the production of smartphones in the country, industry sources said on June 4.
Samsung is planning to expand its existing 120,000-square-meter production line in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, in the northern part of the country, to 240,000 square meters, according to governmental and industry sources in India.
If the expansion is completed, the factory will be capable of producing 10 million units of handsets every month, marking a sharp rise from the current capability of 5 million units. Its monthly production of refrigerator is also set to grow twofold to reach 200,000 units.
The Korean tech giant currently owns two factories in India, with the other being located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
Set up in 1997, the production line in Noida focuses on handsets, refrigerators and LED TVs, while the plant in Chennai makes washers and air conditioners, along with refrigerators and LED TVs as well.
