Samsung готовит к выпуску очередную реинкарнацию смартфонов серии Galaxy A, которые появятся в конце нынешнего или в начале следующего года. На это указывает появление модели Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) в базе данных Федеральной комиссии по свзи США (FCC). Сертификация FCC даёт разрешение на право реализации аппарата в Америке.
Новая модель получила маркирову A530N, о чём свидетельствуют документы FCC, но технические характеристики в них отсутствуют, за исключением того, что устройство работает в двух диапазонах Wi-Fi.
Согласно предварительным данным, смартфон получит дисплей с соотношением сторон 18,5:9, как у флагманских Galaxy S и Galaxy Note. Портал GSMarena сообщает, что дактилоскоп перенесён инженерами Samsung на тыльную сторону аппарата, под основную камеру. Смартфон базируется на SoC Exynos 7885 и оснащён 4Гб ОЗУ.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) swings by FCC ahead of imminent launch

The Galaxy A series typically have their market debut around the turn of the year and the next additions will make no exception. Among intensifying leaks, the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) has gone by the FCC to pick up its US sales license.
The listing didn’t bring us any updates on the specs of the device, which has the model designation A530N, outside of its dual-band Wi-Fi support but that was always an easy guess. It also confirmed that the Galaxy A5 (2018) will have an e-label for its FCC-mandated disclaimers, which should help get rid of a few ugly icons on the back of the phone.
Still, thanks to previous leaks we know the 2018 editions of the A-series handsets will come with taller 18.5:9 ratio displays to catch up to the flagship Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series. They will also feature rear-mounted fingerprint sensors, but they’ll be located under the camera, which seems more convenient than what the more premium series have.
A benchmark listing that surfaced earlier confirmed the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) will be powered by the Exynos 7885 chipset with 4GB of RAM and a 5.5” display of 1080 x 2160 pixel resolution.

8-ядерный чипсет Exynos 7885, скорее всего, будет изготавливаться по 14-нанометровым технологическим нормам подобно предшественнику Exynos 7880. В состав SoC войдут 2 CPU-ядра Cortex-A73 и 6 Cortex-A53. Чип не претендует на флагманские характеристики, но и слабым его назвать нельзя. В любом случае, над SoC Exynos 7880, установленной в Galaxy A5 (2017), новая однокристальная система Samsung будет иметь заметное преимущество.
Ранее Galaxy A5 (2018) был протестирован с чипсетом Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 на борту. Тогда он показался с 4 или 6 Гб ОЗУ, а также ОС Android 7.1.1 Nougat (с возможностью обновления до Android Oreo сразу после старта продаж). Вероятнее всего, модификация Galaxy A5 (2018) с процессором Snapdragon традиционно поступит на рынки США, Японии, Южной Кореи и нескольких других стран, тогда как версию с чипом Exynos можно будет встретить во всех остальных.

We have already started hearing about Samsung's Galaxy A (2018) series smartphones as the South Korean giant seems to be gearing up to launch new devices early next year.
Previously, as per leaked information, it was said that Samsung's Galaxy A (2018) series of smartphones would feature a dedicated Bixby button. It was also made clear that the company's virtual voice assistant would be coming to mid-range smartphones and the new Galaxy A (2018) lineup consisting of A3 (2018), Galaxy A5 (2018), and the Galaxy A7 (2018) would be the first devices to come with such feature. While it is yet to be confirmed, now we have come another yet another interesting development regarding one of the Galaxy A (2018) series handset. Well, the first specification details of the alleged Galaxy A5 (2018) have now surfaced online. A smartphone with model number SM-A530F has just been spotted on Geekbench website and many are touting it to be Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018). Considering it is the said smartphone then it surely does give us an idea of what the Galaxy A5 (2018) specifications will probably be. So going by the Geekbench listing for the Galaxy A5 (2018), it looks like the new smartphone is being powered by Samsung's new Exynos 7885 processor which has also been clocked at 1.59GHz. It looks like the smartphone's processor is paired with 4GB of RAM which is more compared to the Galaxy A5 (2017) variant that came with 3GB RAM. Further, as per the listing, the handset is running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It will be interesting to see whether or not Samsung will launch the smartphone with Android 8.0 Oreo. It has been quite some time since Google made Oreo official. Only time will tell we believe. However, that is pretty much it about the new smartphone. As far as earlier rumors go they have suggested that the future Samsung smartphones will come with infinity display, a fingerprint scanner, and water resistant features as well. The said features might as well make it to the Galaxy A (2018) series.
