Запуск Galaxy M30 в Индии: Samsung идёт в контрнаступление на Xiaomi

Позволив китайцам захватить львиную долю индийского рынка, ориентированного, прежде всего, на бюджетные аппараты, Samsung пошёл в контрнаступление. Не поздно ли?

Сегодня подразделение Samsung Mobile India представило очередную модель смартфона из весьма интересной серии Galaxy M. Этот аппарат должен стать прямым конкурентом Xiaomi Redmi Note 7, который за 210 американских долларов (13.800 рублей по сегодняшнему курсу) предлагает 8-ядерный процессор Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, 6,3-дюймовый ЖК-дисплей с разрешением Full HD+ аккумулятор на 4.000мАч с быстрой зарядкой, коннект USB-C и вход для проводных наушников.
Основная камера Redmi Note 7 - двойная, с 48-Мп матрицей (F/1,8) и вспомогательным 5-Мп датчиком замера глубины сцены. Фронтальная камера имеет разрешение 13Мп. Однако цифра 48 в спецификациях основной камеры Redmi - это обманный маркетинговый ход, поскольку реальное разрешение в 3 раза ниже, а "рекордная" цифра достигается за счёт масштабирования (в реальных условиях съёмки каждый блок из 3-х "маленьких" пикселей работает как 1 "большой" пиксель). Стоит отметить, что эти характеристики актуальны лишь для версии, продающейся в Китае. Международная версия будет куда слабее (меньший объём ОЗУи флэш-памяти, а камеры в ней худшего качества).
В ответ китайцам Samsung Galaxy M30 предлагает пользователям 6,4-дюймовый Super AMOLED-дисплей серии Infinity U с разрешением Full HD+, новый фирменный 8-ядерный процессор Exynos 7904, 16-мегапиксельную сэлфи-камеру (F2.0), тройную основную камеру 13Мп (F1.9) + 5MP (Live Focus) + 5Мп (Ultra-wide lens), аккумулятор ёмкостью 5.000мАч с системой быстрой зарядки, разъём Type-C, сканер отпечаткв пальцев на тыльной стороне и систему разблокировки по лицу владельца Face Unlock. Имеется вход для проводных наушников, FM-радио, поддержка аудиостандарта Dolby Atmos. 
Galaxy M30 будет предлагаться в 2-х версиях с разным объёмом ОЗУ и встроенной флэш-памяти. Младшая модификация комплектуется 4Гб оперативной памяти и 64Гб постоянной, а старшая может похвастаться наличием 6Гб ОЗУ и 128Гб флэш-памяти. В обоих случаях объём накопителя можно расширить сменными картами памяти microSD ёмкостью до 512Гб.
Ориентировочная цена на младшую версию Galaxy M30 заявлена на уровне 210 долларов, а на старшую - $250.
После запуска на индийский рынок ожидается, что Samsung Galaxy M30 появится также в России и ряде других стран.        

Samsung India Launches Galaxy M30 to Give More Power to Millennials

Samsung India announced the launch of Galaxy M30, the latest addition to its Galaxy M line of smartphones that made their global debut in India last month. Galaxy M30, designed for tech savvy millennials, is power-packed with triple rear camera, super AMOLED infinity U display and a 5,000 mAh fast charge battery. The launch of Galaxy M30 comes on the back of an unprecedented consumer response to recently-launched Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M10.

Galaxy M30 sports best-in-class triple camera to address the millennials’ need for capturing important moments on the go. The triple camera set up on Galaxy M30 comprises a 13MP primary rear camera with F1.9 aperture, a 5MP ultra-wide lens for capturing wide frames and a 5MP live focus lens that allows the camera to capture the subject and the background separately to get beautiful shots with the focus on the subject. That’s not all; Galaxy M30 also sports a 16 MP front camera with selfie focus.

Некоторые профильные СМИ утверждают, что новая серия Galaxy M может заменить сразу 3 бюджетных линейки смартфонов Samsung - Galaxy J, Galaxy On и Galaxy C. Однако официально такие слухи никак не подтверждены. Тем более это становится сомнительным на фоне анонса очередного ультрабюджетника на "урезанной" ОС Android Go, а именно Galaxy J4 Core. Этот аппарат, прежде всего, планируется к продаже в Индии, где Samsung ведёт жесточайшую конкурентную борьбу с китайской Xiaomi.
Как и предполагал эксперт блога Samsung World Николай Изнов в одной из наших прошлых бесед, замена TIZEN-смартфонов серии Z на дешёвые "огрызки" с Android Go, не помогло южнокорейскому вендору удержать 1-е место на 2-м по величине мобильном рынке. Китайцы предлагажт тот же самый хлам, как минимум, на 1/3 дешевле, что для Индии, где ещё много откровенно нищих людей, является решающим фактором.
"Вместо того, чтобы совершенствовать свою линейку TIZEN-смартфонов и предлагать её как альтернативу той же Android Go, корейцы почему-то решили, что с продуктом от Google им повезёт больше. Но они ошибаются, так как "королями Android" в бюджетном сегменте уже де-факто стали китайцы. Я в очередной раз повторюсь и скажу, что с Android у Samsung будущего нет. Что же касается Galaxy J4 Core, то этот аппарат получил из коробки ОС Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition), 6-дюймовый TFT дисплей с разрешением 1480х720 пикселей, 1Гб ОЗУ, 16Гб встроенной флэш-памяти и возможность поддержки сменных карт microSD объёмом до 512Гб, 8-ядерный процессор Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 с частотой 1,4 ГГц и камеры с разрешением 5 (сэлфи) и 8 (основная) мегапикселей. В обоих фотомодулях применяются объективы с диафрагмой F/2,2. Встроенных датчиков всего два – акселерометр и приближения. Отсутствуют сенсор освещённости, сканер отпечатков пальцев и NFC. Но Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n и Bluetooth 4.2 ещё не ликвидировали. Габариты: 160,6x76,1x7,9 мм, масса – 177 граммов. Ёмкость аккумулятора - 3300 мА·ч.
Стоимость новинки пока неизвестна, но мы сомневаемся, что Samsung сможет установить её на уровне аналогичных "китайцев". К сожалению, в этом ценовом сегменте магия брэнда почти не действует и вряд ли стоит рассчитывать на большой успех такого устройства. Небогатые люди почти наверняка купят то, что им предложат подешевле. А в Индии, помимо многочисленных "китайцев", есть ещё и собственные производители типа Micromax, готовые продавать нечто подобное буквально за гроши.
Теперь немного о будущих Galaxy M20 и M30. Согласно предварительным утечкам, смартфоны получили заводские маркировки SM-M205F и SM-M305F, которые, соответственно, принадлежат M20 и M30. Чуть ранее на двузначные обозначения уже перешли модели серии A.
Обе недорогие модели будут поддерживать Syal SIM, получат довольно приличные объёмы встроенной флэш-памяти на 32 и 64Гб в случае Galaxy M20, 64 и 128Гб – в M30. Другой информации об этих моделях пока нет.

Samsung is preparing to release the next series of budget smartphones to counter the Chinese

Samsung’s Galaxy J series was first brought to the market back in 2013 and initially began as a higher-end style device with the original Galaxy J having a 1080p display and 3GB of RAM. This idea quickly changed as the Galaxy J1 dropped all the way to 512MB of RAM but was released the year after its predecessor. The series has evolved into a mid-range product line for the South Korean conglomerate and the company has just announced an Android Go version of the device called the Samsung Galaxy J4 Core.
The original Galaxy J4 was launched earlier this year in May, but we have actually focused more on its variant, the Galaxy J4+. The company launched the Galaxy J4+ with its own Infinity Display technology back in September and then we heard rumors about 1st party gradient color cases for it as well. Since then things have been rather quiet in regards to additional Galaxy J4 variants but Samsung has just announced the Galaxy J4 Core with a 6-inch 720p TFT display, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and running the Android Go version of Android 8.1 Oreo.
This is a rather interesting combination of specs for Android Go with the small RAM and storage sizes. However, it is running a quad-core SoC clocked at 1.4GHz (the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425) and has a 3,300mAh capacity battery to keep the thing running. It will be interesting to see how this compares to the other two Galaxy J models that Samsung has manufactured. Pricing and availability is not known at this time, but it will come in Black, Blue, and Gold.

Samsung ‘Galaxy M’ phones incoming, storage options revealed

Samsung developing a new Galaxy M lineup of phones. The Galaxy M series is expected to be a consolidation of all of Samsung’s current budget lineups.
First, let us point out that we do not know the actual names of these devices. Their model numbers – SM-M205F and SM-M305F – and the report from earlier today do offer a hint, though: Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30. Samsung apparently has more such devices in the works, and these double-digit product names are expected to be used for the Galaxy A series as well. However, it’s also possible the model numbers would be different from the phone names, and we will have to wait for more information on these M series phones to build a clearer picture.
32GB and 64GB are the storage options for the SM-M205F. The SM-M305F will be offered in 64GB and 128GB variants. Both these phones will have dual SIM variants, since dual SIM slots are a necessary feature in the budget and lower mid-range segments in many markets, although single SIM models may be released in some countries as well.
