Музей инновационных технологий Samsung (S/I/M) выпустил новую серию видео в рамках виртуальной экскурсии «Эпоха изобретателей».

Видео «Эпоха корпоративных инноваций» рассказывают о достижениях корпораций, которые сделали жизнь лучше, разработав инновационные продукты и технологии.

Первые 3 ролика посвящены полупроводникам и рассказывают об истории возникновения и перспективах развития полупроводниковой промышленности, зарождении этой технологии и о том, как полупроводниковые решения на протяжении многих лет применяются для повышения производительности обработки данных.

Первое видео из серии «Полупроводники» под названием «Больше, быстрее и компактнее: ускорение обработки данных», демонстрирует, как инновации в области транзисторов избавили электронные устройства от больших и тяжёлых электронных ламп и положили начало тенденции на уменьшении размера электроники. Видео также отражает социокультурные и технологические изменения, вызванные появлением транзисторов.

Во втором видео рассказывается, как разработка интегральных схем позволила повысить производительность электронных устройств, а также уменьшить их размеры без ущерба для эффективности работы. Использование микросхем IC, в конечном итоге, привело к созданию и широкому распространению ПК, а также, как только компьютеры начали применяться в бизнес-среде, к существенному повышению эффективности предприятий.

В третьем видео серии, посвящённом компании Samsung Semiconductor, лидирующей в отрасли в эпоху мобильных устройств, рассказывается о том, как полупроводники изменят нашу жизнь в будущем и какие возможности они могут нам дать.

Samsung Innovation Museum Tells the Story of the Semiconductor With Online Tour Videos

Samsung Innovation Museum (S/I/M) has begun unveiling its new series of online tour videos, entitled “The Era of Corporate Innovation”. Available through the Samsung Newsroom YouTube channel and the Samsung Innovation Museum website, the new videos follow on from the “The Era of Inventors” series.

The videos corresponding to “The Era of Corporate Innovation” explore the achievements of corporations that have contributed to the improvement of human life by developing innovative products and technologies. Following the release of the ‘Semiconductor’ videos, other video series will be released under the headings ‘Display’ and ‘Mobile’.

Within each category, a sub-series of short videos presenting interesting stories corresponding to the respective themes will be released. The three semiconductor videos tell the story of both the origin of and the future outlook for the semiconductor industry, walking viewers through the birth of the semiconductor and how semiconductor solutions have been integrated to improve data processing performance over the years.

The first semiconductor video, entitled “More, Faster, and Smaller, The Acceleration of Data Processing”, shows how the innovation of the transistor liberated electronics from their reliance on large, heavy vacuum tubes and sparked the era of miniaturization in electronic devices. The video depicts the socio-cultural changes and technological advances that were brought about by the advent of transistors.

The second video covers how the development of integrated circuits has allowed electronic device performance to be advanced while also allowing the products to be downsized without affecting performance levels. The use of IC chips eventually influenced the development and distribution of PCs, and once computers were introduced in business environments the technology led to immense improvements in business performance.

In the last video of the semiconductor series, we explore the Samsung Semiconductor, which has been a leader in the mobile era, as well as the topic of how semiconductors will enrich our lives in the future. Today, semiconductors are continuing to evolve in order to lead the future of the industry and enable users to live richer lives.

Following the release of the three semiconductor videos, individual videos from S/I/M’s three-video series entitled ‘Display’ and ‘Mobile’ will be released on a sequential basis starting from December 8.

Samsung Electronics представляет серию виртуальных экскурсий по экспозиции «Эпоха изобретателей», представленной в Музее инновационных технологий Samsung (S/I/M). 4 видеоролика об основных инновациях прошлого: «Открытие электричества», «Использование электричества», «История телекоммуникаций» и «Изобретение бытовой техники» – будут представлены на YouTube-канале Samsung Newsroom и на официальном сайте музея.

S/I/M – крупнейший музей Южной Кореи, посвящённый бытовой и профессиональной технике. В нём проходят выставки, рассказывающие об истории электроники, а также о первых учёных и корпорациях, которые способствовали развитию этой сферы. Гости музея также знакомятся с наследием Samsung в области инноваций и узнают о том, как корпорация опиралась на работу своих предшественников, чтобы помочь техническому прогрессу.

Видеоролики продемонстрируют, как инновации в электронной промышленности изменили образ жизни людей и развитие человеческой цивилизации.

Первое видео, «Открытие электричества», посвящено истории человечества и первому документу, в котором упоминалось электричество. Эта запись, созданная в 600-м году до нашей эры, положила начало тому, что, в конечном итоге, стало современной электронной индустрией. Explore the Samsung Innovation Museum’s “The Era of Inventors” Exhibition in Four Parts

Since September 15, Samsung Electronics has been providing people with the opportunity to virtually explore the Samsung Innovation Museum (S/I/M)’s permanent exhibition, “The Era of Inventors”, through a series of online tour videos over four weeks.

“The Era of Inventors” tour series is comprised of four videos that cover the different topics, all relating to how innovation in the electronics industry has reshaped human history, that are showcased in the exhibition. The first video, “Discovery of Electricity”, takes us back in time to the origins of the electronics industry, and the second, “Uses of Electricity”, outlines the ways in which electricity evolved to be used practically to enrich people’s lives.

The third video, “History of Telecommunication”, covers how telecommunication innovations have allowed us to communicate without boundaries, and the fourth video, “History of Home Appliances” captures the development of those domestic appliances that now allow us to keep our homes clean and healthy.

Given S/I/M’s temporary on-site closure due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, viewers have been expressing their gratitude for the online videos as they look to learn more about the electronics and telecommunications industries. “I was able to strengthen my knowledge on the origins of electricity thanks to the detailed explanations and well-organized video clips provided in the virtual tour,” noted one viewer. “I can now say I understand more fully the electricity industry’s role in and contributions to modern society.”

S/I/M will continue to release more online tour videos for interested viewers – a virtual tour of another of S/I/M’s permanent exhibitions, “The Era of Corporate Innovation”, will be released before the end of the year.

All four virtual tour videos of “The Era of Inventors” are still available to watch on the Samsung Innovation Museum website and the Samsung Newsroom YouTube channel.
