TrendForce: Samsung вернёт себе 1-е место на глобальном рынке смартфонов по итогам 1-го квартала 2021

Корпорация Apple традиционно увеличивает объём продаж своих мобильных гаджетов в рождественский сезон и, как правило, вырывается на 1-е место по итогам 4-го квартала. Но это единственный квартал в году, когда американцы могут похвастаться своими показателями. В остальное время на глобальном рынке хозяйничает Samsung, что неизменно выводит его в лидеры продаж по итогам года.

В 4-м квартале 2020 Apple повезло больше обычного, поскольку произошла задержка с выпуском новых iPhone 12 и ожидания покупателей возросли. К тому же это были первые модели Apple с поддержкой технологии 5G. Поэтому неудивительно, что на фоне праздничного ажиотажа американцы бросились в магазины, чтобы обновить своих мобильных помощников.

Как сообщает исследовательская компания TrendForce, особых сюрпризов в расстановке сил не будет и в этом году, за исключением дальнейшего падения китайского брэнда Huawei из-за введённых против него санкций. Однако падающий коммунистический красный флаг уже подхватили соотечественники Huawei в лице Xiaomi и Oppo, которые претендуют в рейтинге 1-го квартала 2021 на 3-е и 4-е места. Samsung, как обычно, вернёт себе лидерство, сместив Apple на 2-ю позицию.

Overall, the global smartphone market is expected to drop 6% in sales due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, with the result that incomes of people in many developing countries are declining markedly. TrendForce: Samsung will regain its 1st place in the global smartphone market in the first quarter of 2021

The Apple corporation traditionally increases the sales of its mobile gadgets during the Christmas season and, as a rule, breaks out to the 1st place at the end of the 4th quarter. But this is the only quarter of the year when Americans can boast of their performance.The rest of the time, Samsung takes the 1st place in the global market, which makes it the absolute leader for the year as a whole.

In Q4 2020, Apple was more fortunate than usual as there was a delay in the release of the new iPhone 12 and customer expectations increased. In addition, these were the first Apple models to support 5G technology. So it comes as no surprise that, amid the festive hype, Americans rushed to stores to update their mobile assistants.  

According to research company TrendForce, there will be no special surprises in the balance of power this year, with the exception of the further fall of the Chinese brand Huawei due to the sanctions imposed against it. However, the falling communist red flag has already been picked up by Huawei's compatriots in the person of Xiaomi and Oppo, who are claiming 3rd and 4th places in the ranking of the 1st quarter of 2021. Samsung, as usual, will regain its leadership, displacing Apple to the 2nd position.

Overall, the global smartphone market is expected to fall 6% in sales due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, as incomes of people in many developing countries are declining markedly. According to TrendForce experts, the total sales of communicators in the first quarter will amount to approximately 342 million units.
