Недавно мы рассказывали, что крупнейшее глобальное мероприятие для игроков мобильной индустрии MWC (Mobile World Congress), которое ежегодно проходит в испанской Барселоне, впервые в его истории будет освещать важнейшие события с помощью интерактивного телеканала, использующего не традиционное вещательное оборудование, а технологии ультраскоростной мобильной связи стандарта 5G.
Интересно, что это осуществлено исключительно на технологической базе южнокорейского электронного гиганта Samsung. Как сообщает американский новостной телеканал CNN, Samsung обладает наибольшим количеством патентов в  сегменте 5G, поэтому способен предоставить организаторам MWC 2019 полный набор приёмо-передающего оборудования с поддержкой прямых трансляций телеканала Mobileworld LIVE в ультравысоком качестве UHD/4K практически без временной задержки. Кроме того, интернет-канал может одновременно поддерживать обратную связь со зрителями или студиями, находящихся в различных точках земного шара, и имеющих мобильные устройства со встроенными 5G-модемами, подключёнными к соответствующей сети.

Live broadcasts from the MWC 2019 are conducted using Samsung 5G hardware

We recently said that the largest global event for mobile industry players MWC (Mobile World Congress), which is held annually in Barcelona, Spain, for the first time in its history, will cover major events using an interactive TV channel using 5G ultra-high-speed mobile communication technologies.
Interestingly, this is carried out exclusively on the technological basis of the South Korean electronic giant Samsung. Первая в истории Всемирного Мобильного Конгресса (Mobile World Congress / MWC) телетрансляция специализированного видеоканала ‘Mobile World Live TV’ будет осуществляться на оборудовании ультраскоростной связи 5G от Samsung Electronics.
Таким образом, в год своего 50-летия южнокорейский гигант в очередной раз продемонстрирует технологическую мощь, показав участникам форума способность осуществлять глобальные проекты опираясь исключительно на собственные силы.
В ходе MWC 2019 в испанской Барселоне медиаканал будет транслироваться в прямом эфире но больших экранах, расположенных по периметру огромного зала Fira Gran Via, а также в лобби и номерах 280 отелей города. Более того, канал будет также транслироваться по всему миру в течение всех 5-ти дней проведения выставки. Медианканал расскажет о всех главных событиях, происходящих в рамках MWC, покажет интервью с лидерами отрасли и, разумеется, продемонстрирует самые свежие технические новинки.
Пробная трансляция с использованием новейшего оборудования 5G включает такие компоненты как устройства радиодоступа (5G Radio), маршрутизавторы 5G  и подключённые к ним по беспроводному каналу камеры ультравысокой чёткости, которые будут установлены в вещательном центре Broadcast Village, Gran Via.
В предыдущие годы трансляции канала осуществлялись посредством оптоволоконного кабеля со стенда Mobile World Live TV. В 2019-м передача сигнала высокой чёткости будет впервые осуществляться "по воздуху" благодаря установке сети 5G от Samsung.
В интервью для официального информационного вэб-сайта южнокорейского вендора, старший вице-президент и руководитель отдела глобальных продаж и маркетинга Samsung G.Y. Seo сказал, что корпорация рада продемонстрировать свои новейшие технологии в действии на самом важном отраслевом мероприятии года.

Samsung Live Broadcasts ‘Mobile World Live TV’ Over Its 5G Network at MWC19 Barcelona

The first live broadcasting of GSMA MWL using Samsung’s 5G solutions showcases a 5G real-world experience for MWC19 Barcelona attendees

Samsung Electronics today announced that it will live broadcast the GSMA’s ‘Mobile World Live TV’, the official media channel of MWC19 Barcelona, using its 5G network. During MWC19 Barcelona, the channel will air live on big screens throughout the Fira Gran Via venue and the lobbies and bedrooms of more than 280 hotels in Barcelona, as well as stream live globally. Interviews, features and keynotes from renowned industry leaders will be broadcast live over five days.
Mobile World Live TV is the video broadcast service that provides telecommunications content throughout MWC each year. This year marks the first trial of 5G live broadcasting in the history of Mobile World Live TV.
Throughout the broadcast, Samsung’s 5G solutions will be used, which are composed of a radio access unit (5G Radio) and a 5G router (CPE), powering the content shot by the High Definition Television Video (HDTV) camera at the booth of Mobile World Live TV located in Broadcast Village, Gran Via.
Previously, fiber-based backhaul was used for transmission from Mobile World Live TV’s booth to its production facility. This year’s transmission will be supported by Samsung’s 5G network, which is effective in overcoming the physical limitations of a fiber-based network. 5G broadcast offers ultra-low latency for the transmission of large files such as video content.

As the power of broadcasting lies with immediate engagement and interaction with viewers, the network used for broadcasting a live channel should be able to support seamless transmission of high-quality and large-capacity content via televisions and other electronic devices without experiencing latency. User experiences with broadcast are essential in determining the capabilities of 5G network solutions to support live broadcast more broadly in the future.
Meanwhile, following its world’s first complete commercialization of 5G FWA solutions, comprised of 5G radio (access unit and virtualized RAN), 5G routers and next-generation core in February 2018, Samsung brought one of the smallest integrated FCC-certified 5G radio base stations and 5G home routers (CPEs) to the market. In addition to its successful commercialization of 5G services across the U.S., Samsung has been selected by one of the major Korean operators as a 5G vendor.
