Совсем недавно мы сообщали о том, что носимые TIZEN-гаджеты Samsung Gear S2, Gear Fit2 и Gear Fit2 Pro получили солидные обновления ПО, значительно расширяющие их возможности. Например, фитнес-браслеты научились точнее отслеживать количество потребляемых калорий и получили апдейт интерфейса, а смарт-часы 3-летней давности Gear S2 вообще получили вторую жизнь благодаря появлению целого набора продвинутых функций, приближающих гаджет к более дорогим моделям типа Gear S3. Теперь очередь дошла до беспроводных смарт-наушников Gear IconX (2018). Наверняка обновление порадует меломанов, которые ценят различные пресеты.

Главная особенность апдейта — возможность менять настройки эквалайзера, сообщается на официальном новостном сайте Samsung. Пользователи могут выбрать из 5-ти пресетов: Bass Boost, Clear, Dynamic, Soft и Treble Boost. Это, прежде всего, поможет владельцам смартфонов других марок, у которых бывают сложности с регулировкой качества звучания из-за применения разного "железа" и софта.
Также владельцы Gear IconX могут регулировать интенсивность функции Ambient Sound. При её активации можно игнорировать окружающие звуки и наслаждаться прослушиванием без проникновения внешних шумов.
Wireless Transfer создана для передачи музыки на наушники по Bluetooth. Скорость передачи ниже, но вполне может пригодиться.
Обновление загружается в меню настроек приложения Samsung Gear.

Software Update for TIZEN-powered Samsung Gear IconX (2018)

Offering a cord-free, ergonomic design, standalone music playback, automatic activity tracking and a built-in Running Coach, Samsung’s Gear IconX earbuds were made for users who are constantly on the move – and need a device that can keep up.
Released on April 10, the fitness-focused earbuds’ latest software update makes it even easier for users to maximize workouts – introducing new ways to customize the listening experience and streamlining how users fill the device with their favorite ‘pump-up’ tracks.
For example, the Gear IconX’s new Equalizer feature allows users to quickly and easily adjust their audio’s frequency to optimal levels by choosing from five finely tuned presets: Bass Boost, Soft, Dynamic, Clear and Treble Boost.
The enhanced Ambient Sound function, meanwhile, enables users to specify exactly how much ambient sound they would like the earbuds to let in. This makes it easier for users to pay attention to sounds around them, which makes the function especially useful when running or cycling outdoors. When indoors, users may activate the earbuds’ new Voice Focus function, which amplifies the voices of those in their surroundings.
The Gear IconX’s standalone music playback and 4GB of built-in storage allow users to get in the zone during workouts without being weighed down by their phone. The update’s new Wireless Transfer feature enhances this functionality by streamlining how users manage their earbuds’ music library – removing the need for cables and allowing users to wirelessly add multiple tracks at once.
Gear IconX users may download the update via the Samsung Gear app.

Samsung Gear IconX (2018) поддерживают прослушивание контента в онлайн- и оффлайн-режиме: воспроизводить трэки можно из памяти смартфона через Bluetooth-соединение (потоковый режим) или из памяти самих наушников, скопировав музыку со смартфона или ПК.
Увеличенные динамики и более совершенный протокол кодирования Samsung Scalable Codec обеспечивают новое качество звучания Gear IconX (2018). Это означает, что использование наушников, как гарнитуры смартфона, позволит лучше слышать собеседника, а при воспроизведении музыки звук будет мощнее и объёмнее.
4Гб встроенной памяти вполне достаточно для хранения предустановленного ПО, а также для записи на устройство пользовательской библиотеки аудиофайлов. Усовершенствованные аккумуляторы Gear IconX (2018) позволят слушать музыку в течение 7 часов в автономном и до 5 часов в потоковом режиме. Быстро зарядить разряженное устройство можно, поместив в специальный футляр-аккумулятор, идущий в комплекте. Благодаря функции быстрой зарядки всего за 10 минут батарейки наушников можно зарядить до уровня, достаточного для воспроизведения музыки в течение часа.

Продажи новых смарт-часов Gear Sport и беспроводных смарт-наушников Gear IconX (2018) стартовали 27 октября в Южной Корее, США, Канаде и некоторых странах Европы. Уже 31 октября девайсы получили программные обновления, расширяющие их возможности и улучшающие стабильность работы.
В аннотации к обновлению смарт-часов Samsung Gear Sport производитель сообщает, что после апдейта гаджет улучшит качество мониторинга физического состояния владельца, повысит производительность за счёт устранения ряда ошибок, а также обеспечит лучшую безопасность от хакерских атак.
Кроме того, добавлены новые опции, в частности, контроль веса (Samsung Health Weight), фитнесс-программы, виджет "Сводка состояния" (Health Summary) и многое другое.
В свою очередь, беспроводная смарт-гарнитура IconX, работающая (как и Gear Sport) на операционной системе TIZEN, после апдейта повысит качество соединения с внешними устройствами по протоколу Bluetooth.
Напомним, что предзаказ в России на эти высокотехнологичные новинки от южнокорейского техногиганта стартовал в прошлом месяце и в ближайшие дни оба девайса поступят в открытую продажу.
Рекомендованная цена для Samsung Gear Sport составляет около 20.000 рублей, а за Samsung Gear IconX попросят порядка 12.000.

Gear Sport Firmware Update

Firmware version R600XXU1AQJ5 is now being rolled out for the Gear Sport. The Gear Sport firmware update that Samsung has released today weighs in at 28.70MB. The changelog reveals that it improves sensor accuracy. The accuracy of sensors that detect heart rate and pace during exercise has particularly been improved.
The new features that this update adds include Samsung Health Weight management, Fitness programs, Health Summary widget and more. Security improvements for the device are included as well. This Gear Sport firmware update brings the usual slew of device stability improvements and bug fixes as well.
The Gear Sport is now available for purchase in markets like South Korea and the United States. Samsung is offering it in Blue and Black colors with a wide variety of changeable 20mm straps.

Gear IconX (2018) Update

Measuring 18.9 x 21.8 x 22.8 mm, the new Gear IconX (2018) weighs just 8 grams per earbud. They feature 4GB of internal storage. The 82mAh battery promises music playback of up to 7 hours and a talk time of up to 4 hours. That’s a significant improvement over the original Gear IconX.
The new earbuds are also capable of launching Bixby when they’re paired with a supported device like the Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S8. They feature an accelerometer and a heart-rate monitor for activity tracking. The data is then synced with Samsung’s S Health platform.
Samsung is rolling out firmware version R140XXUAQJ2 for the Gear IconX (2018) today. The changelog mentions that this update has “improved stabilizing Bluetooth connection.”
Samsung has started selling the Gear IconX (2018) in a handful of markets. It’s available in black, gray and pink colors for 229.99 euro.
