Мы продолжаем публикации материалов о важнейшем событии в жизни сообщества разработчиков ПО для Samsung, а именно о прошедшей недавно конференции SDC19. Сегодня вашему вниманию предлагается запись трансляции с вводного мероприятия 2-го дня, где шла речь о таких направлениях деятельности корпорации как здравоохранение, сотрудничество со службами спасения, и различными решениями в секторе B2B (бизнес для бизнеса).
Поскольку Samsung Developer Conference ежегодно проходит в США, то внимание программистов было сосредоточено, в большой степени, на создании приложений для местных служб, заинтересованных в применении продвинутых электронных девайсов. Впрочем, многое из этого впоследствии будет распространено на глобальном уровне, в том числе расширение функциональных возможностей носимых смарт-часов, работающих на операционной системе TIZEN. Например, сейчас решается вопрос о внедрении таких продвинутых сервисов как цифровая медицина, где носимые устройства смогут выступать в качестве приборов первичной диагностики (измерение частоты пульса, кровяного давления и снятие кардиограммы) с последующей отправкой данных лечащему врачу. После запуска в США и Великобритании, Samsung планирует распространить такие услуги в других странах, где законодательство приведено в соответствие с последними тенденциями развития персональных электронных устройств.
К сожалению, это не касается России, где сверхмилитаризированная коррупционная система запрещает применение наиболее передовых решений - от скоростной связи 5G (как известно, Кремль не позволяет использовать наиболее пригодные для 5G частоты, мотивируя это необходимостью сохранять их за военными и спецслужбами) до виртуальных электронных карт eSIM, позволяющих отказаться от привязки к одному мобильному оператору и избавляющих абонентов от необходимости менять традиционные физические SIM-карты. Это ведёт к тому, что РФ будет катастрофически отставать от цивилизованного мира, всё больше замыкаясь внутри своих границ по северокорейскому образцу.

Samsung Developer Conference 2019 Opening Keynote

SDC19: в центре внимания искусственный интеллект, Интернет вещей, 5G и безопасность коммуникаций

Через несколько часов в Сан-Хосе (штат Калифорния, США) стартует ежегодное мероприятие Samsung Developer Conference (SDC), которое проходит в течение 2-х дней. Тысячи разработчиков ПО со всего мира, а также представителей масс-медиа, освещающих новости технологий, уже в 6-й раз соберутся в Кремниевой долине - месте средоточения самых передовых глобальных IT-компаний.
SDC - кульминационное событие в секторе создания программного обеспечения для многочисленных устройств марки Samsung. Today thousands of individuals from around the world will gather in San Jose, California to take part in the sixth annual Samsung Developer Conference (SDC). Keynote Speakers and Partnership Announcements to Take Center Stage at the Samsung Developer Conference 2019

Samsung Electronics announced its keynote speakers for the Samsung Developer Conference 2019 (SDC19). The annual conference brings together thousands of developers and creators to learn about the latest development tools and explore new technologies that drive forward next-generation experiences.

Thanks to Samsung’s continuing commitment to open ecosystems, technology leaders are empowered to collaborate with Samsung to bring more convenience, productivity and fun to everyday life for consumers and enterprise customers around the world. Partners work together in the spirit of open innovation to build new, powerful, and unique experiences on Samsung platforms—making it possible for people to do things they couldn’t do before.

Additionally, Taher Behbehani, SVP and Head of Mobile B2B at Samsung Electronics America, will kick off Day two with a discussion on the opportunities for software innovators, entrepreneurs and enterprises to partner with Samsung. Special guests will join him onstage to demonstrate how enterprise developers are delivering next generation social and business apps and services in rewarding ways. And Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, will follow onstage for a fireside chat on the development and challenges of creating his open source, public, blockchain-based distributed computing platform and share his advice for developers.

Samsung Electronics to Present Blockchain Strategy to Smartphone Developers in U.S.

Samsung Electronics will present its blockchain technologies at the SDC Developer 2019 in San Jose, California, in October.

Samsung Electronics will share the trends of next-generation smartphone technologies with developers from around the world in the annual conference, which will be held at the San Jose Convention Center on Oct. 29-30.
Samsung Electronics has held SDC in San Francisco every year since 2013. The company will disclose its blockchain technologies, including Samsung Blockchain Key Store, during this year’s event, which is held at a place where Apple has held the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).
Samsung Electronics introduced digital asset services such as “Samsung Blockchain Wallet” ahead of Apple through the Galaxy S10 launched in March. The company will directly introduce “Blockchain Key Store and Wallet” on the home ground of its chief rival.
"Samsung Electronics has been a latecomer in mobile operating system (OS) and app store ecosystems, although it has been a strong player in the hardware market including smartphones. But it is seeking to beat its competitors in the dApp ecosystem based on blockchains,” an industry insider said. "Recently, Samsung Electronics expanded software development kit (SDK)’s support areas for the blockchain Key Store to include Ethereum and Bitcoin and even Kakao Klaytn. The move was made for the popularization of dApp services."

The Bixby Marketplace is Now Officially Open in the USA and South Korea

The Bixby Marketplace is a one-stop shop for users to browse and add a wide range of services (known as capsules) to enhance their Bixby experience.
This new platform is now open to users in U.S. and Korea. The Bixby Marketplace’s official launch lays the foundation for an open ecosystem of useful services that developers will continuously enrich, and users will be able to make their mobile experience more personal and intuitive.
The key to Bixby’s convenience is simple: customization. Samsung’s intelligence platform is designed to learn what you like to do, and then work with your favorite apps and services to help you get more done—faster.
The Bixby Marketplace takes these customized experiences to the next level by offering easy access to a wide range of capsules that make Bixby more powerful, making it easier for users to tailor Bixby to suit their needs. The Marketplace includes a variety of convenience-enhancing capsules such as Google Maps, Spotify, iHeartRadio, NPR, Yelp and more.

Users access the Bixby Marketplace from the Bixby main page. Once the user launches the Bixby main page by pressing the Bixby key, they swipe left to get to the Bixby Marketplace. Capsules are organized by categories such as Productivity, Business and Finance, Sports, Shopping, etc.
Searching by capsule name, developer or keyword makes it easy to find the capsules you need, while curated staff picks and user reviews highlight capsules that users will find particularly useful. Capsules can be added with a single tap of a button, and users can also rate and review capsules to ensure the highest quality Bixby capsules are the most visible to users in the Bixby Marketplace.
To add even more customization, users can set a capsule as the “preferred capsule” for certain types of requests. For example, if a user says “Get me a ride to San Francisco airport”, Bixby will prompt the user to pick one of the supported Rideshare capsules. Users will have the option to set their favorite provider as their preferred Rideshare capsule. Once that is set, any Rideshare request would automatically go to the user’s preferred provider, even if the user does not mention the capsule name. The ability for users to customize their own personal Bixby experience allows them to easily incorporate a wide range of capsules into their everyday lives.

Samsung will continue to improve the Bixby platform and evolve the Bixby Marketplace to support developer needs and enhance the experience for all our users. Developers will continue to add more capsules to the Bixby Marketplace over the next few months.
