Один из основных сдерживающих факторов, препятствующих распространению блокчейна на мобильных устройствах, это то, что сейчас большинство блокчейн-приложений созданы для ПК и их браузеров. Это сделано, главным образом, из соображений безопасности.
Для работы с блокчейном необходимы открытый и закрытый ключи, или строки символов, которые практически невозможно подобрать наугад. Это одновременно и сильная, и слабая стороны технологии: ключ – это всё, что необходимо хакеру для получения доступа. И вместо того, чтобы тратить время на подбор ключа, хакеры могут просто похитить его из наиболее уязвимой точки системы – на компьютере или мобильном устройстве.
В любой момент, когда ключи от блокчейна вводятся, отображаются или сохраняются на таких устройствах, они могут быть скомпрометированы. Кроме того, мобильные приложения, использующие блокчейн, обычно хранят закрытые индивидуальные ключи во внутренней памяти телефона, что также повышает их уязвимость к атакам хакеров. Samsung разработал решение этих проблем: в начале этого года было представлено приложение Samsung Blockchain Wallet App для Galaxy S10. Основная задача этого криптокошелька – дать пользователям инструмент для осуществления транзакций в криптовалютах и обеспечить удобный доступ к децентрализованным мобильным приложениям (DApps) на их смартфонах.

SDC19: Developers and Users Get More out of Blockchain with Samsung Blockchain Platform SDK

Blockchain has been the buzzword of the tech and finance industry over the last few years as the technology has seen solid, steady growth. Coming off the recent cryptocurrency booms and the active discussions about practical application, blockchain is poised to evolve even further as it continues to hold much promise.
Its main benefits stem from decentralization and transparency. By distributing data across many computers rather than a centralized server, no single authority has control over the information, making it more fair, secure, and transparent. For these reasons, blockchain has promising potential across a variety of industries including finance, medicine, real estate, and entertainment.
From cryptocurrency wallets to DApps–or decentralized apps– Samsung has been steadily building a variety of blockchain-powered services, as it sees an opportunity to capitalize on that potential. One of the major obstacles of taking blockchain mobile is that, in the current environment, the majority of blockchain applications are PC or web based. The main reason for this is security.
Access to a blockchain requires both a public and private key, or cryptic strings of characters that are near impossible to simply guess by luck. This is both the strength and weakness of blockchain technology: although it is impossible to access data in a blockchain without the right key, the key is all a hacker needs to access your data. Rather than waste time guessing keys, hackers simply try to steal them at the most vulnerable point in the system – your personal computer or mobile device.
Anytime blockchain keys are entered, displayed, or stored unencrypted on such devices, they are susceptible to the prying eyes of a hacker. Additionally, mobile DApps built for blockchain typically store private keys in their internal data storage, making them vulnerable to hacks. But Samsung is tackling some of these issues and pushing the envelope of mobile blockchain solutions.

Delivering Blockchain Solutions

Earlier in the year, the company announced the Samsung Blockchain Wallet App, along with the blockchain-enabled flagship Galaxy S10. The main purpose of the wallet is to allow users to make transactions in cryptocurrencies and easily access DApps on their smartphones. This is all made possible through Samsung Blockchain Keystore.
Samsung Blockchain Keystore is a critical part of Samsung’s blockchain initiative and addresses some of the key security concerns presented by bringing blockchain to mobile platforms. Samsung Blockchain Keystore allows security-conscious users to treat their phone like a cold wallet, storing their private information in a dedicated secure zone with the additional protection of Samsung Knox and TEE.
Samsung has also given DApp developers access to the Samsung Blockchain Keystore through the Samsung Blockchain Keystore SDK, allowing them to integrate the Samsung Blockchain Keystore into their DApps and provide secure private key authentication. Samsung’s push into blockchain is expanding even further with the Samsung Blockchain Platform SDK.

Opening Doors for Developers

The Samsung Blockchain Platform SDK will be announced at SDC19 and is a comprehensive solution that tackles two of the biggest obstacles in expanding the DApp ecosystem: security and the complexity of building a mobile-compatible DApp. The new SDK not only allows DApps, many of which are web based, the ability to seamlessly integrate their apps into a mobile space, it is also highly attractive for legacy apps that want to integrate blockchain features, such as enabling payment with cryptocurrency. A Better Blockchain Experience

Reducing the complexity of building blockchain apps is a huge boost to both developers and users, opening up a wider ecosystem of DApps and more possibilities for blockchain.

SDC19 Opening Keynote (LIVE Stream)

SoftPOS в России: смартфон со встроенной онлайн-кассой и возможностью приёма безналичных платежей от Samsung и INPAS

Samsung Electronics и российский провайдер платёжных решений INPAS объявляют о запуске сервиса SoftPOS для бизнеса, который превращает смартфон в POS-терминал и полноценную онлайн-кассу.
Технологию, готовую для использования, компании представили в рамках форума FINOPOLIS 2019 в Сочи. На презентации партнёры продемонстрировали работу устройства и провели первую транзакцию в пользу одной из благотворительных организаций. Эквайером проекта выступил Банк Русский Стандарт, который обеспечил техническую готовность финансовой операции через SoftPOS.
SoftPOS позволяет принимать любые бесконтактные платежи и использовать функции онлайн-кассы при помощи обычного смартфона или планшета Samsung. Компания INPAS дополнила решение SoftPOS специальным программным обеспечением, которое превращает смартфон в полноценную онлайн-кассу с функцией приёма наличных и безналичных платежей, облачной фискализацией и возможностью добавления номенклатуры, назначения цен, скидок и отправки покупателям электронных чеков.
Для оплаты покупки нужно зайти в приложение SoftPOS, предварительно зарегистрировавшись, ввести необходимую сумму транзакции или выбрать товар, а затем предложить клиенту приложить к смартфону с NFC бесконтактную банковскую карту или любое другое устройство, поддерживающее платёжные инструменты Samsung Pay, Apple Pay или Google Pay. После успешной операции электронный чек можно отправить клиенту по почте, SMS или через QR-код.
Все данные о транзакциях, совершённых со смартфона SoftPOS, передаются через оператора фискальных данных (ОФД) в ФНС путём подключения смартфона к облаку в соответствии с требованиями 54-ФЗ. Процесс происходит удалённо через установленные фискальные регистраторы в центре обработки данных (ЦОД), поэтому владельцу SoftPOS не требуется подключать отдельный фискальный регистратор.
Решение уже получило необходимую для работы сертификацию международных платёжных систем (МПС) — сертификацию безопасности от взломов, проникновения в систему и перехватов транзакций.
Разработка Samsung Electronics и INPAS — удобная и доступная альтернатива онлайн-кассам и POS-терминалам. Решение подходит для любого типа бизнеса: курьеров, служб доставки, сетевого бизнеса, розницы, общепита. Особую актуальность технология имеет для сегмента малого и микробизнеса.
Провайдер платёжных решений INPAS разработал и внедрил платёжное приложение и кассовое ПО с уникальным интерфейсом, где предприниматели могут пройти регистрацию, выбрать подходящий банк-эквайер и подать необходимые документы для подключения эквайринга.
На данный момент технология SoftPOS с кассовым программным обеспечением работает на смартфонах Samsung Galaxy, планшетах Galaxy Tab и защищённых смартфонах Xcover4.
Международный пилотный проект был представлен Samsung вместе с американской компанией-обработчиком платёжных данных First Data (корпорация Fiserv) и VISA на выставке IFA в сентябре 2019 года. Пилотный проект будет запущен в Польше до конца 2019 года.

SoftPOS in Russia: a smartphone with a built-in online cashier and the ability to accept cashless payments from Samsung and INPAS

Samsung Electronics and the russian payment solutions provider INPAS announce the launch of the SoftPOS service for business, which turns the smartphone into a POS terminal and a full-fledged online cashier.
At a presentation in Sochi, partners demonstrated the operation of the device and conducted the first transaction in favor of one of the charitable organizations. Russian Standard Bank provided technical support for the financial transaction through SoftPOS.
SoftPOS allows you to accept any contactless payments and use the functions of an online cashier using a regular Samsung smartphone or tablet. INPAS supplemented the SoftPOS solution with special software that turns the smartphone into a full-fledged online cashier with the function of receiving cash and cashless payments, cloud fiscalization and the ability to add items, set prices, discounts and send electronic checks to customers.
The development of Samsung Electronics and INPAS is a convenient and affordable alternative to online cash registers and POS terminals. The solution is suitable for any type of business: couriers, delivery services, network business, retail, catering. The technology is of particular relevance for the small and micro-business segment.
Payment solutions provider INPAS has developed and implemented a payment application and cash register software with a unique interface where entrepreneurs can register, select a suitable acquiring bank and submit the necessary documents for acquiring.
Currently, SoftPOS technology with cash register software works on Samsung Galaxy smartphones, Galaxy Tab tablets and Xcover 4 rugged smartphones.
The international pilot project was presented by Samsung together with the American payment data processor company First Data (Fiserv Corporation) and VISA at IFA in September 2019. A pilot project will be launched in Poland in 2019.

IFA 2019: Presenting SoftPOS – A Solution that Turns Smartphones and Tablets into a Contactless Payment Terminal

SoftPOS enables Samsung mobile devices to be used for contactless transactions for any amount with no additional equipment

Новое поколение покупает мобильные устройства, чтобы делиться впечатлениями, общаться и просматривать контент: 92% используют смартфоны для социальных сетей, 86% – для чатов и обмена сообщениями, и 85% – для просмотра и публикации видео2.

Welcome Galaxy A; Samsung’s New Series of Smartphones to Fit Every Individual Lifestyle, Need and Passion

At Samsung, consumers are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why, last September, I announced a shift in our mobile strategy. We saw a whole new generation of people using smartphones at a younger age and embracing new innovations sooner. To capture their hearts and minds, we needed to rethink our device offerings to better meet their unique lifestyles, needs and passions.
This generation, also known as Generation Z will account for 40% of mobile device demand in the next decade. Priding themselves on spontaneity and creativity, these digital natives don’t just shoot stills, they create music videos. They’re adding filters and experimenting with AR effects. They’re conversing through Gifs & stickers and sharing their life story through videos across multiple social platforms.
I’m learning a lot from them. One thing is for certain. We see a movement from the ‘era of the selfie’ to the ‘era of live’. ‘Live’ is driving mobile video growth at an unprecedented pace, for example, live video consumption is expected to increase by 870%, making up 78% of total mobile data traffic by 2021.1
This new generation is buying a mobile device to share, chat and watch content: 92% to do so through social media channels, 86% to use chat and instant message and 85% to view and share videos.2
But ‘live’ can only thrive if device technologies empower people to interaction through spontaneous, collaborative, and genuine connections. This requires a change.
I am proud to share that less than a year after announcing our renewed strategy, we are introducing the rebirth of the Galaxy A – a diverse range of smartphones built for the new era of communication, we call the ‘Era of Live’. This upgraded portfolio features improvements to the everyday essentials, offers the latest technologies, and ultimately provides an option for everyone, whether first-time mobile users or value-seekers looking for great features at an affordable price.

Samsung представляет функцию удалённого доступа Remote Access для управления подключёнными IoT-устройствами на Smart TV

Корпорация Samsung Electronics объявляет о запуске новой функции «Удалённый доступ» (Remote Access), которая появится на её смарт-телевизорах модельного ряда 2019 года. Теперь владельцы аппаратов на операционной платформе TIZEN смогут легко подключать компьютеры, планшеты и смартфоны к телевизору, что позволит управлять совместимыми программами и приложениями с помощью Smart TV.
Новая функция даёт возможность подключить к телевизору устройства ввода, в том числе клавиатуру, для более простого и удобного управления контентом на экране. Владельцы Smart TV также могут получать доступ к ПК, находящемуся в другой комнате, без необходимости отдельного HDMI-подключения, чтобы, например, пользоваться интернетом или играть в любимые видеоигры, используя подключённую клавиатуру и мышь.
Помимо отображения контента на большом экране «Удалённый доступ» позволяет напрямую управлять устройствами, подключёнными к телевизору. Также посредством Remote Access можно получить доступ к офисному облачному сервису, чтобы работать с документами.

Samsung Introduces Remote Access, Enabling User Control Over Peripheral Connected Devices Through its Smart TVs

Remote Access feature on Samsung’s 2019 Smart TVs to provide users wireless, on-screen control over connected peripheral devices, enabling convenient web browsing, cloud office access and more

Samsung Electronics today announced Remote Access, a new feature that will be available on its TIZEN-powered Smart TV lineups starting 2019. The Remote Access feature will provide enhanced wireless connectivity with PCs, tablets, and smartphones – allowing consumers to remotely control compatible programs and apps through their Samsung Smart TV.
With Remote Access, input devices, including keyboards, can be connected to a Samsung Smart TV, making it easier for users to control their on-screen content. Without a separate HDMI cable connection, users can remotely access a PC in their room through the TV in their living room to perform various tasks including surfing the web or playing games from their TV’s screen using a connected keyboard and mouse.
Remote Access allows users to directly control their devices connected to a TV with a keyboard and mouse in addition to simply displaying the content on a larger screen. Additionally, web browser-based cloud office service can be accessed through Remote Access, so users can now access files and work on documents from their Smart TVs.
“Samsung is committed to creating an intuitive and convenient user experience for consumers. With Remote Access, consumers will be able to easily access various programs, apps and cloud services installed on multiple connected devices directly through their TV screen,” said Hyogun Lee, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “We will continue to collaborate with our partners to expand the compatibility of Remote Access and provide more services to our users.”
Remote Access can be used anywhere in the world thanks to VMware Horizon, a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solution that Samsung and its partner VMware, a leading innovator in enterprise software, provide to consumers.
“Samsung and VMware share a passion for helping workers to be as productive as possible. We continue to expand our partnership, so that those working remotely will have a seamless experience as they access virtual desktops, applications, and online services from their favorite Samsung devices – including a Samsung Smart TV,” said Shankar Iyer, Senior Vice President and General Manager, End User Computing at VMware.
To address security concerns surrounding wireless connectivity and cloud services, Samsung has integrated its proprietary Knox security technology into its Remote Access features. Embedded in Samsung’s Smart TV lineup since 2015, Knox is supported with regular firmware updates for continuous protection. Knox has been certified by Common Criteria for its security performance and is the only security solution in the TV industry to receive this certification.
