Во 2-м квартале 2018 Samsung вырвал победу у китайской Xiaomi на индийском мобильном рынке

По итогам 2-го квартала южнокорейский техногигант вернул себе лидерскую позицию на мобильном рынке Индии. Напомним, что в 1-м квартале с небольшим отрывом там лидировала китайская Xiaomi. Впрочем, нынешнее лидерство Samsung также минимально и соперников разделяет лишь 1 процентный пункт.
Согласно данным статистической службы Counterpoint Research, в настоящее время Samsung контролирует 29% индийского рынка, а следом идёт целая вереница "китайцев" во главе с Xiaomi (28%). Брэндам Vivo и Oppo досталось 12% и 10% соответственно, в то время как доля всех остальных производителей в общей сложности упала на 17%.
На фоне успеха азиатских вендоров положение американской Apple выглядит совсем бледно. Компания из Купертино едва удерживает 1% индийского рынка.
В то же время для мобильного бизнеса Samsung наступают тяжёлые времена, поскольку бороться с китайским нашествием ему придётся фактически в одиночку. Все прежние известные игроки типа финской Nokia, американской Motorola или японской Sony сдали свои позиции, причём первые две из упомянутых марок теперь принадлежат всё тем же китайцам.
Напомним, что год назад Samsung уверенно лидировал на индийском рынке, контролируя долю в 24%, в то время как Xiaomi удалось тогда отвоевать 16%, сообщает бизнес-портал The Investor.

Samsung beats Xiamoi in Indian smartphone market

Samsung Electronics slightly outpaced Chinese rival Xiaomi in the Indian smartphone market over this year’s second quarter, data showed on July 25.
The Korean tech giant took up 29% of the Indian market in the April-June period in terms of shipments, followed by Xiaomi with 28%, industry tracker Counterpoint Research said.
Other Chinese brands followed, with Vivo and Oppos taking up 12% and 10%, respectively, over the cited period, and Apple with 1%, Counterpoint Research said. 
Xiaomi outpaced Samsung for the two previous quarters. In the first quarter of 2018, Samsung posted a market share of 26,2%, hovering below Xiaomi‘s 31,1%.
The latest neck-and-neck competition is in contrast to April-June period of 2017, when Samsung controlled 24% vis-a-vis Xiaomi’s 16%.
“Samsung has regained the leading position after ceding it to Xiaomi two quarters ago. The success of Samsung during the quarter can be attributed to its refreshed J-series; it launched more models than any other brand, across multiple price points, during the quarter,” the industry tracker said.

Samsung launches all new Galaxy On6 with Infinity Display and Latest ‘Make for India’ Innovation – Chat Over Video

Samsung has launched Galaxy On6 in India today. The latest offering from Samsung is an online exclusive available on Flipkart, India’s leading e-commerce platform and on Samsung Online Shop.
The Infinity Design on the Galaxy On6 gives consumers nearly 15% more display area without increasing the overall size of the device. This can be attributed to extremely thin bezels and by swapping the physical home button with software powered in-display home button. Samsung Electronics планирует удвоить объёмы производства смартфонов в Индии, которая является вторым по величине рынком в этом сегменте, сообщает сегодня бизнес-пртал The Investor.
Транснациональный гигант модернизирует свою производственную линию в городе Ноида (штат Уттар-Прадеш), чтобы нарастить темпы производства с 5 до 10 миллионов смартфонов ежемесячно. Объём инвестиций, выделенных на расширение производства, превышает 730 миллионов долларов.
Индия стала одной из 3-х глобальных производственных баз корпорации, наряду с Китаем и Вьетнамом. Samsung производит более 20 миллионов мобильных трубок во Вьетнаме и 10 миллионов единиц в Китае каждый год.
Также ожидается изменение подхода Samsung к маркетинговым кампаниям, запускаемых на территории Индии, с учётом обострения конкурентной борьбы с агрессивными китайскими брэндами, прежде всего Xiaomi, которая объявляет сеья лидером местного рынка 2-й квартал подряд. Впрочем, представители samsung India говорят, что Xiami лукавит, рапортуя лишь об объёмах отгрузок. По данным немецкой исследовательской компании GfK, в реальных продажах на рынке Индии по-прежнему лидирует Samsung. 

Samsung to double phone production in India

Samsung Electronics is expected to double phone production in India, with the expansion work being completed soon to start operations later this year, according to industry sources on May 30.
The Korean tech giant has been expanding its production lines in Noida, a city in India’s northern state of Uttar Pradesh, to increase its phone production capacity from the current 5 million units per month to 10 million units. A total of 50 billion rupees (US$736.90 million) has been invested in the expansion.
India has become one of the company’s three global production bases along with China and Vietnam. Samsung produces more than 20 million phones in Vietnam and 10 million units in China every year. 
Samsung also will be ramping up marketing and sales activities in India. The world’s largest smartphone maker used to top the local market for years but it had to surrender the leadership to its Chinese rival Xiaomi in the fourth quarter last year for the first time.
With the increased production, Samsung plans to speed up launch schedules and produce India-only budget models to better appeal to local consumers.

21 мая Samsung опубликовал пресс-релиз с анонсом сразу 4-х моделей смартфонов для индийского рынка. Об аппаратах Galaxy A6 и A6+  мы уже сообщали, а что касается Galaxy J6 и J8, то о них мы расскажем сегодня.
Итак, Galaxy J6, который должен появится и на других рынках, оценивается в 205 и 240 долларов в зависимости от модификации. В аппаратную основу разработчики включили SoC Exynos 7 Series, а именно Exynos 7870.
Смартфон получил дисплей Super AMOLED с диагональю 5,6 дюйма и разрешением 1480х720 пикселей, 3Гб ОЗУ и 32 ГБ флэш-памяти (в старшей модификации, соответственно, 4Гб ОЗУ и 64 ГБ флэш0памяти). Разумеется, присутствует и слот для карт microSD, причём отдельно от двух слотов для SIM-карт. Камеры имеют разрешение 13 и 8 Мп с диафрагмой F/1,9 в обоих случаях. Кроме того, каждый фотомодуль получил собственную вспышку.
Ёмкость аккумулятора — 3000 мА·ч. Габариты 149,3х70,2х8,2 мм при массе 154 грамма. В качестве ОС выступает Android 8.0 Oreo. Доступны чёрный и золотой варианты оформления.
Galaxy J8 оценён в 280 долларов. Дисплей имеет диагональ 6 дюймов при сохранении того де разрешения, что и у J6. За производительность здесь отвечает Snapdragon 450, а оперативной и флэш-памяти в новой модели предусмотрено 4 и 64 ГБ соответственно. Ёмкость аккумулятора выросла до 3500 мА·ч. Также улучшены параметры камер. Основная тут сдвоенная с датчиками разрешением 16 и 5 Мп (диафрагма — F/1,7 и F/1,9), а фронтальная — 16-мегапиксельная со светосилой F/1,9.

Индийские профильные ресурсы сообщают, что Samsung готовится к презентации новых моделей смартфонов популярной линейки Galaxy J в Индии. IANS утверждает, что вендор анонсирует сразу 4 модели.
Источники указывают, что в младшей серии коммуникаторов Samsung появится такое премиальное решение как Infinity Display. Ожидается, что вытянутую панель получит Galaxy J6, который прошёл сертификацию FCC и даже появился в разделе поддержки на украинском сайте Samsung.
По другим 3-м аппаратам точной информации пока нет. Предположительно, одним из них станет бюджетник Samsung Galaxy J2 Core — недавно его заметили в результатах бенчмарка Geekbench. Версии смартфонов для индийского рынка будут выпускаться на местных заводах Samsung. Они поддерживают функцию максимальной экономии трафика и режим S Bike для мотоциклистов.
Тем не менее ряд осведомлённых источников утверждает, что в ближайшие недели на индийском рынке будут запущены следующие модели J-серии*:

Несмотря на выход очередных модификаций, прошлогодняя модель Galaxy J7 (2017) и её Pro-версия остаются хорошей альтернативой большинству аппаратов J-серии 2018 года, особенно если учесть, что цены на Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) постепенно снижаются. Вот уже несколько месяцев в нашей редакции проходит усиленное тестирование такая модель, и, надо отметить, что она показала себя с наилучшей стороны. Через некоторое время мы планируем выпустить отчёт о прошлогоднем "бюджетном флагмане" Samsung. 
При этом самой многообещающей моделью серии J (2018) должна стать Samsung Galaxy J8+, слухи о которой появились довольно давно, но анонс аппарата состоится позже его более доступных предшественников.

Samsung to launch 4 new Galaxy J smartphones with 'Infinity Display' in India 

In a bid to disrupt the mid-segment smartphone market, Samsung is set to launch four new smartphones with "Infinity Display" in India in May. All of them will be made at its Noida facility. 
Targeted for the millennials, all the Galaxy "J" series devices would come with "Infinity Display" - bezel-less screen that creates an immersive viewing experience, at affordable prices, industry sources told IANS on Monday.
Notably, Samsung's flagship smartphones such as Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S9 series feature the "Infinity Display" and now, with the upcoming devices, the display feature would be introduced at lower price points in the Indian market.
The South Korean giant first introduced the "Infinity Display" in Galaxy S8 series in 2017.
Meanwhile, in continuation with its "Make for India" initiative, the new Galaxy "J" smartphones would come with innovations such as "S bike" mode, Ultra Data Saving (UDS) mode and "Turbo Speed" technology.
The company launched Galaxy J7 Duo with dual camera - a first in the popular "J" series - at Rs 16,990 in India in April.
Galaxy J7 Duo comes with rear camera system of 13 MP+5MP setup and 8MP front camera. The device comes with Android Oreo operating system (OS).

В Индии "засветился" новый смартфон Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2

Индийский официальный сайт корпорации Samsung в разделе мобильных устройств опубликовал информацию о поступлении новой модели Galaxy J7 Prime 2.
Судя по технической спецификации, новинка не слишком сильно отличается от позапрошлогодней и всё так же базируется на SoC Exynos 7870, имеет 3Гб ОЗУ, 32Гб встроенной флэш-памяти, основную камеру с разрешением 13Мп (максимальная диафрагма объектива – F/1,9), аккумуляторную батарею ёмкостью 3300 мА·ч и FullHD-дисплей с диагональю 5,5 дюйма.
В сопроводительной документации отмечается, что в сетях 3G заряда аккумулятора хватит на 21 час непрерывного разговора.
Изменения заметны в оформлении фронтальной панели и в параметрах сэлфи-камеры: теперь в ней используется фотосенсор с разрешением 13Мп. Кроме того, Galaxy J7 Prime 2 поставляется с операционной системой Android 7 из коробки и поддерживает платёжный сервис Samsung Mini Pay.
Разумеется, аппарат поддерживает работу со всеми основными беспроводными протоколами, имеет слот для дополнительной карты памяти MicroSD и сканер отпечатков пальцев.
Габариты смартфона сохранились от предшественника: 151,7x75x8 мм, а масса увеличилась всего лишь на 3 грамма, составив 170гр.
В Индии Galaxy J7 Prime 2 будет предложен покупателям примерно за $215.
Возможно, что в скором времени аппарат достигнет и просторов СНГ, где пока ещё имеется в продаже Galaxy J7 Prime.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 launched in India

Samsung has silently launched the updated version of Galaxy J7 Prime. The new phone is named as Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2.
Listed for Rs 13,990, the J7 Prime 2 comes with 13 megapixel cameras both in the front and back. The rear camera has F1.9 aperture and the backing of a flash light. Armed with a 1.6 GHz Exynos 7 series octa core processor, the J7 Prime 2 comes with a 5.5 inch FHD display. There is 3 GB RAM in the phone and 32 GB of internal memory for storage.
The Samsung J7 Prime 2 has also a micro SD card slot for up to a 256 GB card. The 4G phone offers micro USB 2.0 port, WiFi, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, a 3.5 mm jack and GPS.
There are Accelerometer,Fingerprint Sensor,Proximity Sensors in the Android phone which measures 151.7 x 75.0 x 8.0 mm and weighs 170 grams with a 3300 mAh battery that claims to offer 21 hours of talktime on 3G networks.
It comes with Samsung Mini Pay and a camera app called Social Camera that, Samsung says, lets you click, edit and share pictures instantly.
On its primary and secondary cameras, the company claims: "With the F1.9 aperture, you can now take perfect photos and selfies, even in low light. And the 13MP high resolution camera (front + rear) ensures that every shot is crisp and clear."

Новый год ещё только вступает в свои права, а Samsung уже начал активно внедрять свои самые свежие модели на рынок мобильных устройств. На сей раз корпорация представила смартфон Galaxy On7 Prime (2018), который относится к устройствам среднего уровня.
Аппарат построен на фирменном процессоре Exynos 7870. Чип содержит 8 ядер ARM Cortex-A53 с тактовой частотой до 1,6 ГГц, графический контроллер Mali-T830 и модем LTE Category 6 со скоростью загрузки данных до 300 Мбит/с.
5,5-дюймовый экран обладает разрешением 1920×1080 точек (Full HD). Под дисплеем располагается кнопка Home с интегрированным дактилоскопическим сканером.
В тыльной части установлена 13-мегапиксельная камера с максимальной диафрагмой f/1,9 и светодиодной вспышкой. Разрешение фронтальной камеры также составляет 13 миллионов пикселей.

Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime (2018)

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy On7 Prime (2018) as a successor for its 2017 model. Apart from mid-range specs, the Galaxy On7 Prime (2018) comes with exciting features like Samsung Mall image search app and Samsung Pay Mini.

Specifications and Features

The Galaxy On7 Prime (2018) is fitted with a 5.5-inch PLS TFT LCD display that carries support for full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Exynos 7870 chipset that powers the predecessor model is also present under the hood of its 2018 edition. The 32 GB and 64 GB storage variants of the Galaxy On7 Prime (2018) respectively feature 3 GB and 4 GB of RAM. The handset also includes a microSD card slot.
An autofocus enabled 13-megapixel camera with f/1.9 aperture is present on the rear side of the phone. The frontside of the phone bears the same camera sensor, albeit the autofocus feature. The home button that is placed between hardware capacitive keys is embedded with a fingerprint reader. The smartphone is fueled by a 3,300mAh capacity battery.
It is preloaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS that is overlaid with Samsung Experience 8.5 UI. Samsung Mall, an image search app available on the smartphone allow users to snap an image of a product or use an image of a product from the gallery and search for it across different online shopping websites like Amazon, Jabong, ShopClues and TataCliq. Samsung Mall users can add products that they wish to buy to a universal cart through which users will not be required to visit each e-commerce sites individually. The All-in-one Shopping feature offers a single interface to view products from multiple shopping sites. Samsung Pay Mini supports payments through UPI and mobile wallets.
The Galaxy On7 Prime (2018) comes with connectivity features like 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G VoLTE and dual SIM support. It has an impressive appeal as it features a metal unibody chassis. It measures 151.7 x 75 x 8mm and it weighs 167 grams.

Pricing and Availability (for the indian market)

The Galaxy On7 Prime (2018) will be exclusively available through Amazon India and Samsung Shop from Jan. 20. The 32 GB and 64 GB models of the smartphone are respectively priced Rs. 12,990 and Rs. 14,990. It will be available in color choices like Gold and Black. As far as launch offers are concerned, Jio Money users will be getting a cashback of Rs. 2,000 for buyers who purchase the Rs. 299 recharges for 24 months.

В Сети появились новые слухи о будущем TIZEN-смартфоне Samsung Z5

Портал technosamigos, специализирующийся на ранних анонсах мобильных продуктов Samsung, в начале сентября опубликовал материал о возможных спецификациях очередного смартфона серии Samsung Z на базе операционной системы TIZEN.
Как выяснилось, приведённые данные не совсем совпадают с теми, что публикуют индийские  источники.
Разумеется, всё это лишь предварительные сведения, основанные на неофициальных утечках из лабораторий разработчиков, поэтому окончательно характеристики устройства ещё не определены.
Тем не менее, учитывая интерес нашей аудитории к таким гаджетам, мы опубликуем неофициальные данные о предполагаемом аппарате.
Согласно публикациям в профильных СМИ, новый Samsung Z5 получил маркировку SM-Z510FD. Гаджет относится к бюджетной категории и его цена вряд ли окажется выше 120 долларов США.
Предположительно он получит дисплей размером не более 5,5 дюймов с разрешением 720p, 4-ядерный процессор (марка его пока неизвестна) с поддержкой технологии 64-bit вычислений, 2Гб ОЗУ, 16Гб постоянной флэш-памяти (с возможностью расширения сменными карточками MicroSD объёмом до 128Гб), 13-мегапиксельную основную и 5-мегапиксельную сэлфи-камеры.
Что касается программного обеспечения, то здесь полной ясности нет, поскольку в октябре ожидается появление окончательной версии ОС TIZEN 4.0.
Гарантировать можно наличие "из коробки" версии не ниже TIZEN 3.0 с возможностью последующего апгрейда.
Аппарат должен поддерживать работу с двумя SIM-картами, стандарты мобильной связи 4G VoLTE, 3G HSPA+, основные беспроводные протоколы (Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.0). Ёмкость аккумуляторной батареи предположительно составит 2600 мАч (другие источники указывают на 3000 мАч), чего вполне достаточно, учитывая высокую экономичность TIZEN OS.
Среди прочих особенностей можно отметить наличие GPS, FM-радио, стандартного 3,5мм аудиоразъёма и порта micro USB v2.0.
Также предполагается наличие акселерометра, датчиков силы тяжести, приближения и уровня освещённости.
Индийский сайт bestpriceon.in утверждает, что Samsung Z5 получит NFC-модуль и сканер отпечатков пальцев, что косвенно указывает на возможное наличие поддержки сервиса Samsung Pay. Цена на индийском рынке, в пересчёте на рубли, вряд ли превысит отметку в 10.000 (некоторые источники указывают на сумму 7.200 - 8000 рублей). 
О дате выпуска: здесь, по всей видимости, существует привязка к появлению окончательной версии TIZEN 4.0. Поначалу она анонсировалась на сентябрь, но, скорее всего, будет представлена чуть позже, в октябре 2017. Следовательно, Samsung Z5 должен увидеть свет либо в конце этого, либо в начале 2018 года.    
Опять же отметим, что это лишь предварительные данные, которые ещё официально не подтверждены кем-либо из менеджмента Samsung Mobile. 

Samsung Z5 Specs, Features, Release Date, Price in India

The upcoming Samsung Z5 TIZEN phone is reported to come with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with HD resolution. This would be company’s first phablet TIZEN device. With enhancements to the interface, Samsung would be debuting the TIZEN OS 3.0 version as it is due for a release. The multi-purpose OS is scheduled to receive major UI and feature changes. With the support of 64-bit Intel and ARM CPU’s, we expect hardware on Samsung Z5 to get good upgrade compared to a jump from previous iterations Z1, Z2, Z3, and Z4.
The new Samsung TIZEN smartphone would boast a Quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB internal storage with support of microSD card slot for storage expansion. When talking about optics, the rear camera is expected to sport a 13-megapixel resolution sensor and the front camera might sport a 5-megapixel sensor. We may see for the first-time the introduction of a fingerprint sensor and an NFC facility on the new Samsung Z5. The battery capacity is rumored to be 3000 mAh. Looking at the spec sheet, Samsung would be upgrading the Samsung Z5 features.

Samsung Z5 Release Date

Z1 was launched in January 2015, while the Z3 was launched in October 2015,  Z2 in September 2016, Z4 in May 2017. So given that timeframe, the Z5 will be announced in November or December.

Just like the previously launched Samsung TIZEN phones, the Z5 also will be an affordable handset priced nothing more than $120.

Несмотря на "слабенькое железо", Samsung Z4 показывает отличные результаты производительности для своей ценовой категории, оставляя позади Android-одноклассников. Это стало возможным именно благодаря наличию TIZEN OS.
Помимо того, что новая платформа очень шустрая, она ещё и весьма экономична. В сравнении с аналогами на Android, длительность работы аккумуляторов одинаковой ёмкости на Samsung Z4 в 1,5-2 раза дольше, чем на аппаратах с "зелёным роботом".
Чтобы закрепить успех TIZEN-смартфонов на огромном индийском рынке, южнокорейский техногигант запустил первый реклмный тизер Samsung Z4.
Видеороик наглядно демонстрирует то солидное количество опций, которое предлагается прямо из коробки. Кроме того, новый смартфон имеет голосовое управление основными функциями (что является чуть ли не эксклюзивом в столь недорогих аппаратах), а также получил оригинальные опции, которые отсутствуют в смартфонах на Andriid (например, видеотрансляция сразу с двух камер и быстрое переключение между ними простым свайпом в правом нижнем углу дисплея).
Описывать технические характеристики в этой статье мы не будем, поскольку уже неоднократно сообщали об этом в предыдущих публикациях.
Остаётся лишь добавить, что до конца 2017 года Samsung намерен запустить продажи TIZEN-смартфонов в 50-ти странах мира, а на 2018-й год запланированы более амбициозные шаги по внедрению мобильной TIZEN.
Одно огорчает: сведений относительно даты старта продаж TIZEN-смартфонов в России пока не поступало.
