Samsung готовится к выпуску флагманских планшетов серии Galaxy Tab S7

Организация Bluetooth SIG опубликовала сертификационные документы нового планшетного компьютера Samsung, официальная презентация которого ожидается в августе. Это модель Galaxy Tab S7+, получившая маркировку SM-T976B.
Согласно обнародованной информации, новинка получит сенсорный дисплей размером 12,4 дюйма по диагонали. Экран должен быть выполнен по технологии Super AMOLED. Говорится о поддержке разрешения QHD и технологии HDR10+.
Владельцы планшета смогут также использовать фирменное перо S Pen для облегчения взаимодействия с устройством. Питание обеспечит аккумуляторная батарея ёмкостью 10.090 мА·ч с поддержкой быстрой 25-ваттной подзарядки через симметричный порт USB Type-C.
Имеются адаптеры беспроводной связи Wi-Fi 6 и Bluetooth 5.0. В оснащение некоторых модификаций войдёт модем для подключения к ультраскоростным сотовым сетям 5G.
Планшет получит стереофоническую аудиосистему AKG, а также слот microSD. Из коробки устройство будет поставляться с операционной системой Android 10, дополненной фирменным пользовательским интерфейсом One UI 2.
Покупатели смогут выбирать между модификациями в сером, синем и коричневом вариантах цветового исполнения. Кроме того, ожидаются более доступные по цене версии гаджета с 11-дюймовым экраном (с поддержкой 4G и только с модулем Wi-Fi).
Данные по вычислительной платформе пока неизвестны, но они определённо должны быть лучше, чем у прошлогодних Galaxy Tab S6. Предполагается, что новинка позволит воспроизводить и редактировать не только 4K HDR-видео, но и новомодный формат 8K.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G Bluetooth SIG certified

Recent reports have revealed that Samsung is working on the Galaxy Tab S7. It is speculated that the upcoming Galaxy Tab S7 series could be coming in two screen sizes and they are named as Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+. The 5G version of the Galaxy Tab S7+ that has a model number of SM-T976B was approved by the Wi-Fi Alliance authority in May. The same model has received approval from the Bluetooth SIG certification platform.
The Bluetooth SIG certification of the SM-T976GB confirms that it will be debuting as Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G. It also reveals the support for Bluetooth 5.0 on the device. Based on the past reports, it can be said that its Wi-Fi only version has SM-T970 model number whereas its 4G variant has SM-T975. The 5G version of the Galaxy Tab S6 was only available in South Korea. It is being said that the Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G could be coming to markets like Europe and the U.S.
The Galaxy Tab S7+ is rumored to be equipped with a big display of 12.4 inches. The S-AMOLED screen could be integrated with a fingerprint reader. The Wi-Fi certification of the device revealed features like support for dual-band Wi-Fi and Android 10 OS. It could be coming with a 9,800mAh battery.
The SM-T870 and SM-T875 model numbers are rumored to be associated with Galaxy Tab S7. These could be Wi-Fi and 4G editions of the device. The Tab S7 is expected to come with a smaller battery. A 7,760mAh rated capacity battery (EB-BT875ABY model number) has been spotted at the database of China’s 3C authority.
The 3C listing does not clearly mention which Samsung device will feature the EB-BT875ABY battery. However, it appears that this battery could be present inside the Galaxy Tab S7 which is expected to arrive with an 11-inch display. The Tab S7 and Tab S7+ are both expected to come with S Pens stylus support.

Samsung 2020 8K QLED TV lineup earns Wi-Fi 6 certificate

Samsung Electronics announced its 2020 QLED 8K TV lineup has become the world’s first TV sets to meet the requirements of the newest wireless standard Wi-Fi 6. 
The certificate was granted by Wi-Fi Alliance, a non-profit organization that promotes Wi-Fi technology and certificates Wi-Fi products, early this month. 
Wi-Fi 6 is the newest wireless standard with higher transmission throughput while saving on power, translating to smoother 8K streaming capabilities. 
Samsung’s 2020 8K resolution QLED TV is the only 8K TV worldwide supporting the Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, enabling customers to enjoy more seamless entertainment experience with smoother streaming and gaming, on top of unconstrained internet access. 
“The company won the certificate in a preemptive measure to stay competitive in the future premium TV market. As an industry leader, we’ll keep up efforts to apply the latest technology to our product lineup to give more benefits to consumers,” said an official at Samsung Electronics.

Samsung Wins ‘Best Wi-Fi Innovation’ at WBA Industry Awards

On September 30, Samsung Electronics was awarded the 2019 ‘Best Wi-Fi Innovation Award’ by the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA). The honor was bestowed upon Samsung’s Galaxy S10 for its Intelligent Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi 6 innovations, making it the first smartphone to ever receive the award.

The Galaxy S10’s Intelligent Wi-Fi utilizes machine learning to ensure that users’ Wi-Fi connections are both smart and safe. The innovation enables the device to recognize when a user has entered a space where Wi-Fi connections are likely to be unstable, and automatically switch to LTE connectivity to avoid network interruption. What’s more, Intelligent Wi-Fi allows the device to more quickly detect weaker Wi-Fi signals in places like elevators, allowing it to transition from Wi-Fi to LTE connectivity much more quickly. Upon connecting to a new network, the function even allows the device to analyze traffic patterns and notify users if the network is suspicious, thus protecting them from dangers such as phishing and malware attacks.

The Galaxy S10’s Wi-Fi 6 capability provides smartphone support for next generation technology, boosting download and upload speeds by up to 20 percent compared to previous generations of Wi-Fi. When users are in crowded areas where Wi-Fi signals would usually be slow and unstable, Wi-Fi 6 allows for network connections that are about four times faster than those experienced by users of older Wi-Fi generations connecting in the same location. And surprisingly, this added speed and reliability actually uses less battery power, not more, allowing users to conserve power for when they need it.

The WBA Industry Awards have been honoring remarkable developments in Wi-Fi ecosystems globally for the past seven years. The awards acknowledge exceptional innovations in wireless networks, smart cities and remote wireless deployments in the interests of recognizing and encouraging excellence and promoting successful practices. Each shortlisted nomination is featured in a WBA Case Study so that the innovation may be shared with the wider industry.

Wi-Fi 6 Enabling New Mobile Experiences

Wi-Fi is a critical piece of infrastructure required to enable the proper function of a growing number of both consumer and commercial devices. From televisions and appliances to security and communication systems, the expectations for everything, and everyone, to be connected is growing. Wi-Fi Alliance has led the development of industry agreed standards for devices for many years. Недавней презентацией новых моделей Galaxy S10 в Сан-Франциско Samsung не только завершил декаду прорывных инноваций Galaxy и открыл новую главу в истории мобильной индустрии, вендор в очередной раз подтвердил свои лидерские позиции в определении будущего мобильных технологий.
На днях официальный информационный портал Samsung опубликовал подробное описание инновациий, которыми наделены юбилейные флагманы. 

Безупречный экран

Galaxy S10 оснащён новым дисплеем Infinity-O с соотношением сторон 19:9, который максимально увеличивает размер рабочей площади экрана. Боковые рамки стали ещё тоньше: по сравнению с Galaxy S9, верхняя рамка Galaxy S10 была уменьшена более чем в 3 раза.1 Чтобы наглядно убедиться, как Samsung трансформирует стандарты смартфонов с новым Galaxy S10, предлагаем ознакомиться с инфографикой (на иллюстрациях выше).
Для того, чтобы освободить ещё больше места на экране, Samsung встроил камеру Galaxy S10 в вырез на дисплее. Видеть больше, снимать больше

При 123 градусах новый 16-мегапиксельный сверхширокоугольный объектив задней камеры имеет поле зрения как у человеческого глаза. Он охватывает примерно в 4,3 раза большую площадь[3], чем широкоугольный объектив с углом обзора 77 градусов. Сверхширокоугольный объектив идеально подходит для съёмки пейзажей, крупных панорам (как горизонтальных, так и вертикальных), или просто для того, чтобы уместить всю семью в одном кадре.
Задняя камера каждой модели Galaxy S10 также включает в себя 12-мегапиксельный широкоугольный объектив с двойной диафрагмой и Super Speed Dual Pixel. Он сочетает в себе объектив с диафрагмой f/1.5 и f/2.4 и автоматически подстраивается под освещение, подобно нашим глазам. Galaxy S10+ использует две фронтальные камеры для поддержки режима Live Focus с новыми опциями добавления оттенков боке, масштабирования и цветовых эффектов. Наряду с этим фронтальная камера Galaxy S10 и S10e использует нейропроцессор.
Впервые на смартфоне применена функция стабилизации видео Super Steady. Она в 3 раза лучше, чем традиционные технологии выравнивания «дрожащих» кадров, что позволяет записывать плавное видео.
Технология динамического отображения тонов обеспечивает в 2,1 раза более широкий цветовой диапазон, чем SDR, и оптимизирует цвета для каждой сцены.
Модель Galaxy S10 5G объединяет в себе возможности камеры профессионального уровня, предлагая в общей сложности 6 объективов – 2 спереди и 4 сзади. В дополнение к объективам, представленным в Galaxy S10+, модель 5G оснащена линзой глубины 3D (3D-Depth) нового поколения. Она точно фиксирует глубину, измеряя время, необходимое для отражения инфракрасного светового сигнала, исходящего от объекта съёмки. When tested by the experts at DisplayMate, the Dynamic AMOLED display received a 0.4 Just Noticeable Color Difference (JNCD) score. An improvement on the Galaxy S9’s 0.7 JNCD rating, this score confirms the Galaxy S10’s exceptionally accurate color reproduction. The company’s latest groundbreaking display is also the first smartphone display in the world to support HDR10+: a next-generation open standard for high dynamic range (HDR) video. Beefed-Up Biometric Security

Embedded beneath the Dynamic AMOLED display is Samsung’s new, in-display Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner,4 which offers vault-like security to keep your device safe.
The scanner works by emitting ultrasonic waves that map the unique pattern of your fingerprint by sensing the tiny air gaps between your finger and the screen. That wave data is then sent back to the scanner and analyzed by the phone’s main chipset in order to determine whether it’s a match.
It works in the blink of an eye, and features 3D anti-spoofing technology that applies a machine learning-based algorithm to the on-screen fingerprint to offer a high level of security. This ensures that your phone will only open once it’s registered your physical fingerprint, and not an image of it. Its security is backed by the world’s first FIDO Alliance Biometric Component certification, and it’s been tested to work in the most challenging of conditions, including in sub-zero temperatures and under bright sunlight.

Hands-Free Convenience

Galaxy device users are used to asking Bixby to help them search the web, make a reservation, or launch an app when their hands are full. Now, Bixby’s new Voice Unlock4 feature allows you to activate and interact with Bixby when your phone is locked for an even more comfortable user experience.
Bixby Voice Unlock creates a convenient way to utilize Bixby when your phone is out of reach. Say you’re in the middle of making dinner and you need to double check exactly how much of a particular ingredient the recipe calls for. With Bixby Voice Unlock, rather than smudging up your screen with sauce and bits of food, you can simply say “Hi Bixby” to unlock your phone, and then ask Bixby to pull up the recipe for you.

Make Bixby Your Own

To offer users more freedom to utilize Bixby’s handy button, the Galaxy S10 introduces Bixby Key Customization.5 Now, you can customize the button to launch Bixby with either a single or double press, and map the other option to launch your favorite app or Quick command. It’s just another convenient way to make Bixby your own.
Speaking of Quick commands, Bixby’s update also makes it easy to share customized Quick commands with your friends.
Quick commands make using Bixby even more convenient by allowing you to replace one or more commands with a simple word or phrase. The opportunities for personalization are endless, and your Quick commands can also be saved as shortcut icons on your phone’s home screen for easy access.6 This is especially useful in situations when you’d rather not speak out loud. So for example, when you’re heading into a theater, if you tap the icon for your “Movie Time” Quick command, Bixby will instantly switch your phone to silent mode, turn on “Do not disturb,” reduce brightness completely, and turn off the screen so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the film without interruptions.
And now, with the Galaxy S10, if you’ve crafted the perfect Quick command and you want to send it to someone else, you can simply tap “share” to instantly send it as a link via text message or messaging app.7
