Впервые целый эпизод российского телешоу «Орёл и решка» сняли на смартфон. Это Samsung Galaxy Note20.

Samsung Electronics и российский развлекательный телеканал «Пятница» представляют новый эпизод популярного шоу «Орёл и решка. Чудеса света», который впервые был снят на смартфон. Съёмки проекта на устройства Galaxy Note20 длились 5 дней. Съёмочная группа использовала мобильные гаджеты Samsung чтобы запечатлеть самые живописные места Замбии: водопад Виктория, бассейн Дьявола на краю водопада, сафари в национальном парке “Моси Оа Тунья” и уникальное кафе со слонами.

Проект стал для команды сериала о путешествиях «Орёл и решка» первым опытом съёмки для телевидения на смартфон: до этого во всех выпусках этого шоу использовалось только профессиональное оборудование.

Перед поездкой в Африку съёмочная группа в течение месяца тестировала камеру Galaxy Note20 в разных условиях и убедилась, что смартфон отлично подходит для создания полного эпизода для федерального телевидения. Чтобы максимально реализовать потенциал мобильного устройства, операторы использовали стэдикамы, насадки с дополнительной оптикой, поляризационные и нейтральные фильтры, а также спортивный FPV-дрон.

Как отметил режиссёр проекта Иван Поляков, для бесперебойной работы в экстремально жарком климате съёмочная команда использовала несколько смартфонов Galaxy Note20. Это дало возможность снимать объекты с разных точек одновременно. На одном из устройств была установлена дополнительная оптика для фиксации крупных планов, что позволило ускорить работу. Отдельным преимуществом для съёмочной группы стала возможность сразу же просматривать отснятый материал на больших и ярких экранах смартфонов. По словам режиссёра, его особенно удивил и впечатлил обширный набор функций камеры Galaxy Note20, который позволил без дополнительных усилий реализовать сложную съёмку, включая эпизоды с перефокусировкой и таймлапс. Также прекрасно работала функция стабилизации при использовании как в руках, так и на квадракоптере.

Телешоу «Орёл и решка: Чудеса света» посвящено путешествию ведущих Антона Зайцева и Василисы Хвостовой по самым удивительным местам нашей планеты. По правилам программы один из них должен провести выходные в новом городе, потратив всего 100 долларов, а другой может воспользоваться неограниченной суммой, хранящейся на «золотой» банковской карте. Шоу выходит в эфир с 2011 года и уже трижды становилось лауреатом национальной телевизионной премии ТЭФИ.

Новый эпизод «Водопад "Виктория" (Замбия)» выйдет на телеканале «Пятница» и на официальном канале «Орёл и решка» на YouTube 28 декабря в 22:00 по московскому времени.

For the first time, a full episode of the Russian TV show "Heads and Tails" was filmed on a smartphone. This is the Samsung Galaxy Note20.

Samsung Electronics and the Russian entertainment channel "Пятница" ("Friday") present a new episode of the popular show "Heads and Tails. Wonders of the World", which was first filmed with a smartphone. Filming of the project on Galaxy Note20 devices lasted 5 days. The film crew used Samsung mobile gadgets to capture the most picturesque places in Zambia: Victoria Falls, Devil's Pool at the edge of the falls, a safari in "Mosi Oa Tunya" National Park and a unique cafe with elephants.

The project became the first experience of filming for television on a smartphone for the team of the travel series "Heads and Tails": before that, only professional equipment was used in all episodes of this show.

Before heading to Africa, the film crew tested the Galaxy Note20 camera under various conditions for a month and made sure that the smartphone is great for creating a complete episode for federal television. To maximize the potential of the mobile device, operators used steadicams, attachments with additional optics, polarizing filters, ND filters, and a sports FPV drone. As the project director Ivan Polyakov noted, the filming team used several Galaxy Note20 smartphones to ensure smooth operation in extremely hot climates. This made it possible to shoot objects from different points at the same time. On one of the devices, additional optics were installed to capture close-ups, which made it possible to speed up the work. A separate advantage for the film crew was the ability to immediately view footage on large and bright smartphone screens. According to the director, he was particularly surprised and impressed by the extensive feature set of the Galaxy Note20 camera, which made it possible to easily implement complex shooting, including refocusing scenes and time-lapse. The stabilization function also worked great when used both in hand and on a quadcopter.

According to the rules of the program, one of them must spend the weekend in a new city, spending only $100, while the other can use an unlimited amount stored on a "gold" bank card. The show has been on the air since 2011 and has already won the TEFI national television award three times.

The new episode titled "Victoria Falls (Zambia)" will air on Friday TV and on the official "Eagle and Tails" YouTube channel on December 28 at 22:00 Moscow time.

Для записи классических мелодий Samsung пригласил опытных музыкантов из консерваторий Южной Кореи, а для создания джазовых композиций была собрана группа отмеченных наградами музыкантов и композиторов из США.

Finding the Right Notes

From the subtle charging notification tones to the alarms, UX designers at Samsung carefully curated every aspect to bring a unified experience to users. Since Galaxy users come from all corners of the world, every rhythm and tone on the devices was chosen to reflect four universally recognizable themes that were first introduced with the Galaxy S20 series – Galaxy, Retro, Fun and Calm.2

Sounds on Galaxy devices are more than mere notifications. They also serve to elevate users’ daily lives. For the Galaxy Note20 and Galaxy Z Fold2, Samsung added five original Jazz tunes and another five classical pieces to the Calm theme with the hopes of bringing positivity to users’ everyday lives.

Putting the Pieces Together

Bringing the new music to life was a process that spanned the globe. For the classical pieces, Samsung invited seasoned musicians from conservatoires in South Korea to participate in the recording. The jazz recording session, meanwhile, brought together a group of award-winning musicians and composers in the U.S.

“The synergy in this project comes from the artistry of each individual,” said composer and horn player Jesse McGinty.

From the grand piano to the flugelhorn and even the harp, the new recordings were created with a rich tapestry of instruments.

“People from all around the world are going to use these devices. That’s why we wanted to use different instruments to reflect that diversity,” explained music director Sue Jin Sung.

Fueled by their passion to share music with Galaxy users, the musicians meticulously crafted every note to deliver warmth and comfort.

“Our ultimate goal was to create an intimate sound that’s calming and relaxing,” said sound engineer Byeong Joon Hwang.

Whenever the new songs play on Galaxy devices, McGinty hopes they can give users a break from the hassles of everyday life.

“You can take all this music with you everywhere you go,” said guitarist Matthew Yeakley. “They [can become] your own soundtrack.”

Специалисты ожидают, что Note20 будет оснащён усовершенствованным стилусом, 7-дюймовым экраном и сэлфи-камерой, спрятанной под дисплеем, что сделает устройство первым в мире полноэкранным смартфоном без отверстия или прорези. 
Между тем, на фоне ухудшения ситуации с распространением COVID-19 в США, есть опасения, что Apple может перенести выпуск своего первого 5G-смартфона iPhone 12 с сентября на декабрь. 
Согласно сообщениям в местных СМИ, вопреки всем корпоративным запретам, Apple впервые в своей истории позволила некоторым избранным сотрудникам, способным контролировать личную безопасность, работать над проектированием iPhone 12 и других новых устройств у себя на дому.

Samsung and Apple are trying to prevent a disruption in the release schedule of new smartphone models

The world’s two biggest smartphone makers Samsung Electronics and Apple are working on new products with the aim of meeting initially set launch schedules, despite rumors that tech companies are delaying plans amid the global coronavirus pandemic. 
According to industry sources on Wednesday, Samsung has begun to prepare for the launch event for its Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Fold 2 planned for August. 
Samsung was lucky to hold a flashy event to unveil its Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Z Flip in February by inviting hundreds of tech fans to San Francisco, before the new coronavirus outbreak gripped the world. It also held a similar event in Brazil in March. 
Unlike its US archrival Apple, whose employees based in Cupertino are working from home due to the COVID-19 lockdown, engineers and employees of Samsung’s mobile business are working in their offices and proceeding on schedule. 
“Preparations are underway for the upcoming Galaxy Note launch, and there is no delay,” said an industry insider. “But regarding a physical event, things are yet to be discussed, we are considering measures likes an online event.” 
Some rumors say Samsung could announce the new gadgets as early as July. 
Tipsters expect the Note 20 to come with an upgraded stylus-pen, a 7-inch screen and the under-display camera that would make the device the world’s first full-screen phone without a hole or notch. 
Meanwhile, as the COVID-19 situation worsens across the US, there are speculations that Apple could delay its first 5G-enbaled iPhone 12 from September to December. 
Unprecedentedly, Apple is allowing some selected employees, who can control security, to work on the iPhone 12 and other new devices for this year at home, according to news reports. 
Apple’s main iPhone maker Foxconn recently told its investors that it is trying to start shipping out iPhone 12 in fall as planned.
