23 августа Samsung Electronics открывает розничные продажи главной мобильной новинки 2-й половины 2019 года - Galaxy Note10. В родной Южной Корее Samsung получил более 1,3 миллиона заказов на приобретение флагманского смартфона Galaxy Note10 за 11 дней с момента запуска предзаказов на эти устройства, сообщает информационное агентсво Yonhap. Стартовый спрос на новинку оказался в 2 раза выше по сравнению с предшествующей моделью - Galaxy Note9, согласно заявлению вендора.
В сообщении Samsung говорится, что чаще всего пользователи заказывают 256-гигабайтную версию Galaxy Note10+ 5G в цвете "перламутровая аура"
Note10 имеет 6,3-дюймовый экран с разрешением 2280х1080 точек, а Note10+ - 6,8-дюймовый с разрешением 3040×1440 пикселей. В обоих случаях используется защитное стекло Corning Gorilla Glass 6 и применяется технология Curved Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O (с небольшим отверстием для сэлфи-камеры), что позволило увеличить полезную площадь дисплея до 91%.
Камера каждого смартфона состоит из 3-х модулей: основного (12Мп), телеобъектива (12Мп) и широкоугольного объектива (16Мп). Старшая версия также получила 3D-сканер объектов, умеющий создавать виртуальные копии для видеороликов, что ранее было доступно только профессиональным видеостудиям.
Рыночные аналитики говорят, что успех новейших флагманских моделей от Samsung обусловлен стремительным переходом южнокорейских пользователей мобильных устройств на аппарты с поддержкой стандарта беспроводной связи 5G. Всего за 4 месяца после запуска коммерческих сетей 5G в Южной Корее, количество владельцев таких смартфонов достигло 2-х миллионов.

В России Samsung Galaxy Note10/Note10+ поступят в продажу 23 августа. Рекомендованная розничная цена составит 90.000 рублей за Note10+ и 77.000 рублей за Note10 (оба без модуля 5G, так как в России развитие этого стандарта ультраскоростной связи сильно торомзится из-за отказа военных высвобождать необходимые радиочастоты). Смартфоны будут доступны в белом, чёрном и красном цветах, а также в цвете "перламутровая аура".

Preorders for Samsung's Galaxy Note 10 hit 1.3 mln units in South Korea

Samsung Electronics Co. said Tuesday that preorders for its latest phablet, the Galaxy Note 10, have topped 1 million units in South Korea.
On Aug. 9, the country's three mobile carriers -- SK Telecom Co., KT Corp. and LG Uplus Corp. -- began taking preorders for the tech giant's latest smartphone, which will officially hit the local market Friday.
The total number of preorders for the Galaxy Note 10 reached 1.3 million units, more than twofold the preorder number for the Galaxy Note 9, according to Samsung.
The Note 10 is Samsung's premium large-screen smartphone that comes with a stylus S-Pen, whose price tag is 1.2 million won (US$1,025) for a 6.3-inch display and 1.5 million won for a souped-up 6.8-inch screen.
The Note 10 will be Samsung's second 5G phone launched at home following the Galaxy S 10 5G, its flagship smartphone released in April in time for the commercial roll out of the ultrafast network in the nation.
The Note 10 features a hole-punch selfie camera to minimize the bezel on the screen and ditches the 3.5-millimeter headphone jack for the first time. Instead, it offers a USB-C dongle.
The standard model has three cameras on the back, and the plus model has an additional camera.
Samsung's 5G-only strategy in the domestic market comes as the world's largest handset maker is looking for ways to expand sales of premium phones to improve profits of its sluggish mobile division.
South Korea is a leading 5G market with over 2 million subscribers in four months of the network's launch, as local carriers have been aggressively promoting 5G mobile plans to lure customers in the early stage.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 to be powered by LG Chem batteries

Some of the latest flagship phones from tech giant Samsung Electronics will useLG Chem batteries, sources said Aug. 16.
LG Chem’s partnership with Samsung on the high-end Galaxy Note 10 lineup was unexpected as the LG Group affiliate is competing with Samsung SDI, a Samsung Group battery business unit, in the global battery sector for electric vehicles and mobile devices. LG Chem has provided batteries to Samsung before, but only for low- and midrange smartphones.
Samsung SDI and LG Chem will be the two battery suppliers for the Note 10, which will go on sale Aug. 23 in South Korea and the US. 
This decision indicates that LG Chem’s battery technology has entered the top echelon in the small-battery segment, according to an industry official. 
It has not been confirmed why Samsung chose LG Chem over competitors such as ATL and Murata Manufacturing, which used to be the primary battery providers for the tech giant’s top-tier smartphones.
Samsung has not acquired batteries from ATL since 2017, when defective batteries caused the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco.
Murata, on the other hand, is said to have focused on stabilizing its management and operations after it acquired Japanese tech firm Sony’s battery business in late 2017.
Both Samsung and LG Chem refused to confirm that they had teamed up on the Note 10. 
“Samsung does not confirm the details of components used in the firm’s products and their suppliers,” a Samsung spokesperson said.
Despite the rivalry between Samsung Group and LG Group - two of the largest conglomerates here - collaboration between their affiliates is not unusual.
Display manufacturer LG Display provided LCD TV panels to Samsung Electronics after display maker Sharp, acquired by Taiwanese tech firm Foxconn in early 2016, abruptly severed a partnership with Samsung later that year.
