На официальном сайте организации Wi-fi Alliance, которая тестирует и выдаёт сертификаты на пригодность устройства к беспроблемной эксплуатации, появились данные о выдаче "путёвки в жизнь" новому смартфону Samsung Galaxy A6+ (2018). Это означает, что аппарат должен появиться на рынке совсем скоро. Номер модели — SM-A605FN/DS, что указывает на версию с двумя SIM-кртами.
Согласно предварительным данным, аппарат будет выпускаться на однокристальной системе Qualcomm Snapdragon 625. Смартфон оснащён 6-дюймовым экраном с разрешением 2220х1080 пикселей, 4Гб ОЗУ и 32 Гб флэш-памяти.
Появившиеся незадолго до этого данные о базовой модели Galaxy A6 (2018) указывают на наличие фирменного процессора Exynos 7870, 3Гб ОЗУ, 32Гб флэш-памяти и 5,6-дюймового экрана с соотношением сторон 18:9 и разрешением 2220x1080 пикселей.

Samsung Galaxy A6+ (2018) gets Wi-Fi certification

The Samsung Galaxy A6+ (2018) has received a certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance, which suggests it will be released really soon.
The model number of the Galaxy A6+ (2018) is SM-A605FN/DS, signifying there will be a dual-SIM version.
A day ago the phone was spotted in a HTML5 test, which revealed it will have a tall-aspect Infinity Display.
The non-plus model will have a 5.6-inch 18:9 2220x1080px display, and an Exynos 7870 chipset with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage.
The Galaxy A6+ (2018) adds a few inches for a 6-inch diagonal of the same resolution, it gains 4GB of RAM and likely a Snapdragon 625 chipset.
When the two arrive it's rumored they'll be sold in Europe, Russia and the Middle East.

В качестве компенсации предустановлен ряд необходимых студентам приложений типа словаря, калькулятора и т.д., чтобы не отвлекать их от процесса обучения и полностью сосредоточится над самостоятельным решением поставленных экзаменаторами задач.
В смартфоне присутствуют стандартные камеры на 8 (основная) и 5 (сэлфи) мегапикселей, а также "старорежимная" мобильная связь 2G, позволяющая совершать звонки и отправлять SMS. Интерфейс устройства предельно упрощён, поэтому телефоном могут пользоваться пожилые люди, плохо разбирающиеся в устройстве современных гаджетов.  
Цена такой "эксклюзивной" новинки вовсе не копеечная - 185 долларов США. При этом в качестве бонуса Samsung предлагает всем студентам, купившим такую трубку до конца июня, вернуть потраченную сумму при условии покупки смартфонов премиальных и флагманских серий Galaxy A и Galaxy S по окончании экзаменационного периода, сообщает бизнес-портал The Investor.

Samsung releases budget phone with no data access

Samsung Electronics on April 13 released a new budget smartphone in Korea targeting students seeking to avoid distractions by restricting access to 3G and 4G networks as well as Wi-Fi.
The Korean tech giant said it has released the Galaxy J2 Pro, which supports basic features such as phone calls, text messages and cameras but cannot access the Internet. The model will not only be attractive to students but to seniors as well.
Samsung said the smartphone will still come with a dictionary application to help students find vocabulary words without having to access the web.
The smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter.
The device comes with 1GB RAM and a 2,600mAh replaceable battery. The data storage capacity stands at 16GB.
The Galaxy J2 Pro comes in black and gold colors with a price tag of 199,100 won (US$185).
Samsung Electronics said students purchasing the Galaxy J2 Pro through June will receive a full refund through a special promotion if they buy the upper-level Galaxy S or Galaxy A smartphones after the end of their college exams.

Размеры и основные параметры будущей новинки схожи с флагманским Galaxy S9, но при этом модель получила двойную камеру, как у его "старшего брата Galaxy S9+. В сети этот аппарат уже стали упоминать как Galaxy S9+ mini.
Напомним, что флагманы 2018 года отличаются не только размером дисплея, как это было у прошлогодних Galaxy S8 и S8+. Старшая модель Samsung Galaxy S9+ получила 6Гб ОЗУ, а обычный Galaxy S9 — только 4Гб. Кроме того, Galaxy S9+ стал обладателем двойной основной камеры 12+12 Мп, а Galaxy S9 — одинарной на 12 Мп. Аккумуляторы Galaxy S9 и Galaxy S9+ имеют объём 3000 и 3500 мАч, соответственно.
Что касается Samsung SM-G8850, то у нег имеется 5,8-дюймовый AMOLED-дисплей как у Galaxy S9, но без изогнутых краёв, процессор Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, версии с 4 и 6Гб ОЗУ, аккумулятор на 3000 мАч, а также двойная основная камера на 12 Мп. При этом камера размешена не по центру, а в левом верхнем углу, наподобие последних моделей iPhone. Такое решение позволило разместить сканер отпечатков пальцев дальше от камеры, что снижает риск загрязнения объективов.
Вероятнее всего две версии условного "Galaxy S9 mini" появятся на некоторых региональных рынках, включая Китай и страны Юго-Восточной Азии.

The possible younger sibling to the Galaxy S9 will feature a 5.8-inch Quad HD+ screen with dual rear cameras and Android Oreo

A week after surfacing on Geekbench with Android 8.0 Oreo and labelled as SM-G8750, the "Galaxy S9 Mini" pops up yet again but this time on Chinese certification website TENAA where it bears the model number SM-G8850, meaning we could be looking at two variants of the smartphone. 
Possibly available for the Chinese or Southeast Asian market, this version will come with a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD+ screen, just like the one on the Galaxy S9 with a resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels. The list reveals that the Galaxy S9 will be powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 9810 SoC and a Mali G72MP18 graphics unit with 4GB and 6GB RAM options. There has been no mention of the storage available onboard the S9 Mini but the device will have an option to expand to 400GB with the help of a microSD. 
The SM-G8850 is slated to feature a 12MP+12MP dual cameras at the back with an 8-megapixel autofocus front-facing snapper which a wide-angle lens. The device runs on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo interface and is dust and water resistant due to its IP68 rating. In terms of connectivity, the potential Galaxy S9 Mini will feature 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), NFC and GPS. The S9 Mini will be powered by a smaller 3,000mAh battery but will still come with fast charging which has been the norm. 
With the certification already done, it might just be a few weeks’ time till the South Korean giant announces the launch of what we think might be the Galaxy S9 Mini. But even if it’s not, we can expect an Infinity display on the SM-G8850 since bezel-less displays don’t just belong to the high-end devices of Samsung anymore. The device will be available in two colours Blue and Black when it gears up for a launch.

First Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo render appears

Recently we learned the mysterious SM-J720F phone is actually going to be called Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo and is bound to arrive in India. Now, the first press render of the phone popped up, showing a fairly standard standard Galaxy J series design.

The front panel of the Galaxy J7 Duo hosts a standard 16:9 screen, a physical home key below and capacitive buttons in the newer Samsung Experience designs. The selfie camera is coming with an LED flash for all the selfies in low-light environment.

Looking on the left side there's no Bixby button, with Samsung seemingly reserving that for its flagship Galaxy S series. Bixby is still coming though as shown by a leaked manual. Other rumored specs of the Galaxy J7 Duo suggested Exynos 7885 SoC, 3Gb RAM, Android Oreo and dual cameras on the back.

Судя по тенденции последних месяцев, безрамочный дизайн теперь перекочует из флагманских моделей S-серии в премиальные девайсы серии A.
Объём ОЗУ, согласно предварительным данным, будет составлять 3Гб. Диагональ экрана, предположительно, составит 5,5 дюймов, а сам дисплей изготовлен по фирменной технологии Super AMOLED. Что касается объёма постоянной памяти, то он составит 32Гб с возможностью расширения с помощью карт MicroSD.
Другие спецификации аппарата пока неизвестны, поскольку Wi-Fi Alliance публикует ограниченное количество данных, касающихся, в основном, характеристик модулей беспроводной связи.
Профильные СМИ также сообщают о подготовке к массовому производству старшей модификации Galaxy A6+, получившей маркировку SM-A605G. В отличие от базовой версии она демонстрирует более высокие технические параметры: процессор Snapdragon 625 и 4Гб ОЗУ.

Samsung Galaxy A6 Certified by Wi-Fi Alliance

It seems that Samsung is planning to launch a brand new mid-range smartphone this year: Samsung Galaxy A6. After two alleged variants of this handset were spotted on Geekbench, the device has been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance. This official certification confirms its existence and lets us know that it will probably launch soon. Unfortunately, Wi-Fi Alliance did not reveal any of the specs of this upcoming device, so it is still shrouded in the mystery.
According to Wi-Fi Alliance, Samsung Galaxy A6 has the model number SM-A600FN and Android 8.0 Oreo is installed, so it will come out of the box. No more info has been revealed, but thanks to the previous Geekbench leak we already know a few details about its specs. Even though it will be called A6, according to Geekbench it will have lower-end specs than the Galaxy A5 (2017). Under the hood, the handset sports an octa-core Samsung Exynos 7870 SoC which is also present on the Galaxy A3 (2017) and some devices of the Galaxy J series. Samsung Exynos 7870 is an octa-core chipset composed of eight Cortex-A53 CPUs; it also includes a Mali T830 MP1 GPU.
The SoC will be paired with 3GB of RAM, while the internal storage is not known yet.
According to the benchmarking platform, a Plus version of this device will be released as well and it will bring the code name SM-A605G. Unlike the standard version, this one seems better than the Galaxy A5. The A6+ will sport an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor unlike most of Samsung midranges, and 4GB of RAM.

Samsung Display bets big on full-screen display for upscale push

Samsung Display is extending its marquee full-screen display design to mid-range smartphones as part of efforts to further improve profitability, according to industry sources on Feb. 20.
The display-making unit of Samsung Electronics has adopted the full-screen display design for high-end flexible OLED smartphones like the current Galaxy S8 but it plans to adopt the technology to other mid-tier models with rigid OLED screens.
Flexible OLED allows device makers more leeway in design but has been used mostly for premium models as it is more expensive than the rigid counterpart. 
With the wider adoption of the full-screen design, Samsung Display, which dominates more than 95 percent of the mobile OLED market, plans to further improve profitability overall and widen the gap with fast-growing Chinese runner-ups. 
According to market research firm IHS, Samsung Display made up 97.8 percent of the smartphone OLED market globally in the third quarter last year. 
Global smartphone makers are increasingly adopting OLED displays -- both flexible and rigid types -- for more models this year, following the suit of Apple that launched its first OLED iPhone last year. For now, Samsung Display is the sole supplier for the current iPhone X. Samsung Electronics uses OLED for almost 70 percent of smartphone models. 
In a bid to fend off the challenges by Chinese competitors, the Korean display maker aims to diversify its client base for smartphone OLED displays this year while putting focus on large-sized premium products in the TV segment, according to the official.
In the TV sector, Samsung is expected to maximize profits by pushing for large-sized LCD panels, measuring 55 inches and 65 inches or larger, to cater to the needs of customers during global sports events, such as the World Cup 2018, scheduled to be held in Russia in June.
In order to respond to the exponential growth of curved-screen monitors in the PC gaming industry, the display firm will also beef up its marketing efforts for 32-inch and 49-inch monitors, featuring an 1800R curvature, meaning the radius would be 1,800 millimeters when the edges are extended to form a circle.
Some of other OLED products under the display firm’s portfolio include those for foldable smartphones, vehicles and laptops.

Объём ОЗУ - 2Гб. В качестве программной платформы "из коробки" заявлена Android 8.0 Oreo. Другие детали, к сожалению, не раскрыты.
Характеристики аппарат указывают на то, что в случае выхода на коммерческий рынок SM-J400F пополнит ассортимент бюджетных смартфонов Samsung.

Upcoming Samsung Galaxy J4 (2018) pops up in a benchmark

It bears the model number SM-J400, and its existence has been revealed by the Geekbench database. The benchmark run that a prototype was put through helpfully tells us a couple of things about the phone.
It's powered by the Exynos 7570 chipset, an entry-level part announced in 2016. It is built on the 14nm process, making it quite power efficient, and comes with four Cortex-A53 cores, clocked at up to 1.43 GHz in the J4. Given what the SoC supports, screen resolution will be 720p tops.
The handset is endowed with 2GB of RAM, and it runs Android 8.0 Oreo already. Thus it will probably end up being among the first lower-end Samsung phones to ship with Oreo.

Аппарат построен на фирменном процессоре Exynos 7870. Чип содержит 8 ядер ARM Cortex-A53 с тактовой частотой до 1,6 ГГц, графический контроллер Mali-T830 и модем LTE Category 6 со скоростью загрузки данных до 300 Мбит/с.

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy On7 Prime (2018) as a successor for its 2017 model. Apart from mid-range specs, the Galaxy On7 Prime (2018) comes with exciting features like Samsung Mall image search app and Samsung Pay Mini.

Specifications and Features

The Galaxy On7 Prime (2018) is fitted with a 5.5-inch PLS TFT LCD display that carries support for full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Exynos 7870 chipset that powers the predecessor model is also present under the hood of its 2018 edition. The 32 GB and 64 GB storage variants of the Galaxy On7 Prime (2018) respectively feature 3 GB and 4 GB of RAM. The handset also includes a microSD card slot.
An autofocus enabled 13-megapixel camera with f/1.9 aperture is present on the rear side of the phone. The frontside of the phone bears the same camera sensor, albeit the autofocus feature. It is preloaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS that is overlaid with Samsung Experience 8.5 UI. Samsung Mall, an image search app available on the smartphone allow users to snap an image of a product or use an image of a product from the gallery and search for it across different online shopping websites like Amazon, Jabong, ShopClues and TataCliq. Samsung Mall users can add products that they wish to buy to a universal cart through which users will not be required to visit each e-commerce sites individually. The All-in-one Shopping feature offers a single interface to view products from multiple shopping sites. Samsung Pay Mini supports payments through UPI and mobile wallets.
The Galaxy On7 Prime (2018) comes with connectivity features like 3.5mm audio jack, microUSB, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G VoLTE and dual SIM support. It has an impressive appeal as it features a metal unibody chassis. It measures 151.7 x 75 x 8mm and it weighs 167 grams.

Pricing and Availability (for the indian market)

The Galaxy On7 Prime (2018) will be exclusively available through Amazon India and Samsung Shop from Jan. 20. The 32 GB and 64 GB models of the smartphone are respectively priced Rs. 12,990 and Rs. 14,990. It will be available in color choices like Gold and Black. As far as launch offers are concerned, Jio Money users will be getting a cashback of Rs. 2,000 for buyers who purchase the Rs. 299 recharges for 24 months.

Samsung Introduces the New Notebook 7 Spin (2018), a Flexible PC for Everyday Users

Samsung Electronics today announced the Samsung Notebook 7 Spin (2018), a versatile notebook that provides consumers with the accessibility needed to remain productive in today’s digital world.
Designed for working professionals, students and those looking for entertainment, the Notebook 7 Spin (2018) offers modern features including a 360-degree touchscreen for added convenience; an Active Pen (sold separately) for quick and easy note-taking; as well as the power and performance for more efficient multi-tasking.

At CES 2018, Samsung will showcase the new Notebook 7 Spin (2018) and a variety of features that allow consumers to work wherever, whenever and however they want while staying secure. These features include:

Samsung Mobile и China Telecom представили на китайском рынке смартфон W2018, о котором мы уже упоминали ранее. Новейший премиальный флип-фон с топовыми характеристиками, больше известный в народе как «раскладушка», ознаменовал 25-летие присутствия корпорации Samsung на китайском рынке.
В качестве аппаратной основы Samsung W2018 выступает SoC Snapdragon 835. Объём ОЗУ составляет 6Гб. Покупателям на выбор предложены варианты с 64 и 256Гб флэш-памяти.
Смартфон оснащён двумя сенсорными экранами AMOLED размером 4,2 дюйма и разрешением Full HD.
В W2018 предустановлен интеллектуальный голосовой помощник Bixby с поддержкой китайского языка. Но особого внимания заслуживают камеры.
Основная камера с разрешением 12Мп располагает оптической системой с диафрагмой F/1,5, что явлется рекордным показателем среди компактных фотомодулей для смартфонов. Но это не всё — при чрезмерно высоком уровне освещения диафрагма может автоматически прикрываться до F/2,4, увеличивая глубину резко изображаемого пространства.
Камера оснащена стабилизатором и поддерживает съёмку видео в формате 4K с кадровой частотой 30 к/с. Фронтальная камера с разрешением 5Мп получила объектив с диафрагмой F/1,9, что также весьма неплохо.
Ёмкость аккумуляторной батареи, установленной в Samsung W2018 составляет 2300 мА∙ч. Смартфон оснащён портом USB-C и двумя слотами для SIM-карт. Он работает под управлением ОС Nougat 7.1.1.
Предполагаемая цена базовой чёрной версии Samsung W2018 определена на уровне 2000 евро. Кроме того, будут доступны люксовые золотистый и серебристый варианты, выпущенные лимитированными партиями по ориентировочной цене 2.400 евро.

Samsung W2018 Flip Phone With Bixby Integration and F/1.5 Camera Lens Launched

Samsung has announced the W2018 as its new high-end Android flip phone in China. The South Korean company has partnered with China Telecom to launch the new smartphone on its 25th anniversary in the country. The new smartphone is the successor to the W2017 that was unveiled last year with a dual-display setup and a fingerprint scanner.
As showcased at an event in Xiamen, China last week, reported by Chinese news agency Sina, the Samsung W2018 features two 4.2-inch AMOLED display panels with full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, paired with Adreno 540 GPU and 6GB of RAM. Further, Samsung has provided 64GB and 256GB storage options along with microSD card support (up to 256GB). The handset runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with a proprietary skin on top and offers Bixby virtual assistant support in Chinese.
The Samsung W2018 sports a 12-megapixel camera sensor on the back with a largest, f/1.5 aperture lens - the largest seen yet on a smartphone camera. There is also optical image stabilisation (OIS) support to reduce blurs even when the shots are captured with some jerks or shakes. Moreover, the handset has a 5-megapixel camera sensor on the front with f/1.9 lens. The back camera sensor also supports 4K video recording, while the front sensor has full-HD (1080p) support.
Samsung has opted for a hybrid dual-SIM configuration on the W2018 with two Nano-SIM card options and microSD card support. The smartphone packs a 2300mAh battery and includes a fingerprint scanner as well as a heart rate sensor. In terms of connectivity, there is 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C.
The Samsung W2018 comes with a 3D glass and metal design and has been made available in Gold and Silver colour options.
Price and availability details about the Samsung W2018 are yet to be announced. However, considering the previous models (including the W2017 and W2016), the new smartphone is expected to come with a premium price tag and be exclusive to the Chinese market.

Совместное предприятие Renault Samsung Motors (создано на базе компании Samsung Motors в 2000-м году), контрольный пакет акций которого принадлежит французской Renault Group, а доля Samsung составляет порядка 20%, сегодня представило полностью электрический автомобиль (EV) SM3 ZE в рамках своей стратегии выхода на новый рынок экологически чистых транспортных средств.
Презентацию, состоявшуюся в рамках международной выставки Auto Expo в Тэгу, вёл старший вице-президент Renault Group Жиль Норманд.
По словам представителей вендора, SM3 ZE - единственный EV-седан среднего класса на южнокорейском рынке, который является самой роскошной электрической моделью в линейке Renault.
Было также отмечено, что благодаря выдающейся автономии (увеличенной дистанции пробега на одном заряде аккумулятора) и хорошей эргономике внутреннего пространства, новый электромобиль, скорее всего, понравится не только частным покупателям, но и правительственным структурам. Примерно 1200 машин были заказаны Министерством здравоохранения и социального обеспечения  в апреле этого года для общественного использования, а также значительно число электромобилей от Renault Samsung будет эксплуатироваться в качестве такси в крупнейших городах Южной Кореи - Сеуле и Тэгу, а также на курортном острове Чеджу.
В новом SM3 ZE на 57% увеличена дистанция пробега на одном заряде по сравнению с прошлой моделью и теперь достигает 213 километров, что является выдающимся показателем в этом сегменте EV-автомобилей.
Учитывая среднесуточный пробег в 40 километров, который был определён Корейским управлением безопасности транспорта в прошлом году, SM3 ZE может работать на одной подзарядке в течение примерно 5-ти дней.
Ёмкость батареи также была улучшена на 63% без увеличения веса и теперь составляет порядка 35,9 кВт/ч.
По словам официальных представителей Renault Samsung, даже при таких значительных улучшениях, нена новой модели будет сохранена на уровне предыдущей (30 миллионов южнокорейских вон). Цена премиальной версии SM3 SE составит 39, миллиона вон, а модификация класса люкс обойдётся покупателям в 41,5 миллиона, включая НДС.

Renault Samsung unveils new EV sedan

Renault Samsung Motors, the Korean unit of the French carmaker, on Nov. 23 introduced the new full-electric vehicle, SM3 Z.E., as part of its strategy to tap into the new market of green cars here. 
The presentation was made by the group‘s Senior Vice President Gilles Normand at Daegu International Future Auto Expo held for four days from Nov. 22 at Daegu EXPO.
As Korea’s only sub mid-sized EV sedan, SM3 Z.E. represents the most luxurious model among all EVs sold by Renault, incorporating leading EV technologies, according to company officials.
The company added that due to the outstanding autonomy and spacious interior space, the new vehicle is likely to appeal not only to personal passengers but also to government demands. Some 1,200 units of the model were purchased by the Ministry of Health and Welfare this April for public use and also a considerable number are to be operated as EV taxis in Seoul, Daegu and Jeju Island.
The new SM3 Z.E. has increased its autonomy by 57 percent from the previous model, to 213 kilometers, which is the longest record in the EV segment. Given the average daily autonomy of 40 kilometers as tallied by the Korea Transportation Safety Authority in 2016, the new SM3 Z.E. can run for about five days upon a single charge.
The battery has also been improved by 63 percent for a total output of 35.9 kilowatt per hour without any increase in weight.
Even with such improvements, the price of the new model will be maintained at its current 30 million won level, officials said. The price of the SM3 Z.E. by trim is 39.5 million for the lower SE model and 41.5 million for the luxury RE trim, VAT included.

В России стартовали продажи новой линейки UHD-телевизоров Samsung серии Q6, на которую производитель делает особую ставку в пиковый предновогодний сезон.

6 Features to Consider Before Buying Your Next Premium TV

The holiday season is just around the corner, and many shoppers will be placing a premium TV on the top of their wish list. When it comes to buying a new TV, consumers have traditionally focused on two key points: how big it is, and how much it costs. These days, however, we’re seeing increasing demand for UHD-quality TVs as consumers gain a better understanding of the features that really matter when it comes to increasing immersion.

1.Color Volume

What it is: A standard for evaluating a TV’s ability to produce accurate colors at all luminance levels. The higher the color volume, the better the TV will be at expressing vivid, accurate colors.
Why it matters: Manufacturers in the fiercely competitive TV industry are constantly exploring ways to deliver standout picture quality. The difference between HDR and the preceding SDR (standard dynamic range) standard is night and day, as HDR allows details that might be lost in shadows or glare when depicted on an SDR TV to truly stand out.

3.Refresh Rate

What it is: A TV’s refresh rate, expressed in hertz (Hz), is the number of times that an image on the screen is refreshed per second. The higher the hertz, the smoother the picture.
Why it matters: The standard refresh rate for TVs today is 60Hz, or 60 times per second, with 120Hz and 144Hz representing the higher end of the spectrum. Why it matters: Higher-quality HDMI cables generally support higher data transfer speeds (measured in gigabytes per second), providing more bandwidth to enjoy 4K UHD and HDR content. Как сообщает технопортал ETnews, новый аппарат должен быть представлен в рамках крупнейшей выставки потребительской электроники CES 2018, которая стартует 9 января в Лас-Вегасе (США, штат Невада). Источники утверждают, что ориентировочная цена A5 составит 446 долларов, а на прилавки южнокорейских магазинов он поступит уже в середине месяца, то есть, через неделю после презентации.
Ожидается, что Galaxy A5 (2018) по своим характеристикам вплотную приблизится к флагманским смартфонам Samsung, но по вдвое меньшей цене. Предварительные утечки от отраслевых информаторов утверждают, что аппарат получит ставший культовым Infinity Display, который ранее устанавливался только во флагманские модели. Соотношение сторон 5,5-дюймового OLED-экрана также будет повторять флагманский форм-фактор (18,5:9), а лицевая сторона смартфона будет иметь минимальные рамки.

Samsung Electronics to Release Galaxy A5 in the Middle of January of 2018

Samsung Electronics is going to start its 2018 Smartphone business by releasing ‘Galaxy A5 (2018)’ in South Korea in the middle of January.
Samsung Electronics is going to officially release its middle-priced Smartphone ‘2018 Galaxy A5 (SM-A530N)’ in January. Galaxy A5 (2018) will be released by all three South Korean mobile network providers and it is likely that it will cost middle-end of 500,000 KRW ($446). Before its official release, Samsung Electronics is going to introduce Galaxy A5 at ‘CES 2018’, which will be held for four days in Las Vegas starting from the 9th of January.
It is expected that Galaxy A5 (2018) will look most similar to a premium Smartphone compared to all Galaxy A series that were released before.
It is going to be equipped with Infinity Display, which was first applied to Galaxy S8, and it will have 18.5:9 screen and almost no bezel. Size of its screen will be 5.5 inches and it will be a flat screen and not an edge screen. These specifications are almost similar to that of Galaxy S8 Active that was released in the U.S. Location of its fingerprint recognition sensor is moved below of its rear camera as its home button is removed.
It uses Exynos 7885 as its mobile application processor (AP), which is considered as a brain of a Smartphone, and it is equipped with 4GB RAM, 32GB internal memory, and 16MP front and rear cameras. It features IP68-rated water and dust resistance and Samsung Pay and it has a 3,300mAh battery that is a larger capacity than its previous model.
Features that draw the most attention are its Bixby Voice and FM radio function. It is heard that Samsung Electronics applied Bixby Home to Galaxy A7 (2017) and that Galaxy A5 (2018) will be the first Galaxy A series to support Bixby Voice. One will be able to control services through his or her voice by using a button exclusively for Bixby. It is likely that one will be able to listen to FM radio through Galaxy A5 (2018) without using any data.
Many predict that sales volume of Galaxy A5 (2018) will be higher than that of previous Galaxy A series as consumers will select Galaxy A series over other expensive premium Smartphones due to financial burdens.
“Price of this year’s popular premium Smartphones surpassed $892 (1 million KRW).” said a representative for a mobile network provider. “There is a high chance that consumers will select Galaxy A5 (2018) that is equipped with premium functions and has affordable price.”

Новая модель получила маркирову A530N, о чём свидетельствуют документы FCC, но технические характеристики в них отсутствуют, за исключением того, что устройство работает в двух диапазонах Wi-Fi.
Согласно предварительным данным, смартфон получит дисплей с соотношением сторон 18,5:9, как у флагманских Galaxy S и Galaxy Note. Портал GSMarena сообщает, что дактилоскоп перенесён инженерами Samsung на тыльную сторону аппарата, под основную камеру. Смартфон базируется на SoC Exynos 7885 и оснащён 4Гб ОЗУ.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) swings by FCC ahead of imminent launch

The Galaxy A series typically have their market debut around the turn of the year and the next additions will make no exception. Among intensifying leaks, the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) has gone by the FCC to pick up its US sales license.
The listing didn’t bring us any updates on the specs of the device, which has the model designation A530N, outside of its dual-band Wi-Fi support but that was always an easy guess. It also confirmed that the Galaxy A5 (2018) will have an e-label for its FCC-mandated disclaimers, which should help get rid of a few ugly icons on the back of the phone.
Still, thanks to previous leaks we know the 2018 editions of the A-series handsets will come with taller 18.5:9 ratio displays to catch up to the flagship Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series. They will also feature rear-mounted fingerprint sensors, but they’ll be located under the camera, which seems more convenient than what the more premium series have.
A benchmark listing that surfaced earlier confirmed the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) will be powered by the Exynos 7885 chipset with 4GB of RAM and a 5.5” display of 1080 x 2160 pixel resolution.

Совместное предприятие Renault Samsung Motors, базирующееся в Южной Корее, 3 ноября объявило, что в ближайшее время продемонстрирует свой новейший электромобиль SM3 ZE (2018), который может проехать до 213 километров на одной подзарядке.
Разработчикам SM3 ZE удалось увеличить пробег электрокара со 135 километров, которым могла похвастаться предыдущая модель. По словам представителей компании, это самая длинная дистанция, покрываемая EV-автомобилем среднего размера. Нарастить длину пробега удалось за счёт увеличения ёмкости аккумулятора до 35,9 кВтч, что на 63% больше, чем было ранее. При этом вес самой батареи не увеличился.   
Дизайн новой модели также был модернизирован, а цветовая гамма представлена в четырёх вариантах: "городской серый", "сплошной белый", "ультра серебряный" и "облачный жемчуг".
Как отмечает бизнес-портал The Investor, интерьер стал более роскошным благодаря применению новых отделочных материалов, а также улучшен дизайн кожаных сидений.
Кроме того, Renault Samsung изменит условия гарантии на аккумулятор в лучшую сторону, предложив обслуживание в течение 8 лет или 160.000 километров пробега.
Цена на SM3 ZE будет объявлена на выставке Daegu EV Expo 23 ноября. Новинка должна поступить в продажу в 2018-м году.
Напомним, что СП Renault Samsung было создано на базе компании Samsung Motors в 2000-м году после того как конгломерат Samsung Group продал контрольный пакет акций французскому автоконцерну Renault. Тем не менее Samsung оставил за собой порядка 20% акций предприятия с правом совещательного голоса. Кроме того, южнокорейский техногигант получает дивиденды от Renault за право использования своей торговой марки на территории Южной Кореи.

Renault Samsung to showcase new EV

Renault Samsung Motors announced on Nov. 2 that it will showcase its latest electric vehicle SM3 ZE, which can run up to 213 km on a single charge, this month.
The travelling distance of the new SM3 ZE has increased from 135 km and according to the automaker, it is the longest range among locally produced midsized electric cars due to an increase in battery capacity to 35.9 kWh - 63 percent higher than before without increasing the weight.
The new model’s exterior has also been upgraded with thick chrome lines and a glossy black radiator grill. The body color is new with four color options that include urban gray, solid white, ultra silver and cloud pearl. 
The interior has added luxury with an all-bristled pattern grain and black matte paint, and the leather seat design has also been improved
In addition, Renault Samsung has changed its warranty conditions from 70 percent battery capacity within seven years or less than 140,000 km to eight years or 160,000 km.
The price of the 2018 SM3 ZE will be revealed at Daegu EV Expo on Nov. 23.
