Еврокомиссия признала Samsung Electronics лучшим партнёром хайтэк-стартапов

Недавно корпорация Samsung Electronics была признана Европейской Комиссией (ЕК - высший управляющий орган Евросоюза) самым активным сторонником развития и поддержки местных стартапов. Это стало известно в ходе официальной церемонии награждения победителей Европейского корпоративного стартап-партнёрства (Startup Europe Partnership или сокращённо SEP), которая проходила в Брюсселе (Бельгия).
Startup Europe Partnership - это платформа, созданная Европейской комиссией в 2014-м году с целью активизации европейских стартапов посредством стратегического партнёрства с глобальными корпорациями. Два партнёра-основателя SEP, консалтинговая фирма Mind the Bridge, базирующаяся в Италии и США, и британский инновационный фонд Nesta, ежегодно проводят специальные мероприятия SEP, чтобы продемонстрировать лучшие модели корпоративного сотрудничества.
Награда SEP Corporate Startup Stars Awards имеет 7 категорий, включая «Ускоритель», «Закупки», «Инвестиции», «Слияния и поглощения», «Подход открытых инноваций». Среди всех действующих игроов со стороны крупнейших корпораций, Samsung занял 1-е место в рейтинге, получив наиболее престижные награды - «SEP Europe’s Corporate Startup Stars». По итогам 2018 года транснациональный гигант признан сотрудниками европейских стартап-проектов как самый дружелюбный партнёр, обеспечивающий стабильную финансовую и техническую поддержку сообществ учёных-предпринимателей, решивших начать собственной дело в области хайтэка.

Investing over $200 million to accelerate the growth of startups across the world

Samsung Electronics was recognized as the most active supporter of European startups at an official ceremony of the Startup Europe Partnership (SEP) Corporate Startup Stars, a pan-European award to honor the most proactive corporate supporters of Europe’s young companies, held recently in Brussels, Belgium.
Startup Europe Partnership is a platform established by the European Commission in 2014 with an aim to scale up Europe’s startups through strategic partnerships with global corporations. Two of SEP’s founding partners, an open innovation advisory firm Mind the Bridge based in Italy and the United States and a British innovation foundation Nesta, hold the SEP Corporate Startup Stars annually to showcase the best models of corporate-startup collaboration.
SEP Corporate Startup Stars Awards has seven award categories including ‘Accelerator’, ‘Procurement’, ‘Investment’, ‘M&A’ and ‘Open Innovation Approach’. Among these, Samsung ranked first for the highest award – ‘SEP Europe’s Corporate Startup Stars’ – this year, acknowledged among local startups in the continent as the friendliest and the most rigorous supporter in terms of company acceleration, procurement and investments.

Samsung became the winner of the contest "Leaders of Corporate Charity - 2018"

Samsung became the winner in the contest of charity programs "Leaders of Corporate Charity-2018". The project “Samsung IoT Academy” took the 3rd place in the category “The best program (project) that promotes the development of education in Russia”. The Corporate Leadership Charity Contest, aimed at supporting and developing the corporate charity idea and promoting it in the business community, is annually held by the Donors Forum non-profit partnership, the international audit and consulting network PwC and the Vedomosti newspaper.
The Samsung IoT Academy Award was the 5th Samsung Electronics win in the Corporate Responsibility Leaders competition. Last year, the project “Living Pages”, implemented with the support of the corporation, won a prize in the category “The best program (project) aimed at supporting contemporary art and culture in Russia”. Previously, experts awarded the educational projects “UchimZnaem” and “SAMSUNG IT SCHOOL”, and the literary award “Yasnaya Polyana” was recognized as the best project aimed at supporting art and culture.

Samsung признан одним из лучших работодателей во Вьетнаме

С апреля 2009 года число сотрудников, работающих на вьетнамских предприятиях Samsung Electronics превышает 100.000. В настоящее время во Вьетнаме действует 2 крупных объекта транснациональной корпорации: завод Samsung Electronics Vietnam, SEV в промышленной зоне Йен Фонг (провинция Бак-Нинь) и Samsung Electronics Vietnam - Thai Nguyen, SEVT в районе Йен Пхо (провинций Тай-Нгуэн).
В этом году SEV и SEVT попали в список "Предприятия с наилучшими условиями для работников 2017", в который стремились попасть 74 компании со всего Вьетнама. Все номинанты предприняли немалые усилия в стремлении к устойчивому развитию, предоставляя благоприятную среду для своих сотрудников.
Оба предприятия южнокорейской корпорации вошли в число 30 крупнейших компаний, получивших Сертификат от Вьетнамской конфедерации труда (VGSL) за  выдающиеся достижения в сфере организации рабочей среды.
Рейтинг "Предприятия для рабочих" основан на определённом наборе критериев, по которым определяются лучшие работодатели. Особый приоритет отдаётся тем, которые обеспечивают высокий уровень охраны труда (в том числе медобслуживание) и благосостояния работников (проще говоря, высокие зарплаты), а также соблюдает действующее трудовое законодательство.
Важным фактором также является наличие профессионального обучения, которое даёт возможность карьерного роста.
Сертификат Вьетнамской конфедерации труда присуждается не только за особые заслуги в сфере обеспечения интересов работников. Лауреаты, в числе которых находятся SEV и SEVT также были признаны компаниями, которые демонстрируют приверженность тому, что люди являются основной ценностью и движущей силой развития.
На церемонии вручения, состоявшейся 29 ноября в Ханое, получили Сертификаты и почётные награды за выдающиеся заслуги в сфере охраны труда от вице-президента Вьетнама и председателя Вьетнамского Отечественного фронта.

Samsung Electronics Recognized in Vietnam as One of the Best Enterprises for Employees

In operation since April 2009, Samsung Electronics in Vietnam has more than 100,000 employees working across its manufacturing facilities in the Yen Phong Industrial Zone in Bac Ninh Province (Samsung Electronics Vietnam; SEV) and Pho Yen District in Thai Nguyen Province (Samsung Electronics Vietnam – Thai Nguyen; SEVT).
This year, both SEV and SEVT made Vietnam’s “Enterprises for Laborers (Doanh nghiệp vì người lao động) 2017” list, which honored 74 companies across Vietnam that strived to achieve sustainable development by providing a positive work environment for their employees. Both entities were also among the top 30 companies that were awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) for their outstanding achievement.
The “Enterprises for Laborers” rating is based on a specific set of criteria developed by labor and trade experts. The criteria ensure a close reflection of the actual use and treatment of employees in the company in a wide range of standards from vocational training to mental well-being. Special priority is given to enterprises that have better welfare for employees and implementation of laws in place. The listed companies are also consulted on various aspects with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA).
The Certificate of Merit is awarded to companies that achieved outstanding results in taking care of the well-being of their employees, in addition to protecting their legitimate rights and interests. The awardees, including SEV and SEVT, were recognized as companies that exemplify their belief that humans are the core value and the driving force for the development of enterprises.

Recognized for Professional and Healthy Environment for Employees

In the awards ceremony held in Hanoi on November 29, 2017, the representatives of SEV and SEVT were given the Certificate of Merit and its trophy by Madam Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, Vice President of Vietnam and Mr. Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Samsung in Vietnam provides a professional and healthy environment for its employees that ensures their well-being. Among the various benefits SEV provides for employees, the company was in particular recognized for its maternity support, including special treatment for pregnant employees. Сразу 3 линейки стиральных машин Samsung получили награды «Ergonomic Design Award»

Samsung - признанный мировой лидер в производстве различных видов электроники и бытовой техники. В очередной раз это было доказано на Азиатской конференции по эргономике и дизайну (ACED), которая проходила в столице Японии Токио.
ACED, созданная в 2014-м году, является международной организацией, объединяющей ведущих специалистов в области эргономики и дизайна. Конференция ACED проводится раз в 3 года и тогда же вручаются награды победителям.
Samsung отличился в этом году особо, так как все последние линейки стиральных машин этой марки (Activ dualwash, AddWash и FlexWash) получили престижные награды ACED.
Как отмечается в официальном пресс-релизе вендора, эти продукты разработаны на основе тщательного анализа запросов потребителей, благодаря чему стиральные машины Samsung завоевали глобальную популярность и уже были отмечены целым букетом различных наград. Например, самая новая линейка FlexWash была признана "Лучшей из лучших в дизайне и эргономике" в Южной Корее, получив награду от местного общества Ergonomic Society of Korea (ESK). Продукты Samsung были также неоднократно отмечены на ведущих международных выставках IFA (Германия) и CES (США).

Samsung Washing Machines Win “Ergonomic Design Award” at the Asian Conference on Ergonomics and Design

Samsung Electronics today announced that its activ dualwashTM, AddWashTM and FlexWashTM washing machines have been honored with the Ergonomic Design Award at the Asian Conference on Ergonomics and Design (ACED) in Tokyo, Japan. Developed based on in-depth consumer behavior analysis, the Samsung washing machines have gained rapid global popularity, as well as various industry accolades.
The ACED, established in 2014 and held every three years, is the international organization for ergonomics and design. For this year’s conference, the organization selected four winners in the sectors of software, automotive products, household furniture and home appliances, with Samsung’s activ dualwashTM, AddWashTM and FlexWashTM winning the Grand Prix award in the home appliances category.
“This recognition reflects our effort to create consumer-focused and ergonomic products derived from countless hours of behavioral research and user analyses,” said Hyunjoo Song, Vice President of the Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics. “We will continue to make groundbreaking new technologies and innovations to better the lives of our devoted consumers.”
The three advanced laundry machines at the heart of Samsung’s ergonomic design series showcase Samsung’s relentless innovation and continued industry leadership in the home appliances space:

* activ dualwashTM: features an upper sink for easier pre-treatment without having to bend down.
* AddWashTM: attaches a small window on the main door, which can open widely when consumers have extra clothing, detergent or fabric softeners to add during the wash.
* FlexWashTM: a holistic and all-in-one laundry system that offers an upper washer and a main washer on the bottom in one compact unit.

For its part, FlexWashTM also was recognized with the Best of Best Ergonomic Design Award by the Ergonomic Society of Korea (ESK) in April. The system adds flexibility to laundry routines and saves time by enabling users to handle multiple loads of sorted clothing at once. Rather than putting the second compartment in the pedestal, Samsung installed it on top of the main drum so users can comfortably perform laundry without stretching or bending over.
In addition, the transparent glass material of the top door of FlexWashTM allows users to look inside the machine and monitor the cycle’s progress, and the ‘VRT plus (Vibration Reduction Technology plus)’ of the washing machine reduces noise and disruptive floor vibrations.

23 мая 2017 Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. («Samsung») и SK Telecom стали обладателями почётной награды «Infrastructure Innovation Award», которая была вручена их представителям британским отраслевым журналом GTB (Global Telecom Business) в рамках мероприятия Telecoms Innovation Summit 2017.
Samsung и SK объединили свои усилия, чтобы исследовать и проверить на практике возможность использования частоты mmWave (23Hz) для ультраскоростной связи в режиме реального времени, что необходимо для развития мобильных сетей пятого поколения (5G).
В сентябре 2016 партнёры объявили, что успешно завершили разработку технологии передачи данных 5G mmWave путём подключения базовых станций к волоконно-оптическим сетям операторов. Но что ещё более важно, компании первыми в мире успешно разработали и испытали ряд ключевых технологий передачи огромных объёмов информации "по воздуху", подтвердив тем самым возможность коммерческой эксплуатации сетей 5G в самых перспективных областях, включая UHD TV, IoT (интернет вещей) и системы самоуправляемых автомобилей.

Award” at Global Telecoms Business (GTB) Telecoms Innovation Summit

SK Telecom and Samsung Electronics jointly won the “Infrastructure Innovation Award” at the Global Telecoms Business (GTB) Telecoms Innovation Summit 2017 for their successful verification of 5G mobile handover in an urban outdoor environment – a world first.
SK Telecom and Samsung teamed up to research and verify technical feasibilities of using mmWave frequency (28GHz) for super-fast and real-time 5G mobility services. In September 2016, the companies announced they successfully completed the 5G mmWave handover by connecting base stations to operators’ fiber optic networks. Besides 5G handover, the companies successfully tested 3D (Dimension) beam forming and confirmed the accuracy of the ray tracing RF design solution, which are considered to be the key enablers to make 5G mmWave commercially ready.

Samsung Display и LG Display присуждены награды SID (Society for Information Display) "Дисплей года" в знак признания их лидерства в области создания передовых технологий отображения, сообщает портал ETnews.
Очередное мероприятие SID (Общество призводителей информационных дисплеев) пройдёт в Лос-Анджелесе (США) в Convention Center с 21 по 26 мая.
SID отбирает продукты с наиболее продвинутыми характеристиками и техническим исполнением за прошедший год в трёх категориях: лучший дисплей для мобильных устройств, лучший телевизионный дисплей и дисплей для профессионального применения.
Подразделение Samsung Display получило награду за создание гибких OLED-экранов с выдающимися параметрами, применяемых во флагманских смартфонах. Эта технология впервые позволила создавать мобильные трубки с новыми форм-факторами, где изогнутые грани не только подчёркивают эстетический блеск этих изделий, но и улучшают эргономику, что отражается на удобстве использования гаджетов.
"Samsung Display предоставил рынку мобильных устройств дифференцированную линейку высокотехнологичных гибких OLED-продуктов. Соотечественники из LG Display также были отмечены наградой SID за создание сверхтонкой гибкой OLED-панели для 65-дюймового UHD-телевизора, который можно прикреплять к стене подобно обоям. Аппарат уже был обласкан целым рядом престижных международных наград и влиятельных отраслевых изданий.

Samsung Display and LG Display Awarded ‘This Year’s Award’ from Society for Information Display

Samsung Display and LG Display are awarded for ‘This Year’s Display Award’ from SID (Society for Information Display) 2017 and are recognized for their leadership in technologies.
SID 2017 is going to be held at Los Angeles Convention Center from the 21st until the 26th.
SID selects products with excellent results and technical skills out of products that were released in previous year from three fields of display, display application, and display part and holds Display Industry Awards.
Samsung Display is awarded this year’s display award with its quad-edge flexible OLED for Smartphones and it was recognized for its technical skill that has implemented all sides of a display as curved type.
Samsung Display’s quad-edge flexible OLED has ends of the top and the bottom of a panel finely bent in 25R (radius, 25mm radius of curvature) and displays gradual curves at the top and the bottom of a screen. It also applied four different curves to the left and the right edges so that it provides aesthetic impression and feeling of convenient grip when a Smartphone is held. Level of curve becomes steeper as value of R becomes smaller and Samsung Display finely applied different curvature in an order of 35R, 9.4R, 5.4R, and 3.8R from the center of a panel to the end.
Quad-edge OLED panel has reduced black matrix (BM), which is a non-operative area, from edges of a screen to a point where one might think that there is no bezel. Major technology of quad-edge OLED panel eliminates interference that occurs from reduction of gap between circuits which needs to be done in order to reduce BM area. Samsung Display has reduced bezel 0.2mm more than previous product through its technology that increases resolution of a display while it minimizes BM area.

LG Display is awarded this year’s display award with 65-inch UHD wallpaper OLED TV panel. Thickness of this product is not even 1mm and it has level of immersion in viewing and high effects on design as it can be attached to wall like a frame due to its thickness of 3.55mm and weight of 7.4kg when it is manufactured as part of a TV.
Wallpaper TV panel implements excellent quality through OLED technology and is seen as an innovative product that presents new possibilities for displays from aspects of applications and design.
Including the best innovative award at CES 2017, it was awarded from many global influential media such as Engadget. It once again proved its overwhelming technical skill as it is selected as a best display at SID 2017.

Samsung получил российскую награду «Лучший социальный проект»

В Москве прошёл конкурс и форум «Лучшие социальные проекты России», участники которого обсудили темы развития социальной ответственности в компаниях и госструктурах и поделились своим опытом. В мероприятии отметились более двухсот проектов, из которых были отобраны победители.
Во время торжественной церемонии, состоявшей из 13 категорий, прошло награждение лучших социальных инициатив, реализованных как в России, так и на международном уровне.
Среди победителей была отмечена корпорация Samsung Electronics, которая запустила на территории РФ целый ряд социально ориентированных проектов (например, IT-школы Samsung, «Живые страницы» и т.д.).
Ежегодный конкурс «Лучшие социальные проекты России» проводится с 2012 года. В конкурсе принимают участие ведущие компании, фонды и государственные структуры, поддерживающие инициативу организаторов в пропаганде социальной проблематики.

Samsung Pay - лучший мобильный платёжный сервис в России

Samsung Pay признан лучшим платежным сервисом по версии авторитетного журнала «Банковское обозрение». Эта информация появилась в разделе новостей на официальном сайте компании. Соответствующий вывод эксперты сделали на основании опроса, целью которого было выявить удовлетворённость клиентов удобством использования и ощущением защищённости проводимых транзакций.
Сегодня Samsung Pay принимается к оплате практически везде, где можно платить при помощи банковской карты вне зависимости от наличия чипа ближнего поля, следует из отчёта «Банковского обозрения». Именно этот аспект, вероятно, стал решающим при вынесении пользователями итогового решения. При этом воспользоваться сервисом сегодня могут клиенты 12 отечественных банков и НКО.

Сегодня Samsung Pay может быть использован со всеми устройствами компании с модулем NFC/MST и благодаря своей универсальности является основным платёжным инструментом для десятков тысяч россиян.
По мере насыщения рынка смартфонами со встроенными комбинированными модулями MST/NFC, особенно в доступных ценовых сегментах, аудитория пользователей Samsung Pay будет заметно расширена.
