Samsung готовит к выпуску не менее 4-х модификаций премиальных TIZEN-часов серии Galaxy с диаметром корпуса 41 и 45 мм

Всё больше рендеров новейших смарт-часов от Samsung появляется на просторах Сети. Очередной слив в твиттер-ленте Эвана Бласса (@evleaks) позволяет рассмотреть новинку во всех деталях.
Galaxy Watch 3, согласно имеющимся данным, получат 1,2" и 1,4" OLED-дисплеи для версий 41 и 45 мм соответственно, 1Гб ОЗУ, 8 Гб ПЗУ, модуль NFC, водозащиту, хороший уровень автономной работы и классический дизайн. Корпуса этих носимых устройств будут выполнены из нержавеющей стали и титанового сплава, а экран защищён стеклом Corning Gorilla DX.
Судя по обновлённому программному интерфейсу, гаджеты получат новейшую версию операционной системы TIZEN 5.5, которая должна обеспечить лучшую автономность и расширенный набор функций.
Предполагается, что также будут доступны версии со встроенным модулем LTE/4G, что обеспечит работу часов в полностью автономном режиме, без синхронизации со смартфоном. Не исключено, что в этих моделях будет установлено 1,5Гб ОЗУ. 
Помимо традиционного отслеживания физической активности и замера пульса, Galaxy Watch 3 получат возможность мониторинга кровяного давления и ЭКГ. Это особенно важно для людей, испытывающих проблемы с сердечно-сосудистой системой. Кроме того, часы поддерживают фирменный сервис бесконтактных мобильных платежей Samsung Pay.
Напомним, что первыми устройствами Samsung, поддерживающими все указанные выше опции, стали актуальные модели серии Galaxy Watch Active2, поступившие в продажу осенью 2019 года. 
Грядущие Galaxy Watch 3 (модельные номера SM-R840, SM-R845F, SM-R755F, SMR850F), помимо улучшенных технических характеристик, получат 3 цветовых варианта: чёрный, серебристый и медный. На рендерах хорошо просматривается дизайн с круглым дисплеем и двумя навигационными кнопками, а также новые варианты фирменных циферблатов.
Презентация новинок ожидается в следующем месяце (ориентировочно 22 июля). Тогда же должны быть представлены новые беспроводные наушники Galaxy Buds и топовый планшет Galaxy Tab S7.

Samsung is preparing to release at least 4 modifications of the premium Galaxy Watch 3 with a case diameter of 41 and 45 mm

More and more renders of the newest smartwatches from Samsung appear on the Web. Another drain in the Twitter feed of Evan Blass (@evleaks) allows you to consider this device in all details. 
Galaxy Watch 3, according to available data, will receive 1.2 "and 1.4" OLED displays for 41 and 45 mm versions, respectively, 1GB of RAM, 8GB ROM, NFC module, water resistance, good battery life and classic design. The cases of these wearable gadgets will be made of stainless steel and a titanium alloy, and the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla DX glass.
Judging by the updated software interface, gadgets will receive the latest version of the TIZEN 5.5 operating system, which should provide better autonomy and an expanded set of functions.
It is assumed that versions with a built-in LTE/4G module will also be available, which will ensure that the watch works in a fully autonomous mode, without synchronization with a smartphone. It is possible that in these models 1.5 GB of RAM will be installed.
In addition to the traditional tracking of physical activity and heart rate, Galaxy Watch 3 will be able to monitor blood pressure and ECG. This is especially important for people with problems with the cardiovascular system. In addition, the watch supports Samsung Pay, a proprietary contactless mobile payment service.
Recall that the first Samsung devices that support all of the above options were the current models of the Galaxy Watch Active2 series, which went on sale in the fall of 2019.
The upcoming Galaxy Watch 3 (model numbers SM-R840, SM-R845F, SM-R755F, SMR850F), in addition to improved technical specifications, will receive 3 color options: black, silver and copper. Samsung Electronics собирается представить новый холодильник, который оснащён системой очистки воды. В результате техногигант выйдет на рынок водоочистителей, снова вернув эту функцию в свои холодильники после некоторого перерыва. Технопортал ETNews задаётся вопросом, приведёт ли выпуск указанных аппаратов к тому, что Samsung также выйдет на рынок аренды, поскольку очиститель воды - это бытовой прибор, который нуждается в обслуживании. 
По данным отраслевых источников, Samsung разработал новый холодильник модельного ряда 2020 года, который оснащён продвинутой системой очистки воды, и планирует выпустить новый продукт в ближайшее время. Ходят слухи, что Samsung уже закончил подготовку к выпуску этой инновационной модели.

Samsung Electronics to Release a New 2020 Refrigerator with Water Purification System

Samsung Electronics is planning to introduce a new refrigerator that is equipped with an ability to purify water. As a result, Samsung Electronics will be entering the water purifier market by applying water purification system to its refrigerators again after not using the function for a while. It will be interesting to see whether the release of such refrigerators will lead Samsung Electronics to also enter the rental market as water purifier is a home appliance that will need maintenance.
According to the industry, Samsung Electronics has developed a new 2020 refrigerator that is equipped with a water purification system and is planning to release the refrigerator soon. It is heard that Samsung Electronics already finished making necessary preparations to release the product.
Although the water purification system is combined with the refrigerator, it is developed so that its performance level is higher than water purification systems that are sold individually. Its capacity to purify water is 2,300 liters that surpasses capacities of most of water purification systems that are on the market. The industry predicts that Samsung Electronics will utilize professionals from its subsidiary Samsung Electronics Service and provide a maintenance service. Samsung Electronics Services has a national service network.
Although Samsung Electronics introduced refrigerators with water filters in the past, it decided to remove water filters due to low level of preference from its consumers. Afterwards, it put out few “sparkling refrigerator” models that produce carbonated water and did not release any refrigerators with water filters.
Reasons why Samsung Electronics is introducing such refrigerator again are because Samsung Electronics wants to raise functionality of its refrigerators when target the rental market that is growing daily. The rental market is growing at a rapid rate due to the emergence of millennials who value “functions” of products rather than “possession” of products. Due to high profitability of rental business, major corporations such as SK and LG have also entered the market recently.
It will be interesting to see whether Samsung Electronics will also release a water purification system separately. Samsung Electronics currently provides its water purification systems to rental service providers such as Kyowon, Hyundai Rental Care, and home shopping malls and does not release them to the market as separate items.
As a result, Samsung Electronics releasing its water purification system separately will indicate that it plans to be serious about entering the water purifier market and the rental market. Although its home appliance business department already developed a water purification system, it has yet to decide on whether it is going to release the product or not.
“It is true that Samsung Electronics has developed a water purification system and many are considering internally on whether they are going to enter the water purifier market.” said a high-ranking official from Samsung Electronics.

Harman/Kardon's new FLY earphones are a serious Apple AirPods competitor 

Though Harman/Kardon has been acquired by Samsung a while ago, it doesn't mean the audio company is forbidden to compete with the South Korean company's products. And so, Harman/Kardon returns to the audio market with a new lineup of FLY headphones, which promise to take sound “to sophisticated new heights.”
The new FLY series includes three different models aimed at customers looking for specific features: FLY BT, FLY TWS, and FLY ANC. These names are abbreviations of specific connectivity and audio technologies. For example, BT comes from Bluetooth, TWS means true wireless, while ANC is short for active noise canceling.
FLY TWS ($150) are the real Samsung Galaxy Buds and Apple AirPods competitors. The earphones offer full-touch controls when they're connected to a smartphone and offer up to 15 hours of playback combined with the charging case. Without the charging case though, you'll get about 6 hours of battery life. The FLY TWS are also water-resistant and sweatproof.

В последнее время наушники с шумоподавлением актуальны как никогда, поскольку многие мобильные пользователи часто работают вне дома, например во время поездок на каком-либо виде транспорта. Представленные беспроводные наушники AKG N400 ANC, как полагают некоторые рыночные эксперты, могут затмить даже последнюю фирменную новинку Samsung Galaxy Buds+.
AKG N400 водонепроницаемы и даже могут работать под водой в течение 30-ти минут, что подтверждается рейтингом IPX. SAMSUNG/HARMAN Alliance releases new AKG-tuned TWS earbuds with the ANC

Samsung has launched the AKG N400, a new pair of true-wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds. These accessories, unlike the Galaxy Buds+, have active noise cancellation (ANC). They also hold an IP rating and different color options over the pre-existing earphones.

Many Samsung fans may have been surprised to learn that the OEM did not include ANC in the Galaxy Buds refresh developed to accompany the S20 series at its launch. This feature, as it turns out, has been reserved for a new set of accessories instead. The N400s are also TWS earphones released under the AKG audio-focused sub-brand.
These new peripherals have an IPX7 ingress-protection rating, which is also missing in the Galaxy Buds+. Their ANC does reduces the new earphones' 6-hour battery life by 1 hour, although their charging case is rated to add 12 more. This is where the Buds+ have an edge: they may support up to 11 hours' worth of playback between charges.
The N400s are, like the Buds+, capable of wireless and USB type C charging. They have 8.2mm drivers with a frequency response of 10-20000 hertz (Hz) and a 16-ohm impedance. To date, these Bluetooth 5.0 TWS earbuds are only available in South Korea, where they ship in black, silver or gold/navy for 230000 won (~$187).

Samsung Electronics объявляет о запуске в массовое производство первого в отрасли 16-гигабайтного мобильного пакета LPDDR5 DRAM для смартфонов премиум-класса следующего поколения. Новая версия модуля получила расширенные функции 5G и AI и за счёт добавленной ёмкости память больше подходит для графически требовательного гейминга и «вычислительной» фотографии. Выпуск предыдущей модели памяти, LPDDR5 объёмом 12Гб, Samsung начал в июле 2019 года.

Скорость передачи данных у модуля LPDDR5 объёмом 16Гб составляет 5500 Мбит/с, что примерно в 1,3 раза выше показателя мобильной памяти предыдущего поколения LPDDR4X (4266 Мбит/с). По сравнению с 8-гигабайтным пакетом LPDDR4X новая мобильная DRAM обеспечивает свыше 20% экономии энергии при увеличенной в 2 раза ёмкости. Кроме того, 16-гигабайтный LPDDR5-пакет для мобильных ПК состоит из 8-ми 12-гигабитных и 4-х 8-гигабитных чипов, благодаря чему премиальные смартфоны обладают вдвое большей ёмкостью DRAM, чем многие ноутбуки и игровые компьютеры.

Во 2-й половине 2020 года корпорация также планирует начать массовый выпуск 16-гигабитных модулей LPDDR5. Они будут основаны на технологии 10-нм (1z) 3-го поколения в соответствии с разработкой чипсета 6400 Мбит/с. Samsung Begins Mass Production of Industry’s First 16GB LPDDR5 DRAM for Next-Generation Premium Smartphones

Based on Samsung’s 2nd-generation 10nm-class process technology, the 16GB LPDDR5 mobile DRAM package delivers industry’s highest performance and largest capacity

Samsung Electronics, a world leader in advanced memory technology, today announced that it has begun mass producing the industry’s first 16-gigabyte (GB) LPDDR5 mobile DRAM package for next-generation premium smartphones. Following mass production of the industry-first 12GB LPDDR5 in July, 2019, the new 16GB advancement will lead the premium mobile memory market with added capacity that enables enhanced 5G and AI features including graphic-rich gaming and smart photography.

“Samsung has been committed to bringing memory technologies to the cutting edge in allowing consumers to enjoy amazing experiences through their mobile devices. We are excited to stay true to that commitment with our new, top-of-the-line mobile solution for global device manufacturers,” said Cheol Choi, senior vice president of memory sales & marketing, Samsung Electronics. “With the introduction of a new product lineup based on our next-generation process technology later this year, Samsung will be able to fully address future memory demands from global customers.”

Data transfer rate for the 16GB LPDDR5 comes in at 5,500 megabits per second (Mb/s), approximately 1.3 times faster than the previous mobile memory (LPDDR4X, 4266Mb/s). Compared to an 8GB LPDDR4X package, the new mobile DRAM delivers more than 20-percent energy savings while providing up to twice the capacity.

Samsung’s 16GB LPDDR5 mobile DRAM package consists of eight 12-gigabit (Gb) chips and four 8Gb chips, equipping premium smartphones with twice the DRAM capacity found in many higher-end laptops and gaming PCs today. Along with the blazing-fast performance, the industry’s largest capacity supports dynamic and responsive game play as well as ultra-high-resolution graphics on premium smartphones for highly immersive mobile gaming experiences.

As Samsung continues to expand LPDDR5 mobile DRAM production at its Pyeongtaek site, the company plans to mass-produce 16Gb LPDDR5 products based on third-generation 10nm-class (1z) process technology in the second half of this year, in line with the development of a 6,400Mb/s chipset. Such relentless innovation is expected to well-position Samsung to further solidify its competitive edge in markets such as premium mobile devices, high-end PCs and automotive applications.

Samsung’s CDU50 Next Generation Baseband Unit Advances 5G Evolution with Cutting-Edge Technologies

Samsung’s new BBU provides six times greater capacity and flexibility in deployment, designed to support both DRAN and CRAN

Samsung Electronics today announced the commercial availability of its next generation Baseband Unit (BBU), the CDU50. The new solution was first commercialized in Korea and will be commercially launched in the U.S. and other global markets in the second quarter of this year.
Samsung’s CDU50 offers increased performance in comparison to the prior model, while supporting all LTE and 5G NR network frequencies in one unit. The BBU can support both Distributed RAN (DRAN) and Centralized RAN (CRAN) configurations. With these improvements, carriers can achieve increased flexibility in managing a network and meaningful cost reduction.

Key enhanced features of the next generation BBU are:

* Enhancing performance: Six times increase in capacity supporting a greater number of cells and nearly two times faster network throughput with Samsung’s new 5G modem.
* Single unit supporting both LTE and 5G NR: Enables convenient operation of network, and saves installation space while reducing CAPEX and OPEX.
* Supporting both DRAN and CRAN: Increased operational efficiency through improved network reliability and resource management, as well as performance enhancements and cost savings.
* Improving connection flexibility: Support both CPRI and eCPRI connections to bring greater flexibility in network deployments.

Модель T7 Touch при скорости чтения 1050 МБ/с и скорости записи 1000 МБ/с2 работает примерно в 2 раза быстрее, чем его предшественник, модель T5. Более того, устройство может достигать максимальной скорости при использовании интерфейса NVMe.
Для обеспечения дополнительной безопасности в T7 Touch впервые на твердотельных накопителях Samsung встроен сканер отпечатков пальцев, в дополнение к защите паролем и 256-битному аппаратному AES шифрованию. Кроме того, он оснащён светодиодным индикатором ‘Motion LED’, который позволяет пользователю моментально определить состояние устройства. CES 2020: Samsung Releases Portable SSD T7 Touch – the New Standard in Speed and Security for External Storage Devices

Samsung’s newest pocket-sized external solid state drive delivers lightning-fast speeds and convenient fingerprint security in a sleek, durable package

Samsung Electronics announced the release of its latest external storage device – the Portable Solid State Drive (SSD) T7 Touch – which combines sleek, compact design with the fastest transfer speeds currently available based on the USB 3.2 Gen 2 standard. The new device also elevates data protection to the next level with an additional hardware security measure in the form of a built-in fingerprint sensor.
“Consumers who are constantly on the go between work, play and passion projects want to be able to securely carry their content with them,” said Dr. Mike Mang, vice president of Brand Product Biz Team, Memory Business at Samsung Electronics. “Now their data is secure thanks to the fingerprint recognition functionality incorporated into the product, which delivers industry-leading transfer speeds in a compact form factor.”
Designed for both professional and casual users, Samsung’s T7 Touch provides enough capacity to securely store large numbers of pictures, games or 4K/8K videos whether on a PC, tablet, smartphone or game console1, as well as the durability to take their content with them2.
The T7 Touch offers a significant speed upgrade over previous storage solutions. With a read speed of 1,050MB/s and a write speed of 1,000MB/s3, it is approximately twice as fast as its predecessor, the T5, and up to 9.5 times faster than external HDDs4. Moreover, the device can reach its maximum speed when used with the NVMe interface.
For an added layer of security, the T7 Touch brings the first built-in fingerprint scanner to Samsung SSDs on top of password protection and AES 256-bit hardware encryption. It also features a ‘Motion LED’, which allows the user to determine the status of the device simply with a single glance. Despite the considerable speed boost, hardware additions and solid metal (aluminum) casing, the new SSD still weighs in at a light 58 grams. The innovative nature of Samsung’s T7 Touch has been recognized at the CES 2020 Innovation Awards.
Available in a black or silver finish, the T7 Touch is offered in 500GB, 1TB and 2TB sizes, making it suitable for a wide range of use cases. To ensure reliable connectivity wherever the users may be, the drive comes with a USB Type-C-to-C cable and a USB Type-C-to-A cable, and is compatible with Windows, Mac and Android operating systems. The T7 Touch also includes a three-year limited warranty with manufacturer’s suggested retail prices (MSRP) of $129.99 for the 500GB, $229.99 for the 1TB and $399.99 for the 2TB.

Samsung announces the start of sales in Europe of a new device for the care of clothing AirDresser
