Samsung Electronics announced that beginning today, it is the first TV brand to integrate Apple Music on its TIZEN Smart TV platform. Consumers in over 100 countries will now be able to enjoy Apple Music right away on their Samsung Smart TVs.

На днях производитель зарегистрировал новую торговую марку Samsung Tap View в Бюро интеллектуальной собственности Европейского союза.
Брэнд относится к категории 9 и представляет собой программное обеспечение, позволяющее зеркально отображать экран мобильного устройства на телевизионном дисплее путём простого прикосновения устройства к телевизору.   
Описание указывает, что функция Samsung Tap View позволит зеркально отображать картинку с экрана смартфона, планшета или умных часов на телевизоре, достаточно лишь коснуться гаджетом до телевизора. Более того, возможно отображение даже с нескольких устройств. 
В настоящее время уже имеются различные варианты вывода контента со смартфона на телевизор, но, как правило, все они требуют качественного подсоединения к Wi-Fi. Новое решение задействует модуль NFC, что обеспечит максимальную простоту подключения. Подобная функция уже реализована в интерактивных электронных досках серии Samsung Flip, которые также базируются на TIZEN OS.

Samsung to make it easier to share mobile content with your TV

Samsung smartphone owners already have a number of options for mirroring the contents of their display onto a Samsung TV, but it seems the South Korea-based tech giant is about to introduce yet another solution — and one that looks pretty cool.
Samsung this week filed a trademark with the European Union Intellectual Property Office for a new software feature called “Samsung Tap View,” and the description included with the filing is pretty much what you’d expect with a name like that. The idea here is for a user to be able to tap their phone to their TIZEN-powered smart TV, which at that point would begin a mirroring of the mobile device display onto the TV.
The trademark filing was spotted by Dutch tech news site Let's go Digital, which reports that not only would this solution work with tablets and smartwatches, as well as phones — but, as envisioned, it seems to be possible to tap multiple mobile devices to your TV and mirror more than one display that way.
With CES just around the corner, we already know that Samsung will roll out its new smart TV models for the first half of the year during the big annual consumer electronics bash in Las Vegas. It seems likely that this new “Tap View” feature might get some attention at the trade show, as well.

The current flagship of the Galaxy Note series has received a software update that expands the capabilities of the camera

Samsung is pushing out a second Galaxy Note 9 update with the April 2019 security patch. There are a couple of new features that this update brings to the device — the Note 9 finally has the option to set a schedule for Night mode, and it is also getting the ability to switch between a narrow and wider field of view when taking selfies.
The field of view on the selfie camera is now set at 68 degrees by default and can be changed to the full 80-degree field of view with a tap on the toggle switch that resides above the shutter button. This is something Samsung introduced on the Galaxy S10 lineup and then later brought to the Galaxy S9 with a software update in March. It has now come to the Note 9, and it’s possible the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 will also get the field of view switch at some point.
The new update does not bring a Night mode for the camera app, in case you were wondering. It was the first thing we checked after installing the update on one of our Note 9s, and while Samsung has constantly been bringing camera features from new flagships to older devices, the company is likely to keep some of the Galaxy S10 camera functionality exclusive to the S10 trio for some time.
Now the update available in Germany with software version N960FXXU2CSDE; Samsung might bundle this update with the May security patch for some countries, so it may be a while before these changes come to Galaxy Note 9 users outside Germany.

Samsung Galaxy A50 received a major update

The update introduces a number of new features to the device, and also bundles the April 2019 security patch. Samsung also promises improved fingerprint recognition.
The update is available over the air and can be expected to reach all Galaxy A50 units over the next few days. It carriers software version A505FDDU1ASD6 and weighs just over 666Mb.
Samsung launched Bixby Routines, a feature that works on the If This Then That (IFTTT) principle, with the Galaxy S10 series earlier this year. The feature is also available in Samsung’s newer devices, such as the Galaxy A80. And with the latest software update, Bixby Routines has arrived on the Galaxy A50 as well.
The update also brings a number of new features to the Galaxy A50’s camera. The device gets a “Beauty Video Mode” for both front and rear cameras and supports more background effects for Live Focus images.
